Bergen (and Norway) is expensive and we found out that the price of the room doubles over the weekend. On the other hand, when you visit a country, we have to face some nuisances...Nevertheless, we enjoyed the hotel a lot. Our room was nice, overlooking the roofs of the houses nearby, very near to the centre and the port. It is also quite near the station or the bus for the airport. Breakfast is gorgeous and of good quality. The staff is also nice. I would recommend it

Excellent location. Small rooms. Breakfast was a little cold but a nice tea set up where we could use this any time in the day. There were a few quite cute items in breakfast like smoothies and yoghurts. Bits of salmon too which my dad liked. Very packed for breakfast so try come early. The receptionist wasn’t very friendly.

Very centrally located hotel. Rooms are compact but comfortable and breakfast is good. The ventilation system is rather noisy if you like a quiet bedroom and there is construction work outside the window which begins at 7 am which perhaps should be mentioned

I stayed 4 nights . Alas on the first two mornings I was woken up before 7am by the construction work going on outside my window. Not great. At least my final two mornings fell on the weekend when construction work ceased. A great location by the harbour . Room was fine . The buffet breakfast is excellent, but it gets rather overcrowded as the breakfast area is a bit too small . Get there before 8 am is my advice. Would have given four stars but for the construction work.

The room was very big, moder and nice. The bunkbeds (for the kids) were very squeaky and noisy during the night, but comfortable. The location is very close to the city center. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety, and everything tasted fresh and really good! Extremely good deal for the price, especially in Bergen!

I will start with two positive things about this hotel - the location in the centre of Bergen and the very nice breakfasts. But that´s where the positives ended for us. We stayed in this hotel for four nights in July. We asked for a room with two separate beds - there weren´t, but ok, not a big deal. What was a real surprise was that our room didn´t have an opening window. Ok, there was something inside the room that looked like air conditioning, so we tried to use it to get some fresh air into the room - it didn´t work at all. I asked twice at the reception desk to set up the lower temperature (the receptionist said she could do it from her computer) - didn´t work either. Thus, the room was hot and literally without oxygen (we stayed there in three). The thermometer on the device showed us 27,4 degrees while outside it was around 22. I don´t consider this to be fair to offer such a room as a standard "family room" (for four people!). So my advice, beware of room number 522 (unless the air conditioning is repaired). Also, the cleaning was quite poor. We definitely didn´t need any complete room cleaning, just empty the trash basket (you really don´t want to smell the trash in the room without the opening window), and fill the missing toilet paper - we had to ask for it at the reception desk because no one came into our room. The cleaning lady came into our room only the day before our departure and changed towels which didn´t make sense anymore.

The hotel has friendly staff and offers a good complimentary breakfast. It's conveniently within walking distance to a paid parking lot. However, one major downside was the inability to adjust the room temperature. Despite reaching out to the front desk for assistance, the room remained uncomfortably warm at 25 degrees Celsius. This was particularly problematic on the first floor, where we couldn't open the window due to safety concerns. Overall, it was an unpleasant stay.

Construction noise, |The hotel is wonderful, but unfortunately there was building construction right outside our bedroom window .|The worker started at 7:30 and went on until 4:00 to 4:30. When you have traveled 30 hours to get there you don't want to be woken up hearing jackhammering.|I also looked back on my records and had booked a queen room and we got a basic double room.|Room was clean.|Breakfast was superior.|
