HEIST Restaurant + Wine Club

This is a very classy place. The staff is very accommodating and they do their best to make sure your visit is satisfactory. I LOVED the atmosphere. Specifically the washrooms are so fancy and cute, which is one of my favourite things at restaurants. Chocolate mousse was an AMAZING dessert, cannot stop thinking about it.

My new favourite restaurant in Kingston! Heist checks every box in my books. The atmosphere is perfection. The seating is the most comfortable ever. The staff is lovely. The food was outstanding. The drinks menu and food menu is delightful. Zoe was our server and she was very attentive and knowledgeable.

HEIST has hands-down the best oysters I've tasted in Kingston. They are super fresh from PEI. So delicious that all you need is lemon, although they do offer hot sauce, vinegar and horseradish on the side. I appreciate that they offer a range of mocktails alongside their cocktail menu! I tried "Robbery" and it was really nice and tart. I didn't even miss the alcohol. One negative is that the acoustics inside the building were not great. It's an old building so with lots of people talking and the sound bouncing around, it becomes quite loud. We were ok but if you are hard of hearing you might struggle to maintain a conversation. On the plus side, all the servers are lovely and their bread is to die for! I will absolutely be coming back.

We had a wonderful evening at Heist in Kingston! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The pork belly was honestly the best I’ve ever had – perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The branzino was delicate and melting, and the cocktails were spot-on, clearly curated with care. The Caesar salad was also delicious and fresh. If I had one suggestion, it would be portion and detail touches: the scallops, while tasty, could have been larger or offered as four pieces when serving two people (we wouldn’t have minded paying extra). The fries, although decent, felt like a missed opportunity – an aioli, flavored mayo, or real truffle oil would have elevated them beyond the basic ketchup option. Overall, though, Heist delivered a memorable dining experience with stand-out dishes and excellent drinks. We’ll be back!

Delicious 😋 The atmosphere is so nice. Service is fantastic. The girls and I loved our gathering. Only one suggestion, take the corn out of the Ceasar salad, or just sprinkle some on. I had a whole cob on mine. The sweetness of the corn is overpowering. Also, add a piece of garlic bread toast for garnish... There were no croutons on the salad, so a salty piece of carbs would pare nicely. It was a pricey meal... But we loved the experience!

We were visiting the Kingston area and picked this restaurant by random after searching for restaurants on Google. We loved this restaurant and had a great experience. The food we ate was delicious, and the vibe was great. We were seated after 8:30 so bottles of wine were 1/2 price which we thougt was a brilliant idea. The wine list is quite extensive. Our server Patrick was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the Millionaires semifreddo for dessert. It was one of the best restaurant desserts I've had in a long time. I would recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I went there for our anniversary. We both ordered the 8 ounce tenderloin steak. It was absolutely delicious. Melting in your mouth. Best steak I’ve ever eaten. I also ordered the Caesar salad. Best Caesar salad I’ve ever had in my entire life. I would definitely recommend this place and I’ll definitely be coming back.

The atmosphere and interior created an elegant ambience. The service was great, and our server often checked in to make sure everything was good. We ordered pizzas and pastas to share and enjoyed everything we ordered. The vodka pasta and caramelized onion pizzas were our favourites. We also got a tiramisu to end the meal which had a strong espresso flavour. Would come back and try other items!

the pasta dish was really quite nice , I have no critiques of the food itself. the sauce had a great savory taste, the sausage was a great addition, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. my only issue is the price! $29 for this pasta dish... 2025 is really gonna bankrupt me. the restaurant interior is stunning. it's so spacious and long and really lovely. even the exterior is nice tbh. the staff were so kind and accomodating. if you don't mind spending a bit extra, I definitely recommend this place

We had a great dinner here, really enjoy the atmosphere and the service was excellent. Some really great Wine selections not usually available elsewhere. Food was magnificent and desert was also just as good. Would recommend you visit

What a treasure! First of all, the service was really amazing. The food was excellent. Perfect portions. We had oysters, followed by scallops then entrees. We were not rushed at all. We paired drinks and enjoyed our entire meal. We will definitely be back!!!

10/10 all around. the food was so good and flavorful, i sat at the bar so the service was good and the bartender even offered me a free lemon drop shot (yay!). overall this restaurant would make the perfect place for a night out with friends, family, or date night. the whiskey sour was soo good, i only needed 1. also the portions were good for the price, which in my opinion is a good price point for the quality of food, overall vibe and service.

Absolutely stunning restaurant! The espresso martinis are the best I've ever had - not too sweet and always so good that we have to order another round. Menu highlights include the steak tartar, oysters, gnocchi and steak. Everything we've had so far has been absolutely delicious. I will say that, just like any restaurant, there can be hiccups. My husband ordered his steak rare, and it came out well done. We told the waitress and she had another one made, but it took quite a long time. It was a little disappointing as my food had already come out and I wanted to enjoy it warm, so I ate - and then by the time I was done his meal arrived. So we ended up eating separately. Not the end of the world, but worth mentioning as it's really nice when steaks are checked before heading out to the tables. Still giving it 5 stars because the food and ambiance are top notch!

The food was expensive and not good. The stuffed eggplant was awful - tastless and greasy. The broccoli was overcooked . I suffered severe diarrhea when I got home. The service and ambiance were good...but... Dave Gordon

Excellent atmosphere and welcoming service! We were very pleased with the cocktails, caesar salad and pizzas. The wine was excellent as well. Pricey but you get what you pay for! Highly recommended!

Extremely slow, overpriced and mediocre food. Pass. We waited a full 45 mins to get order in and then everything took forever to come. A full 2.5 hr supper experience ...: with less than stellar food.

Excellent food and service with a very comfortable patio area. Started with complementary focaccia bread that I had trouble saving for the delicious mussel broth. The fritto misto was great with a light tempura batter on the calamari shrimp and salmon. The chicken was a great choice for its crispy skin and tender moist meat. They have a reasonable selection of wine by the glass. Overall a great meal and highly recommended.
