sadly doburoku is very hard to find in japan. i had a good time trying everything made here. the basil and white koji were the best. the servers answered all of my annoying questions and after a while i hope we had a fun time talking. i wonder if one day there will be an option that is plain, unwatered-down, and moderately aged, but maybe there's no benefit to ageing doburoku? i know that other (loosely) unfiltered rice alcohols benefit from ageing (after the grains of rice have been removed). i will be back if i can go next time im in tokyo! i wish it were possible to take out smaller sizes of any drink because a big glass bottle was too cumbersome for me.
