Helenekilde Badehotel

Our group stayed in this hotel mid September 2024. We tried to confirm if the wifi was good enough for some important business meetings. We sent emails which they never responded to. We called several times and waited a total of 20 minutes and they never responded. One of our colleagues had to book somewhere else given the lack of response and they would not allow him to cancel. It is a take it or leave it attitude at this hotel. They never apologized for not responding to our emails and argued that it is normal to wait 20 minutes for their reception to respond! We spoke to reception personnel and two of their superiors and all were supportive of their actions. Beware of what to expect!

One of the nicest hotel stays I ever had. Rooms are clean, garden is spacious and comfy, beach is just around the corner. Breakfast is amazing - only limited choices, but food is hand-made, super tasty and high in quality. Staff was really helpful and caring

I don’t often write reviews but I thought this hotel and staff deserve the recognition. We had a couple of teething issues when we arrived but Nina the Operations Manager dealt with it brilliantly. The location is stunning, it has a great relaxed vibe and we also had a fantastic dinner here. All in all I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Unfortunately ended in a very bad experience. We arrived and had a lovely lunch and went out for dinner. We went to bed around 1030 and we’re woken up at 12AM to what we think was coming back from the town or people leaving the restaurant. Or potentially staff talking outside. We were staying in room number nine and was unfortunately so loud we could barely sleep. when we spoke to reception the next day they offered no Discount, even though we explained the situation and got maybe two hours of sleep. They basically told us because we didn’t know where the noise came from. They couldn’t see anyone on their cameras that there’s nothing they could do. They just didn’t care. ||Beauty location and nice lunch but horrible sleep.

Unfortunately a really bad sleep experience. We stayed in room 9. The hotel is beautiful and the location is amazing. Besides the dirty stained carpets the rooms are quite cute. Between the hours of around 11pm-2am there were restaurant guests or hotel staff hanging out below our room/patio window and taking loudly to a point where we were woken up and could not go back to sleep. Then another group came later and kept us awake. There is no phone in the room so we could not call the front desk and were too exhausted to open the window and tell them to please be quiet. We told the staff in the morning and they didn’t offer anything but an apology. It is unfortunately very thin windows and so loud it sounded like they were in our room. I would bet the ocean rooms are quite nice but cannot recommend the rooms with windows toward the parking lot and if you stay here do not let them put you in Room 9.

Great and cozy hotel on the Danish Riviera with fantastic views and surroundings. A perfect get away to take it easy and enjoy some time as a couple, with friends or by yourself. Unfortunately the restaurant service doesn't live up to the location, ambience of the hotel, the views and price of the stay. The food was good but exceptional slow service with constant mistakes during the dinners for example forgetting orders, forgetting cutlery, forgetting bread, forgetting salt & pepper. Eating here will require a lot of patient, but everything else great.

Loved this hotel so much. Decor absolutely gorgeous, felt so Danish, overlooking the sea and with sauna with sea views, great breakfast too. Very friendly and helpful host. Relaxed yet uber stylish.|Loved it.

We had booked a dinner at Helenekilde Badehotel through its sister hotel, Sanders, where we were staying in Copenhagen. We spent the day sightseeing north of Copenhagen and then drove over for our 8pm dinner reservation. When we walked in and mentioned we had a dinner reservation, the woman at the desk looked panicked. She explained that because they (and other area hotels and restaurants) were having trouble finding enough serving staff, they had cancelled dinner reservations for our night and had made calls to all of their dinner guests to let them know. She was horrified that we had not received a call (it may have gone to Sanders instead), but immediately got to work, calling every restaurant in the area to find us a table. After about 20 minutes, she found one for us. In the meantime, she let us look around the pretty hotel and was kind enough to take some pictures of us. She could not have been more friendly and helpful, and the hotel and the beach were just beautiful. She sent us off with profuse apologies and we drove off to our restaurant - the Restaurant Sletten in Humlebaek. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were surprised and delighted to find it had received a Michelin Star and we knew we were in for something special. The dinner was fantastic, the setting was so beautiful, and we felt so grateful to the very kind woman at Helenekilde Badehotel for her diligent and thoughtful work to find us a table on a Wednesday at a late hour and the delightful surprise that dinner turned out to be. She turned the proverbial lemon into lemonade! We hope we'll have an opportunity to visit and stay at the Helenekilde Badehotel sometime and to see and thank this very kind woman.

Extremely loud rooms if by the restaurant and parking lot. Nearly got no sleep. Went to front desk and they offered no discount for a horrible night stay. Service was nice but zero empathy or offer to create a pleasant experience.

wonderful terrace overlooking the bay. cant get anymore beautiful, BUT despite many tables being free we were quickly turned down and sent off....seemingly after a look up and down our admittedly not grand dress but still decent attire.... guys, summer is the only time u r going to make money so be nice to potential guests....
