What an aesthetic place! Booking one night with dinner was the best choice during our denmark trip. The Quality of food and accomodation is very good. Beware though of crazy dynamic pricing models here (did not see something like that before). Also, it would have been a bit cozier staying there if they would not host corporate retreats and give away the public spaces to them. Still, would totally recommend.

We stayed at Helenekilde Badehotel over the holidays and absolutely loved it. The hotel has such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with stunning views of the coast that make it feel like a true seaside escape. In December, the whole property exudes coastal holiday charm; from the relaxed vibe to the intimate spaces perfect for unwinding. We stayed on the top floor in two of the suites, which were comfortable, well-kept, and perfectly suited to the setting. The combination of charm, coziness, and those unbeatable views made for a truly memorable stay.

The location of the hotel is amazing, however, the condition of the hotel and its rooms is run-down at best. Charging this high of a price point is inappropriate for this hotel, that is in need of refurbishment. The dinner is ok, the breakfast buffet is disappointing, again especially given the price point and considering that there have been dirty dishes at both dinner and breakfast. All in all not a hotel worth staying at, especially given that the quality does most certainly not match the price.

We spent a wonderful two days in this classic, charming beach hotel. The location is spectacular, perched on a cliff above the sea, and the porch, terraces and gardens have lovely panoramic sea views. The rooms were comfortable ( no a/c but the ocean breezes keep the rooms cool even in August), the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast and dinner were delicious. Dinner on the terrace while the sun set over the sea was magical.

Gorgeous and romantic in the most fabulous location. I’ve been to Helekilde before but without staying overnight. So this time my boyfriend and I went together - the stay was part of his birthday gift. Helenekilde is really lovely we both feel. Cozy, intimate, nicely decorated, a relaxed atmosphere, good service from young friendly staff. Our room was number 7 - deluxe double with a big porch and amazing views. And the weather was glorious. Perfect for lounging in the charming garden, swimming in the ocean below and hopping into the sauna, drinks on the porches etc. PERFECT!!!!!! We were just bathed in happiness. Dinner was delicious, but out of proportion expensive- not sure I will do that again. 325kr for a small (but delish) fish entre…. Hmmmm. Breakfast was simple and lovely too. So all in all- truly a blessed trip! 🩷🩷🩷🩷 A couple of negatives though. The place looks like it needs some TLC. A little run down in places, sometimes hats ok but sometimes it’s on the wrong side of ok. Our bathroom stank like sewage (something we forgot to mention at checkout). And something I have never seen in all my years of travelling: we walked through the hotel to go to swim, at 7am. The cleaning staff was working, but the whole place was a gigantic mess of pillows and blankets all over and all the glasses and cups and plates from the guests that were hanging out late the night before, simply everywhere. Really really messy. Inside and out. Even our drink glasses from that previous afternoon and evening, still there. I have never seen anything like it. Plain bizarre. Every hotel usually makes sure the place is tidy and semi clean before it closes for the night. So early risers and swimmers don’t have to witness this. Not cool at all. Otherwise: fabulous time!!!! Can highly recommend.

What a lovely hotel! We enjoyed everything about our stay. Since there was no TV in the room, we were able to fully embrace a digital detox. The location was amazing—the sea and the garden were absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, served in a cozy and charming restaurant. Candles were lit throughout the hotel, and with a fireplace as well, it created wonderfully warm and relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable!

Stuff dry and not warm. There was no welcome, no explanation about anything. Room and stairs are dirty. Toilet not really cleaned properly. Rooms are tiny, no wardroble, not even space to put a suitcase. Not enough light in the bathroom. The only good thing in this hotel is its outside, i.e. the proximity to the sea. But you can get much cheper and pleasant places then that.

we stayed in December 2024 and I was surprised that our junior suite on upper floor was missing a wardrobe. Spiral staircase to our room in 2'nd floor also was a slight challenge - but I made it with 2 large suitcases ;-) Breakfast in the restaurant did not offer too much choice and when I requested an omlet, I was told that there are boiled eggs available. That's right - but there were cold at the second day when we went to breakfast a liitle bit later. Okay. Interior was very cozy - Sauna has a magnificant view on the sea - everybody was very charming. At the first day, we had construction works that were very noisy - but the lovely lady at the receiption desk offered us bikes for free - as a compensation deal. Thanks for that. We changed our room to first floor - that was a great choice. Ceiling was much higher than in the room at the 2nd floor and we had a wonderful wardrobe. Signature dinner was very tasty - but the dinner did not change next day. We've chosen an "a la carte" menue. Menue size was very small - and since we were outside all day - we still were hungry when we went to bed. In the roo mthere was no TV. We did not miss it - but I was surpirsed. But as far as I understood, you could ask the consierge to bring a TV to your room. |Lovely hotel, great interior, friendly staff, but I will not stay there again. Price and service do not match.

Extremely loud rooms if by the restaurant and parking lot. Nearly got no sleep. Went to front desk and they offered no discount for a horrible night stay. Service was nice but zero empathy or offer to create a pleasant experience.

wonderful terrace overlooking the bay. cant get anymore beautiful, BUT despite many tables being free we were quickly turned down and sent off....seemingly after a look up and down our admittedly not grand dress but still decent attire.... guys, summer is the only time u r going to make money so be nice to potential guests....
