Helge's Cheese

This place is popular for a reason. It's a small little shop that I almost walked past but saw the queue and knew it had to be good. You can get a huge sandwich for a great price, with a super fresh case of ingredients and fillings to choose from. The focaccia is phenomenal and they even make their spreads in-house daily (I recommend the pesto). I grabbed mine and ate it by the lakes. It was wonderful!

Couldn't be luckier to have helges as a local cheese/sandwich shop. I mostly know it for the cheese, though it's the sandwiches that they have become super hyped for. The staff are always incredibly friendly, and patient/supportive of me trying to order in Danish even though I'm not a native speaker. The tapas boards are also incredible.

Stopped by next door at granola and saw this shop, came back the next day. Amazing sandwiches! You choose your bread and fillings. I got focaccia with salami, artichokes and other southern Mediterranean fillings. Simply amazing. Must go if looking for an awesome sandwich with staff who have great knowledge.

The sandwiches here are amazing! The bread is all sourdough, sadly they were sold out of rye but the focaccia was amazing. Great cheese and meats.

Had a perfect sandwich there. Just passed by and saw people queuing - it really was worth waiting a few minutes. Take a cannoli pistachio for dessert - you won’t regret it. A bit pricey though.

Great value for money! We bought two focaccia sandwiches and only chose the meats and pesto, and let the staff choose the toppings. Very well balanced in flavours and staff was really kind and helpful. Would love to come back here

Although the coffee is good this place: 1. Has no Wi-fi. 2. When presenting a credit card automatically put it on a 5% tip (only place in Denmark so far). 3. Added a surcharge to a foreign credit card (also the only place in Denmark so far). No reason to come here- there’s enough good coffee in Copenhagen.

One of the best sandwiches I have ever had in my life. Incredible cheese shop with a charming staff. Do yourself a favor and grab lunch at this gem. $18 for two people with beverages. Also, lots of interesting shopping nearby: Dora across the street and Designdelicatessen around the corner.
