We found this company through Google — I simply searched for “Doors Off Helicopter Tour New Orleans”, and it was one of the first results with excellent ratings and reviews. Without hesitation, I decided to book a helicopter tour with them. The website was very easy and intuitive to use, and the booking and payment process was quick and smooth. I really liked that they offer several add-ons — for example, champagne with strawberries, video recording, and the Doors Off option. Flying in a helicopter without doors had been a long-time dream of mine, and since I had never done it before, I added this option right away. It was very reasonably priced — around an extra $40. In total, myself and my two children paid about $900 for a 22-minute flight over the city, and it was absolutely worth it. I truly believe this is a great deal and a unique experience. The pilot who flew with us also met us initially at the counter. From what I understood, she handles everything herself. I was honestly surprised when, after we checked in, she walked with us to the helicopter and it became clear that she would be our pilot. At first, it felt a bit unusual — she looked very young, and I had a brief moment of concern about safety. However, she clearly knows exactly what she’s doing and flew the helicopter flawlessly. Overall, this experience was 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in New Orleans.

This was an AMAZING experience. At first I was scared but the pilot made sure to keep me calm throughout the whole flight and made it easier for me to be put at ease. The pilot was also very informative and knowledgeable about the city of New Orleans. The person at the counter as well was amazing! The champagne was good and the candle that came with my package smells AMAZING. I definitely recommend this with your significant other.

Taken the swamp & city tour was both exhilarating & informative. Lina our pilot was awesome & very professional. A site to see with a birds eye view from the helicopter “Juliet” it was an breath-taken & highly recommended

I had my trip today,12th September 2025, together with my son, as part of my 60th birthday whilst spending 10 days in the city I've always wanted to visit, New Orleans. I can't recommend this enough. It was absolutely amazing and Lina, our pilot, was super helpful and gracious. All the points of interest were pointed out and if needed further facts were given. It really was the most amazing experience made all the more so by Lina. Thank you (just waiting on my photos to come through, so excited) x

The was the best helicopter ride I've been on. The pilot was very informative and knowledgeable of the city. I truely enjoyed it. From the time we checked in, til we left the young lady that checked us in was very professional and made sure she showed us how to conduct ourselves from start to finish for our own safety.

My husband & I last minute decided to book a tour, was so much fun! Our pilot Lina was amazing!! 10/10 experience!!

This was our first visit to the city of New Orleans, and we wanted to enjoy and see most parts of the city. We did take swamp tour and other small tours in town, but nothing could give us the entire view of the city. So we took a view of the city with Heli Co, and it turned out to be one of the best things we did while here in the city. The pilot was smooth in his ride, avoiding every turbulence, which I thought was typical of swampy and big waters. Not to mention, he was very knowledgeable about the local city. Excellent tour guide, besides being a pilot. He showed us everything we wanted to see and more! I see myself coming back and taking a longer flight, something longer than an hour. Overall, I was very impressed with the experience and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get the best visual tour of the city.

Amazing experience for first-timers! The beginner helicopter tour with Helico New Orleans was absolutely incredible! As a first-time flyer, I felt completely safe and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The pilot was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience fun with great commentary and a calm, reassuring vibe. The views over New Orleans were stunning — truly something you have to experience at least once. The entire team made it enjoyable, smooth, and unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a memorable and exciting introduction to helicopter tours!

I was surprised with a helicopter ride for my birthday. It was absolutely amazing. The staff was very nice and professional and my pilot was exactly flying skill were great. This is an experience i will never forget. The price was quite expensive because it was 200 for 15 minutes but it was definitely worth it

Had an amazing experience flying high above NOLA this morning!! I follow them on Instagram and they had a special promotion for their 1year anniversary in NOLA (HBD, BTW): $20 for a 2min ride or $35 for a 6 min ride. We added the "Adrenaline Package" for $10/pp and flew with the doors off and dipped and swerved over the Mississippi, Superdome, Crescent City Connection and Mardi Gras World! We showed up 30 min early to the Downtown NOLA Heliport, which is on the parking deck of the Superdome by Garage 6. However, you can't park in that section, bc it's contract parking only and there's no where to pull a ticket when you get to the garage kiosk. We ended up parking across Poydras and playing Human Frogger dodging cars to cross the street. Be careful. Don't forget to pay for street parking. We went ahead and paid for the max time of 2 hours and it was a good thing bc we got there early AND they were running a bit behind. It's $6.35 or peace of mind that you won't get a ticket! We climbed the stairs to the top of the garage deck and walked about halfway down the deck to the only open little staircase. There is a small building where you enter to check in. They'll weigh you with everything you will take on the chopper (purses & cell phones, etc) to make sure the combined weight is ok. 3 ppl per helicopter plus the pilot. We were just over 500 lbs between the 3 of us. They have an emergency flotation device you wear around your neck and you put it on like a back pack, and it's super fashionable. If you are flying with the doors off, they will even provide you with a rubbery phone holder lanyard you wear around your neck so your phone doesn't turn into a deadly projectile if it drops out of the chopper onto either a poor unsuspecting head below OR fall into the biggest dirty toilet bowl water that is the Mississippi River! The ride was awesome, our pilot, Brandon, was (don't forget to tip your pilot once you get back into the building-we gave $10 each, if that helps!) and the staff were super friendly & professional! So happy we have such unique experiences to add to our awesome city! This was definitely a bucket list item for me!

This is one amazing experience!!! I've lived in New Orleans my whole life and I've never seen my city like this. The view of NOLA from a helicopter is like no other and Heli Co. really makes it something special. Our pilot Eric was funny and personable. You wear head sets so you can communicate with your fellow helicopter passengers as well as the pilot while in air. Eric was cracking jokes and felt like an old friend by the time we landed!!! We were asked where we wanted to go but let Eric pick. We saw and flew over all of downtown, Bourbon Street, the GNO, Mississippi River, Jackson Square. We went out to the east over the Bywater, 9th Ward and out to Chalmette. Seeing the dilapidated Jazzland might have been one of the coolest parts... That and when Eric turned the helicopter sideways so we were looking straight at the ground from the side!!! Not a terrifying experience at all. I had a few butterflies when we first took off but the ride was smooth and I felt strapped in and safe the entire ride. I cannot wait for an excuse to give this as a gift to friends or family so I can go up again! Dying to see the city at night from the sky!!!

the 5 stars says great but what we had was fantastic!! thank you to the staff for making our flight so enjoyable. A+ on EVERYTHING!! The pilot, the Airman and of course the Airwoman was totally super cool. best part of our trip to New Orleans. we will do this again when we come back here!! So I purchased this flight on Groupon and it was worth every penny. Our pilot was so friendly and informative. I felt safe and adventurous at the same time. I plan on doing this again but maybe the longer tour!

Want a different way to experience the Crescent City that doesn't involve stepping over beads and beer puddles? Get above it all and feel like a rock star with these folks. I took my first flight with Heli recently and found the entire process of booking a flight, arriving, and getting in the air a breeze. Literally, my partner and I did an adrenaline rush flight with the doors off so that we could take aerial photos of the neighborhood I grew up in. Best part of the experience was the staff. Seriously, they make you feel like a celebrity throughout the entire experience. I finally had a view of my hometown that wasn't on everyone's Instagram or tourist book. Thank you guys. I'll be back again for sure.

What a great experience!!! First time on a helicopter tour, been wanting check this off my bucket list for a while. It was a super nice day sunny and warm. Clear view from the sky! Our pilot was very nice, polite, friendly made us feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this experience.

This was such a great experience. I thought I would be so scared but felt so safe the whole time. They really walk you through everything and the time in the air felt very secure. It was beautiful to see NOLA from the sky! I will definitely be going back with my family in the future.

Treated myself to a helicopter ride for my birthday and it was everything and more. We expected it to rain but the sun Gods were in our favor and had amazing weather. I opted to go at 11am to be able to see the landmarks during the day. All safety measures were taken in checking temperatures and checking weigh. We even got lost in our Uber and they called to inform the next guest to not come at their designated time to be able to have us not all be there. Our pilot Mark was very friendly, knowledgeable, an excellent pilot and the trip was extremely smooth. The views were stunning from the top, granted we had clear skies which made a huge difference. I also got a 30 min ride and the time still flew by so definitely get the 30 min ride or more. I took pictures beforehand, in the ride and afterwards on my phone and Mark also took pictures of us. They even gave me a birthday card! Overall, so happy that my first helicopter ride was awesome and would highly recommend it with Helico given the amazing experience I had.

Decided to surprise my boyfriend with a helicopter tour for his birthday this past weekend and it was amazing. It was a last minute surprise but it was a success. At first we couldn't find the location and HELI co was kind enough to pick us up a a mile away. The pilot was hilarious! My boyfriend was smiling ear to ear. Overall it was a great experience.

Heli Co. Nola provided us with a great experience, friendly and accommodating staff, and affordable adventure! I would recommend Heli Co Nola for a girls weekend, exciting date night, or for that unique New Orleans experience (whether local or tourist!). Thanks Olivia and Wes!
