We stayed at Heliotopos Hotel in Santorini for a week, and honestly, I would return in a heartbeat—possibly with stronger calves.
The location? Perfect. Perched right above the caldera, the views are jaw-dropping. Every single sunset looked like it was curated by the gods (and I say that as someone who works in curation!). We had a room-cave (yes, a cave!), which was unexpectedly luxurious, cool in every sense, and came with a kitchen—ideal for light meals or just pretending you're a local.
The rooftop bar was a dream—great cocktails, panoramic views, and that golden Santorini light everyone raves about. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always happy to offer tips or just have a quick chat.
There is a small swimming pool—perfect for kids or for grown-ups wanting a gentle float while pretending they're in a postcard. A heads-up though: there are many, many stairs. If you want a place where you can skip the gym and still feel like you've accomplished something physical each day, this is it. I got fit just walking back to the room!
In terms of location, views, cleanliness, and sheer friendliness, Heliotopos really delivered. Highly recommend.
