I experienced such great customer service during my stay here. My flight got delayed and I landed at 12am, and the kind gentleman stayed to check me in until 1am when I arrived. The room was better than I imagined, the AC and shower great, along with the view. All of the staff we encountered was very kind! You get a great stay for a great price.

We visited the beautiful island of Santorini after a whirlwind 5 days in the very chaotic Athens. We loved Athens but Santorini offered us a wonderful glimpse into the genuine Greece. A much slower, serene, spectacular place that needs to be explored. The Heliotopas hotel which sits at the midpoint of the island, offers old world charm, breathtaking views, several top rated local restaurants and an unbeatable staff. Evelyn was our daytime manager, and Joseph filled the night responsibilities. They were wonderful people to deal with, very knowledgeable and always willing to help us in any way. The daily complementary breakfast was amazing. Set in the Wine Bar which is a natural cave it made for a truly unique environment. The Wine Bar offered a wonderful menu for both lunch and dinner and the wine tasting was fantastic. A pedestrian path outside the hotel leads to the south and the capital of Fira. This walk offers spectacular views and a few challenging elevations, it is worth every step with the reward of visiting Fira. Thank you to everyone…Steve

This was our first stop on a near 2 week trip to Greece. We arrived into Santorini at the hotel at almost 1 in the morning. The porter was there to take our bags down to our room and give us a brief overview of the room, and there was a letter from the manager Eleni welcoming us. The rooms were clean. One of the highlights for us was the daily breakfast! It was so fresh and delicious. We also had the opportunity to watch the sunset from the Wine Bar (whose food was also incredible), and even from the little porch outside our room. The views were spectacular. The staff was all incredibly helpful and I would strongly recommend this as a place to stay in Santorini. One of the other things that was nice was that it was away from the crowds of Oia and Fira, and we found that to be a big bonus!

We stayed at Heliotopos Hotel in Santorini for a week, and honestly, I would return in a heartbeat—possibly with stronger calves. The location? Perfect. Perched right above the caldera, the views are jaw-dropping. Every single sunset looked like it was curated by the gods (and I say that as someone who works in curation!). We had a room-cave (yes, a cave!), which was unexpectedly luxurious, cool in every sense, and came with a kitchen—ideal for light meals or just pretending you're a local. The rooftop bar was a dream—great cocktails, panoramic views, and that golden Santorini light everyone raves about. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always happy to offer tips or just have a quick chat. There is a small swimming pool—perfect for kids or for grown-ups wanting a gentle float while pretending they're in a postcard. A heads-up though: there are many, many stairs. If you want a place where you can skip the gym and still feel like you've accomplished something physical each day, this is it. I got fit just walking back to the room! In terms of location, views, cleanliness, and sheer friendliness, Heliotopos really delivered. Highly recommend.

The best hotel, with the best views, friendly staff who are always ready to help you and create a comfortable environment, which is necessary for relaxation, they also have the best wine bar, with delicious dishes prepared by the chef and a wide variety of wines.|This hotel is a real paradise, this is a place where I will definitely return again. Thank you Heliotopos for making our visit to Santorini unforgettable

Probably the best views on the island can be enjoyed here. Lovely cool rooms, great homemade foods in a beautifully set out cave like restaurant.

We visited the beautiful island of Santorini after 5 days in Athens, a stark contrast between the hectic streets of Athens and mountainous serenity of Santorini. Our hotel, the Heliotopas, sits midway between the capital, Fira, to the south and Oia to the north. The hotel boasts magnificent views of the Aegean Sea from a perch high up on the western coast. A beautiful pedestrian path connects with Fira allowing for a scenic walk with breathtaking views along the way. There are several excellent restaurants and markets to explore locally. The day manager, Evelyn was a gracious, helpful hostess throughout and the nighttime manager, Joseph was wonderful as we did a wine tasting with him in their Wine Bar, which is actually a cave. The amazing daily breakfast was served in this location along with lunch and dinner. A truly wonderful experience, with wonderful staff….thank you to all. Steve
