Hell Bay Hotel

We went for a delicious lunch and sat outside admiring the view and the tame birds! My Bouillabaisse was superb and everyone raved about their Moules Mariniere. I’m afraid they were too good and had all been eaten before I thought of taking a photo. Our waitress came from New Zealand and was charming and efficient. Five stars all around (even for the wonderful Lillie’s everywhere)!

Great service, food and location as beautiful as ever. Staff very welcoming and professional, providing a personal service. However, after many years of winter storms battering the place, it now looks rather tired both inside and out and could do with an interior/exterior update and some much needed maintenance ahead of next season.

This was our second trip to Hell Bay and it did not disappoint. The rooms are clean, airy and serviceable. Not particularly luxurious but they have everything you'll need and stylish. There's even a drying room for the vagaries of the Cornish weather. The staff were young, energetic, friendly and helpful. The whole vibe was relaxed but efficient. Breakfast was served within a few minutes, unlike many other places I've stayed and all the food was fresh, inventive and delicious. |We had said, that having been twice before, we wouldn't return but we're seriously reconsidering.

We spent a few days visiting Scilly and stayed at Hell Bay as part of our trip. It is luxury and comfort all the way. The artwork in the bar/restaurant is such a great feature. But just like at the New Inn on Tresco it is the staff that make you so relaxed and 'at home'. They are superb. They all seem to love their jobs and they are so good at what they do. The food was delicious throughout - quite inventive and very well prepared/presented.

What can I say about this gorgeous hotel. Everything was just right. We stayed for two nights in Dolphin, a cute and comfortable mini home. Excellent dining on both evenings sometimes with an odd soundtrack, friendly and attentive service always.|Already looking forward to a future visit.

We spent a day on Bryher fromSt Mary's & had heard of the Hell Bay Hotel so looked forward to lunch there. my burger wasn't - it was a meat bun filled with shredded beef. Rather disappointing. The whole place is v stylish & the staff are good, but perhaps not for trhe casual 'drop-in'.

Fantastic! Absolutely delicious lunch and friendly attentive Staff. They are a little understaffed, so couldn't make us a second cocktail, however they were still pushing food out quickly and clearing tables :)
