Had a lunchtime stop here at this beautifully located hotel for a well-needed drink and rest. We then left to continue walking clockwise around this beautiful island before stopping for a photo shoot overlooking Hangman's Island and the neighbouring island of Tresco. "Where's your rucksack ?" my wife asked !!! Well it was sitting an hour away alongside the table back at Hell Bay hotel and we would not have time to be able to catch the ferry back to St. Mary's !! I quickly phoned reception and they went to retrieve the bag and phoned back to say it was going to be taken by a member of their maintenance staff back to the waiting room on the quay. Fantastic customer service to say the least from this highly recommended hotel on Brhyer.

We didn't stay - just called in for lunch. And it was one of the best Mussels and frites I've ever had. The others I was with had wonderful fish and chips with the most tasty, buttery tartare sauce ever. The staff were lovely and helpful and the view just beautiful.

Beautiful location on the island of Bryher. Fairly straightforward transfers from St Mary’s and porters to meet you at Bryher and take you and luggage to the hotel. Our room matched the website description and was flawless. The restaurant is of a high standard, initially we were going to have only one meal there, but the food was exceptional and we changed plans to have another meal the following evening. The staff are largely young, efficient, competent, keen and friendly. Can wholeheartedly recommend. You will need to dig deep into your pockets, but it will be worth it.

Just lovely. From comfort of bed, spaciousness of room, cleanliness and so on. I love open shelving type storage in hotels. Filter coffee, not instant, and a choice of teas. The restaurant included a really local twist on a pasta dish based on the indigenous wild leek. Top marks to chef for that one! I could find nothing wrong as I can't blame the hotel for the rain that occurred.

Incredibly welcoming atmosphere and the food is to die for, I go for the burger personally. Great location. Staff are a delight, especially Holly/Hollie (please enlighten me which spelling) is your MVP who even was on first name terms with me and addressed me by first name too. Rooms are immaculate.

Fantastic food in a lovely location. We’ve been visiting the islands for 34 years mainly staying on St Mary’s but have now stayed at Hell Bay several times. We find it hard to imagine why anyone could find fault. The staff are friendly and efficient, the accommodation is excellent and the food is as good as we’ve eaten anywhere.

Stayed a few times over the years as we lived in st marys! It was still like a holiday even if only a mile or so from where we lived. Good staff, lovely location and we still got the 5 star treatment of boat pick-up even though we got last minute reduced rates
