Drinks are well designed, well constructed, and good & boozy. Bartenders are knowledgeable, skilled, and friendly. Atmosphere is definitely tiki. We still have a couple more tiki bars to try in Denver, but right now Hell or High Water has to rank as our favorite. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

Google
Super awesome tiki bar! The drinks are super inventive and delicious. Where else can you find 2 cocktails with Malort as an ingredient? Some shock value with the decor and menu names for some, but seems very fitting for what they are going for. If you enjoy tiki, there's no way you should skip this place.

| LOVE tiki bars. I also love weird stuff and this was a dick themed tiki bar! So kitschy and fun. The bartenders were friendly and we learned they're both from the same area in PA my friend and I are! The drinks were DELICIOUS and I love that they have a lot of traditional rum style drinks (with their twist) but also have a good selection of mocktails we enjoyed as well as non-rum drinks which are more my style. Overall just a great vibe and solid drink offering for everyone, including my sober friend! I also got Garry, the dick snail tiki mug. I do think it's wildly overpriced but have started a small collection from tiki bars and it was just so unique I couldn't pass it up. There was a pricing mishap (charged a service fee for the mug) and I didn't realize until later. They fixed everything on the back end super easily and were very accommodating. Great experience!

Google
In the downtown Denver area, check out Hell or Highwater Tiki. The location is located on the upper level of the Honor Farm Haunted Spirit House (which is also a cool spot). Hell or Highwater is a cool take on tiki with horror themed elements. The drinks are well balanced, and the service and people here make sure your visit is fun and enjoyable. There is food available, which is good and pairs well with the drinks. Definitely check this spot out. Going into the weekend and evenings, this spot can get busy, so perhaps look into reservations. Check it out, grab a seat, and enjoy! Cheers!

Google
Really killer immersive experience blending tiki and other subcultures. Be aware, this place is kinky and kinda bizarre. The drinks are top-notch though and the staff all very kind and fun and cool. Definitely will be "coming" back here again! 😜🤙🍹💖

Google
Probably the coolest bar I've been to in a long time, we had so much fun! As some have mentioned, the drinks probably were on the spendy side, but we didn't care. It's not like they were watered down, they certainly did the trick. And they tasted friggin good! The decor was fantastic, suited for this time of year, very merry and bright! The drink names, bar wear, and some... special rules (dang right I gave up a shoe for a drink! 🤣) made this place sooo much dang fun! Looking forward to getting back there.

Google
Atmosphere was inviting and the drinks were delicious as they were interesting to look at. They have a 22% gratuity added so don’t overlook that.

Google
Looking for a Jack and Coke? Maybe a vodka cranberry? Well, forget the basics—this place takes the art of mixing drinks to an entirely different level. Be warned: once you’ve tasted their craft, there’s no going back to ordinary.

Yelp
I'm such a sucker for a great tiki bar, and Hell or High Water did not disappoint! The bar is located within another bar, Honor Farm, so it's easy to miss. However, you will need to go through the bar and up the stairs in the back to get to Hell or High Water. One of my favorite things about tiki bars is the interior design and I absolutely LOVED the decorations here! Lots of di*k imagery, and very LGBTQ-friendly. My friend and I came on a Monday evening after dinner and ordered off the Happy Hour menu. He got a Saturn which was delicious! I ordered a Back From The Dead, a customizable order off their HH menu. I asked the Bartender to make me something with tequila and to surprise me. What I got was so delicious! I really enjoyed interacting with the bartenders and letting them be creative with my custom drink. If you're uncertain or indecisive about a drink, ask them for their recommendations! The vibes here are excellent and I'm looking forward to returning!

Yelp
Well decorated tiki speakeasy on the second floor of the horror bar. The bar area itself is fairly small but it really leans into the theme which was great. I ordered a drink that came in a custom Frankenstein tiki mug (apparently only 50 of these mugs exist) so they ask you to leave behind a shoe to make sure you return the mug lol. Overall amusing experience.

Yelp
Wow, what a fun place! Place a reservation ahead of time. And also note that the tiki bar is at the second level of the bar. There is limited seating so please be aware of this as you head over here. There are a lot of naughty references and this seems to be a LGBTQ+/LGBTQ+ friendly bar. The menu is so fun with all of the innuendos and the drinks are another level more. Super delicious and a fun time. For some of the drinks, you have to give your ID and a shoe to hold in order to get the drink. This is cause people would break or steal the glass apparently. The bathrooms are downstairs btw so if you are missing a shoe, note that you'll need to go downstairs in your sock.

Yelp
Soooooooo our entire group was so excited to Xmas pop up Holiday bar that was how the Grinch Stole Tiki theme. The most disappointing theme bar in all of Colorado during our trip downtown and so disheartening to our group of restaurant & bar enthusiasts. My family and friends have been so excited about the pop-up Christmas themed bars to experience this year and this was listed as a must see. Upon walking in the bar you see an archway inviting you to go to the Grinch Who stole Xmas theme part upstairs. The sign says to wait for the waiter to be seated. Someone came and took our names and said it would be about a 5-10 min wait. The person checking everyone in stated we could get drinks downstairs but we couldn't bring them upstairs to the theme room. It's the same bar! About 30 mins later finally we were seated. We scanned the QR code to see the special drinks menu. The drinks ranged from from about $17 to $45 each. There is a Mandatory 22% gratuity added to every bill no matter what. There are two bartenders making all the drinks. One is half naked with no shirt on and in dingy overalls. Didn't know this was that type of strippers male review type of establishment. There were probably about 40 plus people in the How the Grinch Stole Tiki area. We kept viewing the menu taking in all the decor. We sat at our table for over 20 mins with no service. We saw the hostess tell one table oh just go to the bar & order ya drinks. I asked him if there was a servicer or anyone else taking drink orders. He told us to just order ar the bar and stand in line if you like. My entire table looked at each other and we're appalled. We all got up and said thank you we will find another Xmas themed bar that actually has service. We are not going to the bar to order $17-$45 drinks w/ a mandatory 22% Gratuity added for ZERO service, that is out right ridiculous......So we peacefully left and found a better & great one a Union Station. Tiki was just a waste of time and absolutely not worth it. The only thing that was somewhat nice is the decorations, weird but ok....Grinch themed with Christmas themed dildos....No joke we were like WTF!!! NO SERVICE , LONG WAITS, NOT WORTH A TRY.

Yelp
Fun tiki bar with great drinks. Cute decor. Definitely worth a stop in during your pub crawl. Lots of drink options and fast service.

Yelp
We heard about the Samosa Shop pop-up in honor farm and purely by chance ended up upstairs at Hell or high water Tiki. The front door staff recommended we hop upstairs since we were early and it is normally packed. By the time we ordered and grabbed a table, we could see it was already filling up. Luckily Samosa king, which by the way is absolutely amazing, delivered our food up to our table, right as our tiki drinks were ready. We loved the attention to detail, the unique flavors, the irreverent cocktail names, and just reading through the menu was entertaining. There's not a ton of space, so I wouldn't come here with a large group, but it was perfect for 2 to 4 people per table. The lighting was dim, the decor was eccentric, the service was quick and overall we loved it here! We'll definitely be bringing friends back for another round

Yelp
No place like Hell or High Water. The decor is WILD-ly unique and the tiki cocktails are stellar. We paid a $5pp cover charge on a Friday night. Enter at Honor Farm, then head to the back right past the bar and head upstairs. You'll be met with a grunge collection that I can only relay as goth pirate with penises. I got "Spread the Dead", a PB&J clarified zombie, and would highly recommend this cocktail. No fancy glass but it's delicious and you get snacks - a PB cookie and a fruit gummy. "Rum Inside Me" is super popular and our server's first recommendation - you get it in a peeled banana (actually a banana, not a euphemism) tiki glass. If the most photographical glass is what ye are after, prepare to turn over a shoe as collateral to get the "Nonsensical Ravings of a Lunatic Mind". This place a definitely a vibe.
google avatar

Roberto B.

Yelp
Note when you enter it's the upstairs bar! Great swinging chairs to enjoy a tiki drink. Service is fast and friendly! I don't live in Denver and really wanted to take home a "there's something about Gary" tiki mug but they didn't have any to buy. Next time I hope there are some available because well... something about that tiki mug made it stand out.

Yelp
TLDR: The service really brings down this place... I would look elsewhere for your tiki fix. Cocktails: The chicken one (forgot its name): Was expecting something well balanced and over the top. It was not balanced, taste nothing of chicken and just bad. The ube one (forgot its name): Again, unbalanced and overly sweet, even for a tiki cocktail. Vibe: I think that's the one good thing I can say here is that it's a spectacle and the decorations are fun and theres a lot of good photo opportunities! What can be better:? The staff really come across like they loathe (loathe!!!) the customers... again, play at your own risk here... or just skip.

Yelp
Downtown ‍ pirate tiki bar with amazing staff and seasonal decor; a not-to-miss experience while in Denver. Hell or High Water is upstairs; make your way through the downstairs bar to find the stairs near the back to ascend to the tiki bar above, where you will find a a full tiki menu as well as a good collection of rums available by the pour. We were fortunate to visit in December, when the holiday/Grinchmas menu is also available. Stay in touch via their socials so you know what to look forward to when you visit. The drinks are well-executed, including drink-specific garnishes and glasses/mugs. And don't forget to visit the women's bathroom; it has its own decor and soundtrack.

Yelp
This was a delightful little LGBTQ tiki bar above honor farm bar in downtown Denver. They have a great happy hour menu with classic cocktails between $10-$12 from 5 pm to 7 pm and lots of variety across the board. Also, Samosa Shop is right down stairs and chef Dave will bring food up after you order, too! Huge fans.
google avatar

Robert N.

Yelp
This bar sits upstairs from another bar which can make it a bit challenging to find but worth it to seek out. There is very limited capacity so if you don't have a reservation it might take a while to get in (depending on the night) but it is the right amount of different to make the wait worth it. There was no blaring music to contend with conversation and it is super cozy. If not for the tiki theme I might think I am chilling in a friends living room. The drinks are creative and fun, albeit a bit pricy. The only downside was having to go downstairs through a much more crowded bar to use the bathroom
google avatar

Blake H.

Yelp
This is a fun place to visit with a great atmosphere. The place itself is located in Honor Farm. We had very tasty drinks. The only downfall is that the place is quite small so I'm not sure it's great for large groups. The service was great however. Great spot for a fun adventure or date night.

Yelp
One word: fanfrickingtastic! Wow! By far, one of the Top 5 Bars in Denver for me! After going to the Denver Center for Performing Arts, we wanted to go to Hell or High Water Tiki Bar. We found the address, but assumed ownership had changed. We sat down and ordered a drink, only to find out there are two bars in one location. (We're not the brightest candle on the menorah). Downstairs is the Honor Farm, which bills itself as a haunted spirit house. Let's just say the cocktail menus would throw me into Facebook jail if I had posted them there, but as this is Yelp, readers need to know. Both these bars are not for the faint-of-heart. If you're easily offended, go find a Applebee's or something. The menus and decor go hand-in-hand. We quickly finished our drinks at Honor Farm, and not because this sloppy drunk tried to sit in our booth and fell out of his chair. Pure entertainment that was. Before heading upstairs to Bar Deux, this nice gentleman came to talk to us. It turns out he's the DJ and they do drag brunches on Sundays. We have to go back for that. But I digress. We headed upstairs to Hell or High Water Tiki Bar, and immediately, I was in heaven! I'm all about tiki bars and Hawaiian shirts. This bar certainly had a naughty twist, which I'm all about, too. The backstory is this represents a haunted pirate ship, whose crew was a bunch of gay pirates. It doesn't get better than that. Oh, yes it does! The drinks! Let me tell you, you'd better eat something or you'll be as snapped up as I was going home. I don't remember half of the light rail ride. I do vaguely remember mocking people, but I do that when I'm sober. The decor, the drinks, the atmosphere, the staff are all what I'm about. I totally will be back a lot and bring a lot of my gay pirate friends! Oh, and if you are easily offended, don't bother looking at the pictures attached to this review. I will say, you need to get out more.

Yelp
Very fun place for some tiki cocktails! I love the decor, love that you can make reservations ahead of time, love the bartenders, and definitely love the cocktails! I haven't had a drink I didn't enjoy here. There are some really fun options with fire and fun drinkware. What's not to love about Hell or High Water?!
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
We were in town for a baseball game and we love tiki so had to try. We got there right at open and it quickly filled. This is inside another bar, upstairs in a loft area. They've done a great job with cute decorations and ideas. The cocktails are a little on the bitter side for tiki, not as well balanced as normal. They over due it on the fire and made us a little worried we may catch fire. It was so hot our fingers felt like they lost hair from the flames. A neighbor ordered a fire drink and after we saw the palm branches above were burning. We had to give our drivers license for a cute cup. Not sure we'd be back.

Yelp
Very cool atmosphere, friendly staff, good drinks Passion of the Christ $17 Nonsensical Ravings of a Lunatic Mind $17 The auto gratuity of 22% is lame though, let guests decide how their experience was and tip based on that, don't predetermine it.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely love the theming here and the looks of the little bar up stairs. drinks are fun, unique and most importantly strong. Staff are super friendly and helpful. def coming back again some times.

Yelp
This bar is located in the Honor Farm bar. It is located in the back corner, up the stairs. It is a small spot and is a tiki bar loosely. It is dimly lit and has colorful Christmas lights all around the bar. The bar has a small dining area and a couple of swings, yes swings, to sit on. They have some interesting decor that I suggest you check out closely. They have some savory drinks on their menu, many of which are named after a male genitalia. I found it hard to ask for some of them by name, but the bartender knew what I was talking about. It was as if the drinks were named by a 14 year old boy and his buds. The bar staff were friendly, but one thing I did not like is that they charged a 22% tip without letting me know. I almost tipped another 20%, being that the place was very dimly lit. If it was not for my light on my phone, I may have paid a lot extra. You can use a QR code that is on your table to order food. As I mentioned, they have a wide range of savory tropical drinks. They also have some beers. You place your order with the bartender at the bar and then they bring it to you at your table. Some of the drinks that I ordered that I can mention include the Yaba Daba Doo Me, and the Passion of the Christ. They were very delicious and I really enjoyed them. This is a nice little duck-off spot to get you a tropical drink in a chill environment. I highly recommend checking this spot out. It is a fun little place with some amazing drinks.

Yelp
What a great, fun and entertaining place! Great decor, fun staff and an interesting selection of funky tiki drinks. The women's Silence of the Lambs themed restroom was pretty cool and creepy at the same time. Came here with my husband and a couple of friends and would definitely go again.

Yelp
Great cocktails and a fun vibe to take pictures in. I enjoyed myself here. I went on a Wednesday around 6 and it was empty but still fun!

Yelp
Found this awesome speakeasy in the upstairs of Dead Head bar/restaurant and am so happy that I did!! The drinks come with a show, either some flame or smoke or something that is just awesome to see. Also all orders include gratuity is awesome, just sign your name and your good. But the servers and bartenders are so happy to have you there and it's for sure a spot to have a nice couple speciality cocktails. They also just started a happy hour from 5-6 M-F. The space isn't large, but very cool! Everything is "Richard" themed lol. You'll understand once you get there. Check it out!!!

Yelp
The skinny: one of the best tiki bars in Denver. Cool vibes, delicious drinks Drinks: sister restaurant to electric cure (another amazing tiki bar), Hell of High Water is equal parts fun and delicious. If you're into quality drinks with an insta-worthy presentation this is your spot. Every drink comes with a fun tiki glass and an even better name. The menu is extensive enough and split by different liquor types so every one can find something to suit themselves. Some favorite drinks are Rim Reaper Job, and Thar She Blows which is a sharable scorpion bowl in a treasure chest they set on fire. But honestly, every drink we've had there has been amazing - and we've been to our fair share of tiki bars. Vibes: some of the most eclectic unique immersive vibes in Denver. Get ready to be transported to a fun tiki gay pirate themed bar - with light up disco phallic lamps in an island setting. There is even one portion of the bar where the seating is a set of swings. One call-out: This is one of these places where the drinks take time. So be prepared for a bit of a wait - but it's worth it. The bar itself is a bit small so more ideal for smaller groups 6 or less. It's above another bar if you need to wait to get in and you can order food from downstairs that gets delivered up too. Would I come back: Yes! And I already have multiple times.

Yelp
I'd never heard of this bar before and so glad my friends introduced me! We came here after a show at Comedy Works, though the kitchen was closed by then. We walked upstairs and got seated at one of the available benches. One of my friends shared a Thar She Blows tiki cocktail bowl with me ($40) containing rum, coconut cream, guava demerara, and lime. Delicious and on fire!! Lots of cute themed spots to take pictures. Hell or High Water has quite the fabulous vibe, with a menu full of tasty drinks to fuel a wild night.
google avatar

Antonio R.

Yelp
Stopped by here for tiki drinks and we were not disappointed. It's actually two places so make sure you know where you are going. We had drinks at both because why not. The bartenders are super friendly and knowledgeable. The place is unique and inviting. Highly recommend it.
google avatar

Yelp
BEST TIKI BAR EVER!!! Hands down the coolest spot we visited in Colorado and damn near top 10 on the planet! GO OUT OF YOUR WAY to visit this place! Perfect ambiance. Incredible cocktail menu. Most excellent mixologists. And.... They will light any drink you want on fire! Proper fire. Not that flaming marshmallow $hit but a true burn your face off burning cocktail!! GO THERE! Bring everyone you know. The place is small so get there early. It's also in the upper back of another one of the coolest bars in Denver which has Malort on tap so.... And they have a Chinese food stop in-house so your munchies are taken care of! Seriously. Thanks guys. Awesome experience!

Yelp
I wanted to love this bar. I love tiki bars. And I love the vibes that this place gives off. But they have an issue with seating. We put our party of 4 on the wait list. Was told it would take an hour. We were in no hurry so we headed down stairs to try the food and drinks. Amazing! Great drinks, amazing food and overall a good time! We could have sat down there the whole night and would have been happy. I then got a call saying it was our turn! Super excited. We got upstairs and got led to our table: and this is where the issue came up. There was only 3 chairs. The gentleman at the host station told us that the table next to us took a chair and that he was going to ask them for it. We said sure no problem! So we stood there. And waited. And he did nothing. We eventually moved to our table but our friend had no chair. And the host kept blaming the other table. Said he spoke to the manager. But the issue was that he over booked the area. And then proceeded to blame the folks he sat. My friend had no seat. We ordered one drink and left. The pandan drank I ordered was amazing! But my friend had no seat. He kinda sat on my seat for a second kinda hanging off. And then just stood. Not cool. At all. We would've ordered another round but my friend had no seat. So we left. Maybe they didn't want us there. Maybe the host didn't want to take responsibility. But I've never been somewhere that I wasn't given a seat. Kinda weird. I was pointed to this bar by bartender Dave! Love him. But this experience really made us sad. Hopping this never happens to anyone else because it was so uncomfortable and strange.
google avatar

Jose R.

Yelp
I found this place on Yelp and was fooled by its hidden entrance. But once I walked in, I knew I had found a hidden gem. The service was spectacular and the drinks were even better. I would 100% recommend this far to anyone who's in the area and wants to spend an evening bar in a very unique bar.
google avatar

Jamie C.

Yelp
If you haven't been here, you're sorely missing out. Best tiki drinks in town, amazing bartenders, and hysterical decor.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
The best tiki bar in Denver! Great drinks, we tried the Passion of the Christ, Boof Scootin Boogie for our first round. My husband said the Passion of the Christ was the best tiki cocktail he's had since going to Undertow in Phoenix. Really creative ingredients. My drink came with a fire show and the best bartender. Definitely looking forward to coming back!
google avatar

Lauren Y.

Yelp
James the bartender was very nice and attentive! My party came about a hour before closing and had a great time. I ordered the Passionfruit of the Christ and it was so good. This is definitely not the place to take your boss but if your coworkers are "chill like that" then that works. Definitely a lot of phallic decorations lol.
google avatar

Christina O.

Yelp
This review is a few months overdue. We stumbled upon Hell it High Water Tiki on a random Thursday night thanks to a recommendation from a friend. They had some availability and we got to sit in the swings. It was just me and my husband and we really enjoyed the cocktails. We will definitely be back and hopefully with a few friends. The drinks were delicious. And the service was quick! It was such a unique concept and I loved all the decor. I think I spent so much time looking at everything.
google avatar

Jake F.

Yelp
Waited to be seated for quite a while, then waited to be served for quite a while. Someone came to bring us water and told us we were supposed to order at the bar. Then after we ordered the bar tender who was obviously drunk off their ass questioned whether or not we paid for what we ordered (we had the receipt in front of us). The drinks we were served were PURE alcohol. Normally I wouldn't complain about a heavy pour but the drinks were undrinkable. Decorations were cool but the VIBES are terrible.
google avatar

Debbie N.

Yelp
Awesome drinks - great in taste and presentation- esp the ones that light on fire. Vibes are great - but it is a bit small so there may be a wait to get in. also, it's upstairs of another bar and we didn't know that the first time we tried to visit Prices are reasonable for tiki drinks I think! Just beware that they included a 22% auto tip on the receipt without telling us which is fine but just so you know so you don't unknowingly tip another 20% on it
google avatar

Abby B.

Yelp
Went here for New Years and we had a blast!!!! Such a fun atmosphere! Drinks were to "die" for. Hehe. Service was wonderful. Drinks are a little pricey, but a fun place to get the night started.
google avatar

Jesse K.

Yelp
We stumbled on Hell or High Water Tiki, which has a downstairs bar called Unholy Spirits, on our way to dinner. We stayed downstairs and briefly looked around the upstairs Tiki Bar which appeared to be so much fun with amazing decor. The decor downstairs is something to be seen, too. Giving a bit of a morbid, spooky vibe, it was unique and fun to look around and discover all sorts of things while enjoying our beverages. The old fashion and margaritas we were made with extreme care and precision by Adam. You could tell he takes pride in the drinks he makes. We'll definitely be bringing some friends and out of town visitors back and look forward to sitting upstairs next time!
google avatar

Dedo K.

Yelp
This is a fantastic Tiki bar. I really enjoyed the drinks. They are very creative and delicious. The staff is fun and professional. The owner William is hilarious and I really enjoyed speaking with him. I found out we grew up in the same area, and we immediately clicked. This is a great place to take a date or a few good friends. It is also a great place to bring colleagues or have a fun after work happy hour. The erect artwork is quite interesting and amazing. I especially like the snail that is shaped like a man's genitalia. I will will be attending this tiki bar for as long as it lasts.
google avatar

Yelp
Drinks are amazing. Ambiance quirky. And memories foggy. Search this place out and get ready to be transported to a tropically phallic imbibing tiki hut.
google avatar

Stanley M.

Yelp
Not nice. Pretends you aren't there. They dont care about anyone. It's all about the money.
google avatar

Hallie M.

Yelp
I love this spot so much. Hell or High Water Tiki is hidden in the back right corner of Honor Farm, up the staircase. It's a small spot with fun decor and super skilled bartenders. There menu is hilarious and features tons of drinks, lots of rum options like a typical tiki bar, but if rum isn't your think they have tequila, gin, whiskey, pretty much whatever liquor you prefer. The last time we went both of the drinks I ordered came to our table lit on fire. We went in December and the holiday menu was so fun!
google avatar

Steven T.

Yelp
Fun place! Very nice staff. Stephanie is so friendly Highly recommended to reserve ahead of time. It's a small area in the loft. We'll themed and fun cocktails. There is bar and table seating and 2 swings Love the tiki mugs. They will hold onto your card to ensure they get those back!
google avatar

Yelp
Very fun atmosphere and delicious drinks. Service was great. It's really a place to grab one fun drink and then move along.
google avatar

Abbey L.

Yelp
Fun drinks! Definitely on the pricier side but aligns with speakeasy like prices! The Saturn was $10 on the happy hour menu and was very tasty. It was sweet yet subtle and fruity. Love the decor of this place and even paired it with tropical music. It is a small place so recommend coming early or making a reservation Agra dog time. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
This place is so awesome! The cocktails are amazing and the service is solid. The food from the place downstairs is good too. 10/10 recommendation.

Yelp
I had a little mixed feelings about this place. Overall both drinks were made great. Service was a little on the slower side for about 10 people in the place.

Yelp
Fun ambiance and drinks. Hidden and hard to find - but that adds to the fun. Tiki bar that actually fits Denver. Go!

Yelp
We went here after dinner for a few drinks. The ambiance is different skeletons and sexual innuendos, etc. not complaining about that. The waiter was friendly. Had two drinks one for me and one for my wife. They were way BITTER. Worst drinks we have ever had at this point. Then we went upstairs and had a drink. Didn't understand the Penis art and had another drink. It was worse than downstairs. We left....never to return.

Yelp
Hell or High Water Tiki lounge was an uniquely fun experience in downtown Denver. It had a speakeasy vibe above a restaurant with a table service system and keeps the place from feeling claustrophobic. You order your drinks directly from the bar and they'll bring it to your table. They have some fun elements, like a rope swing seat and also beware that there is a clear sexual under tone to all its menu items with X-rated cartoon art highlighting some of its drink options. The drinks are what you might expect from a tiki lounge. It's overly sweet, but not too much alcohol content, but be be advise that the drink can and will still hit you hard, especially at the altitude where Denver is located. If you want to order food, the maitre'd will give you a QR code where you can order directly from the restaurant below. Overall, He'll or High Water is what I would consider a fun establishment where you go with friends. If you're expecting expert quality well drinks, this is not the place for you.

Yelp
Terrible experience. Staff was so rude to me and my friends. It was kind of appalling. Couldn't help with the simplest things. Asked for what beers on tap and bartender rolled his eyes and was like, "I'm not going to list off all of our beers there are too many." No menu, no list. All around not friendly or welcoming. Won't be back.
