Why Adelaide Is Australia’s Most Exciting Food and Wine Destination

"I stopped into Hellbound, a small wine bar noted for its focus on natural wines and the kind of place where Adelaide's new wine conversation is on display." - Kevin West Kevin West Kevin West is a writer, food consultant, and “canning evangelist” (according to NPR). We love it here. It's like hanging out at your cool friend's house, drinking their great booze and eating their delicious food - that they discovered while on holiday in Sicily and now they're sharing it with you.

Fantastic spot with terrific service and great music creating the perfect atmosphere. The Negroni was expertly crafted and their R.A.D. was absolutely delicious. Attentive staff, inviting setting, and exceptional cocktails and pizzas next door. Highly recommend for date nights or drinks with friends!

I must have walked past this bar a million times on Rundle street but decided to pop in on a Sunday afternoon. Great selection of wine and exotic beers, the Spanish beer was particularly good. Cool venue, you’re literally in subterranean Adelaide - the underground that once connected across the shops above

This place has such a great vibe. Fantastic friendly service. We were able to order pizzas from Meccanica next door as well. Best of both worlds! Highly recommend.

Great wines with mix of South Australian wines, and a variety of other Australian regions and international wines. Great food options with charcuterie and bread boards. Awesome music and vibes. Lots of tables and couch areas. Great for couples or a group of friends.

A cute wine bar with 20 wines by the glass – starting at $8 – and more than 200 listed bottles that soar to $2200 a pop. Delicious dishes are made to pair with wine and there’s nothing over $16. Friendly and lovely staff! Hellbound Wine bar is at 201 Rundle St (Basement), Adelaide, South Australia 5000

So glad I found this hidden little gem on my last night in Adelaide. A lovely cosy atmosphere with friendly bar staff. The soft cheese and artichoke dish with sour dough bread was scrumptious. Wish I could go back for seconds!

What an amazing hidden gem! I'm in Adelaide in business and managed to get some time to catch up with my niece! She took me to 'Hellbound Wine Bar' it was fantastic, the staff welcomed us with huge friendly smiles and were very attentive! They have a great wine list & the cocktails looked good too! I'll definitely be back! Sorry, it was a little dark to get photos
