Impressive !!
The Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre in Kanchanaburi is an incredibly impressive site. Funded and maintained by the Australian government, it’s impeccably well-kept – clean, organised, and respectful in every detail.
The exhibits and audio guide tells you the harrowing story of the Death Railway.
Walking the memorial trail down to the actual Hellfire Pass cutting is the highlight: sombre, reflective, quiet and humbling, a reminder of the horrors of war
A must-visit if you’re in Kanchanaburi. Allow plenty of time, wear good shoes, and bring water. Highly recommended for anyone interested in WWII history.
