From the moment I walked in I felt incredibly at ease and welcomed by the lovely hosts. As a solo traveller I stayed in room Lotje - double bunk and private bathroom. Incredibly comfortable and clean! Would definitely recommend to other solo travellers looking for a cozy home away from home experience. Thank you team, you're amazing!! 🫶🏼

I had a wonderful stay at Hello, I'm local in Haarlem! The common areas were beautiful and comfortable, and the room was a perfect place to unwind at night. the location was walkable and quiet without leaving me feeling like I'm disconnected from the city. The hosts were also absolutely lovely, I really hope to return soon!

Absolutely 💯 great experience, rooms clean the place it big and relaxing environment. The check is person is amazing remembers everyone name with so many people coming and going its amazing, you dont feel crowed. Best hostel in 30 countries in have stayed in.

Very friendly hosts, who really try to make you feel at home and help with any extra wishes. Great central location, fun room with a swing! Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs as other groups may be a little noisy chatting or playing games in the lounge, which was next to our room. Also, the creaky ladder in our room and the bright light that automatically switches on in the toilet mean you may wake up every time a roommate needs to go to the toilet. Breakfast was just right for us.

I had a really awesome stay here. I came to Haarlem by chance as I couldn’t drive into Amsterdam due to the emission zone. The staff were very kind to me - they shared some places to see in town and the hostel is located in a really good place to explore from. I did laundry for 10€ a bag, it’s a pretty generously sized bag, I highly recommend it if you need it. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are fresh. The only caution I would give someone is to try to get a bottom bunk. The top bunks get a bit too warm with everyone’s breath at night.

Perfect spot to stay in Haarlem. Very cosy and sympathetic place and people. Location right in center. Public parking around (quite expensive though but that is the city pricing).

Christine was awesome! So helpful and kind, and had answers to all our questions. The facility was clean, convenient with an in-house cafe, and comfortable public spaces. There was a shower and sink in the room and the toilet was right across the hall.

This place genuinely gave us bedbugs back in august 2021. We woke up after spending our first night there and discovered little dots of what appeared to be blood on all of our beds. At the time we did not know that having red blood spots on the bed meant there were active bedbugs in the mattress, so we just quickly informed the hotel staff who just gave us new sheets instead of telling us that those little stains are a huge indicator of bedbugs in the room. We all ended up going home not knowing that we also brought bedbugs with us in our suitcases, which led to all of us dealing with bedbugs in our homes which as one can imagine was horrible. Not to mention all of us were also covered head to toe in bedbug bites. Still traumatic to this day. Just had to get that off my chest.
