Stumbled upon an awesome breakfast spot that really hit the mark. I never imagined pesto could work so well with eggs until I tried their tasty green eggs and ham. The signature spuds were packed with flavor and surprisingly, I managed to wipe the plate clean despite the generous portion. The eggs Benedict were also solid, with perfectly runny eggs and a hollandaise sauce that was rich without being too heavy. The French toast stood out too, with just the right balance of sweetness. Service was great and it was a fantastic way to kick off the day.

Google
Brunch is always tough for me because I don’t eat pork and it is always the main attraction on breakfast/brunch menus but Hello Toast had several options that caught my eye. I ordered the beef brisket eggs Benny and it was absolutely delicious! The brisket was so tender and had some crispy edges with such a good flavour. The potatoes were so well seasoned and so tasty. It was so great that I wanted to eat there the very next day! Service was quick and attentive, I highly recommend dining here!

Google
First time at this establishment, and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were engaged, and the breakfasts were delicious. We had the Cayenne in the Rain, Fast Eddie, and Bacon Benny. Good portions, and most importantly, it was all fresh.

Went here for the first time. Their sign says to wait outside to be seated. But we waited behind a person and they never came out even though we could see empty tables. So finally walked in. We were seated immediately. So not sure what was going on there. Might have thought we were with the other lady who was waiting for others in her group. We had the Back Bacon Benny which was delicious. Good size portion and the focaccia bread was fresh and crazy good. The signature spuds were excellent, fried, and had a kick to them which elevated them. We had the goodness gracious French toast. OMG WOW! Talk about gotta eat here! Cinnamon toast with sliced Bananas and a cream cheese spread between the pieces of French toast then a toasted granola topping spread across the top and honey butter smear on the plate for dipping and a side of whip cream. Talk about decadent and mouth watering flavor. Dear God let me be able to replicate this at home because I can not say enough how good it was. YOU GOTTA EAT HERE!

Google
The best place for breakfast or brunch! Everything tasted good with one little remark on the potatoes which were a bit too salty for our taste🙂 The cinnamon pancakes are incredible and a must try.

Google
What an amazing gem! This place serves impeccable food with twists you can't imagine how they came up with that are so delectably pairing. There are so many great features like eggs Benny on focaccia! Hash browns with a taste of stuffing! This 0lace is amazing. You'll probably have to wait, but it will absolutely be worth it! If at first your worry is the seating and atmosphere, get over it! That's the charm and what makes it it's own one of a kind.

If you’re ever in #Kamloops and craving a cozy spot to grab a delicious bite, Hello Toast should be at the top of your list. This charming cafe really knows how to elevate the humble toast into something special, offering a menu full of creative and hearty combinations.

Google
It felt so homey! The place was busy even on a weekday. The food was spiced perfectly. It was so delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. Paid parking on the street. I will definitely come back.

Yelp
We stopped in at Hello Toast on our way up to Sun Peaks. It was FANTASTIC! Great menu, excellent service. I had the Farmer's Skillet - with hash browns (nice crispiness), sausage (chopped up nicely so it was well integrated), Veggies (spinach, peppers), eggs (over medium), cheese and hollandaise! With yummy sourdough toast. Perfectly buttered. (One of my biggest pet peeves at breakfast places is toast that comes lukewarm with just a wad of butter in the middle that soaks in and when you get it, you can't spread it around. This was NOT the case here!) Super attention to detail on all items we had. Loved it. Wish I lived closer to Hello Toast so I could make it a regular spot. Also, decor was fun... Loved this place...top to bottom. So yum! Try it, you'll like it!

Yelp
This IS the place to have a great and different breakfast while in Kamloops. A very friendly family business where all the staff members are eager to serve you and make sure you leave full and happy. I had the Seasonal Stuffed French Toast -- 2 slices of egg dipped sourdough, wildberry compote, sliced fruit, and cream cheese. Topped with granola, honey butter, and a side of whipped cream. DELICIOUS. My wife had the healthier Oven Baked Hot Cereal -- hearty brown rice, rolled oats, flax seed, raisins, cinnamon, and molasses. Served with cold or steamed milk. She was satisfied, too. Americano coffee was perfect for we two Americans. The place was packed at 8:30 Friday but the wait was worth it. Breakfast was so good, we returned for lunch.

Yelp
I had an amazing breakfast here at Hello Toast. The eggs benny was so good I definitely recommend checking this place out. The service was so friendly and fast too. Can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
The reviews for this place were really good so we had to try it out. When we got there, they were pretty busy, but there was no line yet. By the time we left, there was a long line. And rightfully so. Their breakfast was really good! I can probably say one of the best eggs Benedict I've ever had! Everything on that dish was so good. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the aged cheddar had a good crisp to it, the bread was toasted to give it a good crunchy texture, and the beef brisket gave it the perfect amount of savory. My daughter got the shortcake French toast with woodberry compote, butter, and cream cheese. Because of the tartness from the berry compote the whip cream and syrup did not taste overly sweet. It was a good combination of tangy and sweet, but not overbearing. Very soft and fluffy and tasted perfect. My son got the big bad clubhouse with chicken, ham, and bacon, on a cranberry toast bread. It also tasted pretty good and surprisingly the dill flavored beef stew was different but pretty tasty, that is only if you like dill. The signature spuds was kind of like their version of hash. It had a very distinct flavor to it. Not sure what herb or seasoning they put in it, but it was very different. They definitely cooked it crispy and dark. Some parts were a little too burnt for me and a bit dry. But the potatoes were different enough that it kind of grows on you and I wouldn't mind having it again. We didn't have to wait too long and they tried to seat us pretty quickly. The staff was very friendly and quick. The restaurant itself was a local brunch place, very inviting and not so commercialized. Only complaint is They only had one bathroom stall so I waited, but was never able to use the restroom. Over all an excellent brunch find!! Would absolutely come back!

Yelp
THE BEST BREAKFAST WITHIN 300KM. Hello Toast has created a menu that supercedes ALL expectations. I haven't been this pleasantly surprised since my ex wife slipped on ice.
google avatar

Shannon Y.

Yelp
Food is sensational here along with the service. I don't think there was one thing a table of 6 wasn't happy with. Place gets busy so expect a wait if you arrive at peak eating times. I'd go back in a heart beat!
google avatar

Yelp
A good spot for your standard brunch fare and more if you're feeling extra famished. The menu is huge and sometimes overwhelming but I appreciate the choices. The eggs benny are excellent paired with the home fries. I also love their sandwiches, especially the burger. I usually pair my meal with a London fog or a coffee. Service is quick and pleasant. Parking is sometimes tricky if you come during busy periods but that just means a bit of walking. There's parking on the street out front or around the various lots nearby. In the summer there's a patio out front so you can get some sun while enjoying your meal.

Yelp
Highly recommend. Enjoyed breakfast in this quaint restaurant. The server was super friendly and prompt. We both ordered bennies and our meals arrived very fast and were hot and delicious. We both enjoyed their signature potatoes. We left full and happy. Definitely would return when we are in Kamloops again. $55 for two of us -- one had coffee.

Yelp
There was a short wait before we were seated. Waters were dropped off quickly by staff. After looking over the menu, we decided on a few items to share. We ordered the Canadian back bacon benny, the big bad clubhouse with butternut squash and apple soup, an orange juice and a side of toast, scrambled eggs and farmer's sausage. It was a bit of a wait before the food arrived. Once the food arrived, it was a satisfying brunch. The benny had a generous amount of hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were nicely seasoned. The big bad clubhouse was a tasty sandwich with chicken, bacon, ham, cheese, lettuce and tomato. The soup was a tad too sweet for my liking due to the apples. I would have preferred a basic butternut squash soup. Service was as good as a busy restaurant could be. Our server went to a table who were seated after us to take their order before stopping by our table. That was a bit disappointing because I expected first come first serve kind of service. I am not sure if she just was not paying attention. However, the food did make up for the wait. The prices of the food were reasonable when looking at quality and portion size. This restaurant is a good brunch option if you are in the area.

Yelp
Delicious Classic Eggs Bennie on Focaccia! Hashbrowns were great as well. Very quick and polite servi

Yelp
Super nice service. Yummy Buddha Bowls with the sweet potatoes and avocado. Companions liked their egg Benedict's. Definitely think you will like Hello Toast.

Yelp
Loved this place. Fantastic menu and great service! Would definitely come back next time we are in town!

Yelp
Wow, this might be one of the best eggs benedict dishes I've ever had! I got to Hello Toast right when it opened at 7:30 on a Wednesday morning, and it filled up so quickly. This place is popular, so make sure to come at a good time! The service is friendly, and I love that there are pictures of family members on the walls, although I'm sure I'd be embarrassed seeing pictures of pre-teen me on the wall at my relatives' restaurant. The roast beef benny was incredible! Generous with thinly sliced juicy pieces of roast beef piled on top of focaccia bread, topped with two soft poached eggs and delicious hollandaise sauce. AND I can't forget to mention the red onion marmalade that also went with it! It provided a slightly sweet and tangy balance to the meaty roast beef and cheddar. $18 for this with a side of signature spuds was a bit of a hit to my wallet, but well worth it! See you when I'm back in Kamloops!

Yelp
Solid breakfast option. Not sure I would wait in a long line up to eat here, but it was good. Pesto "green eggs and ham" omelette hit the spot. The young ladies who make up the staff struggle a bit with the crowds. The outside tables are perched on a sometimes uneven sidewalk. Side of strawberries is a generous portion. Side of avocado is not. Tomato and cucumber side salad is a highlight. Bathrooms are just fine.

Yelp
I like this place. It is cute and nice. The place is great for brunch. Kind of on the pricey side. The ambience is good and the staff are friendly. I love their eggs benny and I got a half order. Good portion, nice flavors. I will be back to try other items on the menu. I do recommend coming at a time where it isnt packed.

Paul W.

Yelp
Hello Toast is a cheerful breakfast spot with generous portions and friendly service. Just about a block down the road from the Coast Hotel, we enjoyed breakfast so much that we returned for a second visit later in our trip. Looking around the room, the benny was an obvious customer favorite. Not only were there different options, but if came in three sizes! I also enjoyed the daily special. During our visit, it was a tasty bacon skillet.

Yelp
Yummy delicious. I've ate here twice & everything was spot on. From the omelette to the hashbrowns to the sour dough toast. Wish I was in Kamloops right now
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
Very good food, but definitely not worth the wait.... also no shade on them but last time i was there they didn't serve mimosas The service is usually quite pleasant, however if it's busy again the wait tends to be quite long. Do love me the green eggs and ham though!
google avatar

Romus L.

Yelp
From the start taking down information for potential contact tracing, sanitizing of our patio seating and masking by the employees was great to see. The meal itself was a perfect spot for lunch. The clubhouse was an excellent take on a classic dish with nicely browned cranberry bread and a perfect balance of savoury pulled chicken, smoked ham, bacon, L&T, and a tasty aioli. The side salad with the dill sauce was very refreshing and the spuds were some of the best I've had so well caramelized and seasoned. The borscht soup was a great size for lunch with a hint of ginger so not your typical borscht! The Hot & Hungry was a very creamy wrap and with avocado a great alternative protein for those not in the mood for meat. I would definitely recommend making a stop here!

Yelp
Amazing!!! Best Eggs Benny ever. Best French Toast ever!! Everything was so so delicious. I will definitely be back. The service was also top notch, very friendly, very polite, and very helpful.

Colleen B.

Yelp
Larger portions. I had the veggie sandwich and it was loaded. My husband had the Rueben sandwich with soup and happy with the portions. Great service, our server was kind, had a sense of humour and was patient. Hello Toast sources local food and businesses where possible. Had good music. I highly recommend this Breakfast / Brunch restaurant. They close at 2:00pm.
google avatar

Nasime S.

Yelp
I now understand why this place has such a long wait! I ordered the Cayenne in the Rain and it was delicious. The perfect blend of spices and sauce, not to mention the delicious diced hash browns buried in the dish. My only complaint would be the patio furniture. It took away from the experience, as the food was extremely delicious, but not what you expect from somewhere with basic plastic patio furniture. The outside aesthetic can be improved, and I believe could add some great value to this already wonderful business. Moral of the story, don't judge a book by its cover! A must eat place in Kamloops, as all the dishes looked delicious.

Yelp
Had their 3-egg omelet with chorizo, mushrooms and cheddar and a side of Beef Barley. It was so flavorful! Not salty- just right. The eggs were fluffy and perfectly cooked. Friend had the triple hot Italiano- which I love that our server asked how we wanted the poached eggs cooked! It came on a focaccia. Also tried the "the everything" scramble with chorizo. Again eggs perfectly cooked. But the potatoes! Omg the potatoes!!!! Crispy bits but not burnt, well seasoned. 100% recommend!!

Yelp
Hello toast! This homey diner is located in the heart of downtown kamloops. The food is straight up amazing! I got the birds nest, which was an open faced breakfast sandwich with eggs topped off with a bed of spinach, cheddar and bacon bits. It came with a side of perfectly crispy potatoes as well. The service was super friendly and attentive. We liked that the diner was eclectic with various family photos and artwork. Next time I'm in kamloops I will check out hello toast to get my breakfast fix!

Yelp
Only open breakfast and lunch hours, and much loved by Kamloopsians, this hoppin' little joint has excellent food, fresh, seasonal, tasty and made with love and served with friendliness. Delicious rotating soups and outstanding bennies. Ambience is artsy yet unfussy.
google avatar

Celeste C.

Yelp
We didn't get to eat here because there was a long wait for tables at 1 PM on a Wednesday. Either that means the food is good or table turn over is too slow, we couldn't stay to find out.
google avatar

Ange V.

Yelp
Brunch may be my favourite meal - and I tend to be a tough critic. Hello Toast in Kamloops is basically a perfect breakfast/brunch spot. If a breakfast place is any good at all - there is usually a wait. We arrived around 10:30 am and waited about 30 mins. Coffee was good, service was prompt and cheerful. The breakfast bowls were excellent. Perfect spice, sauce, home fries and eggs. Would definitely come back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Unpleasant experience due to racial discrimination. Initially i liked this place despite the high prices of their basic dishes. (Denny's is all around much better for the variety and price). I've even taken my friends there for brunch a few times mostly because of the location. One day my friend was waiting for my arrival in the restaurant. As soon as i had arrived and sat down on my table the server asked me to show my vaccine passport. Prior to that I had not been asked for it at this place but I gladly provided it for her. Soon after I realized I was the only one asked and that I was the only person with asian descent among the customers. They never asked my friend or any other people that came in to eat but somehow I was a threat. I found it extremely discriminating and could not enjoy my experience any longer. Will not be supporting the business.
google avatar

Blake H.

Yelp
I gotta say when my wife and I came here for breakfast on our honeymoon I did not expect to have a wait for an hour and a half before we got seated. Wait aside, the menu was pretty creative and when the food did come out it was just really great. It can be a bit cramped so don't expect any elbow room.
google avatar

Tara Y.

Yelp
My pancakes were delicious! The crunch of the pecans with the banana and the divine sauce... Yumm! Great service too!
google avatar

Jennie Y.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch over the long weekend and there was about a 10 min wait. I had the clubhouse sandwich with a side of salad, potatoes and soup (as you can tell - I like options/variety). My boyfriend had the reuben sandwich with a side of potatoes. The sandwiches were quite heavy/buttery but incredibly tasty and flavourful. These were not health-conscious sandwiches. Both sandwiches were really filling and I ended up having to take half of mine to go. The side of potatoes were some of the best I've ever had, I loved the roasted bits of garlic. Service was friendly but a tad slow. It took some time for us to get our food but it was worth the wait.

Laura D.

Yelp
Always delicious, fast and friendly environment. You may have to wait a bit to be seated as there is always a line up it seems, but it is well worth the wait.
google avatar

Robyn H.

Yelp
Darling brunch place with ample inside and outside sitting. The whole menu was desirable - made it too hard to make a choice . Great Benny and sandwich. Huge portions and fresh ingredients. Spuds were so crispy and flavourful. Friendly, albeit slightly slow service.

Daisy R.

Yelp
Great eggs Benedict! Friendly staff. Always seems to be busy. Parking can be an issue. But is one of the best places in town for a great breakfast.

Yelp
Review from Tripadvisor ----------------------------------------------------------------- A big yes to having breakfast here! Sometimes you just got to trust internet reviews. As much as I enjoy writing about my experiences, I have to be truthful in that I'm not much of a reader of other people's reviews as each of us can have such a different experience that no 5/5 review can even predict. During the weekend I was in Kamloops, this was the only place with over 100 reviews so for a city girl, those numbers were a big game changer on coming here. We came relatively early on Saturday around 1030 and we happened to grab the last 6 person table. On Sunday though, we arrived around 12 and had to wait half an hour for a table due to our party size. It was a hit or miss with our party size though as on Sunday, we got squished into a 4 person table due to limited seating but the table behind us had at least 8 people squeezed into their own. Since we were mainly here for brunch, we only ordered brunch food but they do offer a wide selection of lunch items as well so be sure to flip your menu over to find those items. I'm a fan of food variety and trying everything on a menu until I find the thing I like but on both days I got the Bird's Nest because I loved the combination of basted eggs, bacon, spinach and cheese but above all, the potatoes are so amazing. Most of the breakfast items are served with potatoes so you won't be missing out. On Sunday though, most of the people in the group were interested in the daily breakfast special which was the Montreal Smoked Meat Eggs Benedict. According to our eggs benny lovers, the eggs and the overall taste of the daily special was better than the eggs benny on their regular menu that they tried on Saturday so be sure to check out the bulletin on the daily specials. If you don't know what to choose from and want to choose a safe option, you can always go with the DIY omlette where you'll get to pick your own ingredients; don't worry this one still comes with the potatoes so you'll still get a chance to taste those. If you're a "washing your hands before a meal" as I am, be sure to beeline for the bathroom when it's empty as they've only got one washroom for each gender. Really loved the food here and the ladies running this store are very efficient with what they're doing. Food might take a while to come out as they serve the whole table at the same time but trust me, if a person who doesn't really like brunch and eggs is telling you it's good, it's going to be worth it!

Yelp
Very creative menu. Great taste and helpful staff. Still open to dine in and have take out too. Thank You Ladies

Yelp
Lots of choices, very good cooking, excellent quick and attentive service. Kids were really happy with their french toast, we enjoyed a traditional and the very generously stuffed strawberry shortcake. Everything fresh and tasty.

Yelp
When we visited this restaurant ,there was a long lineup waiting! It was certainly worth the lineup! We ordered their 3 eggs omelette and Hello Special with the poached soft eggs. The portion is very good, the price is good for its portion. The Hello Special came with a healthy salad which balances out the nutrition level of the dish. The 3 eggs omelette was very delicious as well! Adding the ketchup with Tabasco sauce was recommended! Our friends ordered the Eggs Benny. They both enjoyed it as well! All four of us loved their hash browns! They were done perfectly! The right texture and the spices certainly delighted us! I couldn't have enough of it! The most important part is that the servers were very energetic even with the long lineups. They were patient and very open minded to adjustment. We got a warm smile from all of the staffs who worked there! They were also very attentive as they were checking on us at the right time. This was a great surprise that we found on our short trip! We will definitely come back to Hello Toast again on our next trip to the beautiful Kamloops!!!

Yelp
Superb breakfast! We got there four minutes after opening and the room was almost full, which is not just a sign of having a high population of early risers: the food here justifies the wait. Two of us had Cayenne in the Rain, which should only be ordered by spice fans, but it was superb. The spicy tomatoes sauce over the potato hash mix gave it the perfect acidic tang. Our companion had the Canadian Bacon Benny on gluten free bread and loved it. Good thing he isn't a celiac, though, as there is flour in the béchamel sauce. The decaf coffee wasn't as delicious as the rest (tasted like chemical decaf I stood rather than Swiss water) but any small woes were fixed by the outstanding service. Worth the wait!!

Yelp
Always an amazing, filling meal here. We love it. They've handled all the pandemic stuff well. Do you like Eggs Benedict? You'll love it here. Enjoy.

Adam P.

Yelp
This is a gem in the downtown core of Kamloops. Definitely checks all the boxes. Great customer service, amazing food and great prices. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

Helen K.

Yelp
Grew up in kamloops but moved to van. Come back to visit kamloops often but never got the chance to check this place out until today! An Irish friend from van had talked about how her best brunch experience in Canada was in kamloops at hello toast, I can see why I had their specialty dish, forgot the name... it's a little spicy and has dill in it. It was really good! Very filling When my friends and I got there around 10:30 there was no line and a few open tables. No wait! Really good food. My other three friends enjoyed their meals as well
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
This restaurant was fantastic for breakfast! I had the special stuffed french toast suggested by the server and my husband had the eggs benny with roast beef. Both were fantastic! The chai tea latte was also excellent. Will definitely be back when in town. Service was excellent and friendly!
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
Hello Toast has the best pan fries/hash browns I've ever tasted. I had the special which was a dill burrito that was delicious. The whole meal (and service) was awesome. It's clearly the best place to grab lunch or breakfast in all of Kamloops. The menu offers all kinds options and the portions are substantial. It's worth the money. Waiting outside? Not great. And it was basically not even cold and it suck waiting outside. I can't imagine what it's like in the cold winder months. ‍build a wall to block the wind? A tent? An old school bus shelter? A phone call? I don't know. But freezing your ass off is worth it the Hello Toast Experience. ~J

Yelp
Great atmosphere for breakfast...food was great! We had the waffles and the traditional breakfast was not a huge portion which we liked as well.

Yelp
It was a alright just nothing to write home about. Not as good as Mittz across the street.

Yelp
Our favourite breakfast place. Foods are locally sourced, and made fresh from scratch. Top notch food, and can recommend anything on the menu.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing breakfast spot. Food was amazing and arrived in good timing! In addition, the ambience in Hello Toast is so pleasant. Would recommend!

Yelp
We've gone through Kamloops many times over the years and are constantly delighted with Hello Toast. This time through we had Green Eggs and ham and Strawberry Shortcake French toast. Marvelous food.
