Went for the third time for Safari Series bike races. Afterwards, we took a trip to the gorges. The park has nice gravel roads, you can enjoy the game on your bike. I loved it.

Can be skipped if you have visited Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru as there is nothing much to see other than that. Bicycle ride is optional and it is about 16 kms up and down to the hot springs parking area. Further walk is required to reach the canyon and hot springs.

The only park where you get to walk on foot. This makes you enjoy the wild animal's view even more. It is a great place for people who also love geography. And there is a background view of mount longonot from here.

Hell's Gate National Park in Kenya is a breathtaking destination known for its dramatic landscapes, towering cliffs, and geothermal activity. Unlike other parks, visitors can explore on foot or by bike, getting up close to zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes. The park's striking rock formations, like Fischer’s Tower and Hell’s Gate Gorge, inspired Disney’s *The Lion King*. Adventure seekers can hike through scenic trails or relax in natural hot springs. With its unique mix of wildlife, geology, and outdoor activities, Hell’s Gate offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike. A must-visit gem in Kenya’s Rift Valley!

Wish we spent an extra day here instead of Nakuru - mountain biking through the ridges next to giraffes etc. was a highlight of our trip to Kenya and the hiking through gorges was very unique. Guides will take you back on motorbike if you don't fancy cycling the return trip and the bikes were good even for older kids ~ 10 years. Highly recommended 👍

Beautiful park with Buffalo and zebras mainly. Safe to go for a walking safari. Beautiful scenery of the rift valley and mountains. The thermal hot springs were abundant and puffs of white hot steam merged with the clouds. There were also some nice private places for a Picnic. The roads were perfect for cyclists too and rock climbing available as an activity for the adventurous .. What I found a let down was that to enter the park one could not use cash. You had to have an e citizen governmental app on your phone. It caused a bit of difficulty and time wasting. The cost was 37/40 euro per person. Also, the pass was for 24 hours only and if you left the park, they would not let you re-enter within the 24 hours. That disappointed me as we arrived in the afternoon and would have liked to come back the following morning. .. Also, if you wanted to swim in the geothermal spring Spa pool, there was an extra 12 eurocharge per person . The parks are not cheap. ... but the gorge walk inside Hells gate was great fun and not to be missed. You can pick up a local Masai guide there quite easily. ...

It has nothing to do with hell, but rather with idyll. I would advise to rent a bike with a guide (yes, bikes are not in the best shape, but they work:) and cycle until the famous gorge which inspired the Lion King movie. You will see different animals along the way- buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, poumbas, monkeys and will enjoy magnificent scenery, listen to local legends. Unfogettable experience. I would just advise to start your cycling trip earlier as to avoid scorching heat later on.
