Hellweger's Pizzeria & Restaurant

We just loved this place- so much that we returned a second night during our three-night stay in Merano. The people here really know what they are doing- arrivals are greeted quickly, the courtyard ambiance is both cozy and airy, service is professional and kind, the food arrives promptly and was nicely presented and flavorful. Tables are efficiently cleared and new guests welcomed. Highly recommend - try to get reservations by emailing. Update: returned two years later and found this much as before- same people, elegant courtyard, prettily- composed food. A stylish modern restaurant, well-run.

Really nice restaurant hidden in a little side street. We had pizza and salad and both were great.

Good food, good service, prices are fine but nothing remarkable. My pizza should've stayed in the oven for a bit longer. Generally it's a safe dinner option.

Very cosy restaurant with little inner courtyard and water wall. Very friendly and attentive staff. The pizza was delicious. It was also possible to share a pizza.

Food quality was okay but nothing special. Convenient for a quick lunch.

No slow food. Espresso was good, Bread and oil were good, homemade pasta was okay. A little too oily, which washed away some flavor.

Excellent place for food, esp. pizza. Wine and champagne were good as well, and staff really friendly.
