He was great—I just wanted to try a little bit, but the wines were sooo good, I couldn't stop drinking! Every bite was amazing. Visiting here was the best decision. If you're looking for the best wine, you should definitely come here.

Popped in for a quick tasting. The staff were warm and friendly, knowledgeable, generous and fun. Quaint little tasting room with plenty of history in a beautiful setting. Really enjoyed stopping by and picked up a couple of bottles of Riesling for later. Enjoy

Ken was such a delight and made our visit to the district very memorable, sharing lots of special stories and experiences about his past and how Helm Wines came to be. Each wine has a unique background and accompanying taste and we loved every one of them. It was hard to pick our favourites as they were all delicious! Definitely a must on your visit to the region. Thank you for having us!

With over 50 years of dedication to winemaking, Ken is a fifth-generation descendant of German vinedressers— welcomes guests into the Toual Schoolhouse for an intimate and informative tasting. His warmth and knowledge make every visit special. Renowned for its Riesling, Helm Wines is a destination worth exploring, where tradition and quality come together in every glass.

If you are a fan of VERY good wine and listening to a very experienced and knowledgeable wine maker, go to Helm. Ken gave us some incredible Riesling and Cabs and our group could have stayed there for hours listening to his stories. This is the kind of wine maker I love to meet. Each bottle was standout! Looking forward to coming back soon.

I went there for wine tasting with a group of 12 for wine tasting. Ken Helm conducted the tasting of 7 wines (4 X Reisling & 3x Cabernet Sauvignon) these are all the wines Helm currently had in stock. They only produce these 2 wine varieties. Ken provided details of the tasted wines including where the grapes came from in the small vineyard. He also provided details of the history of wine in the Canberra region, him being one of the pioneers. He was very informative and interesting. The wines were also very good. My favourites were 1921 Classic Cab Sab & the Classic Half Dry Reisling. This was the best tasting as far as information and enjoyment of our day visiting 6 wineries.

Had a lovely Sunday afternoon tasting wines. One of the best cellar door experiences. Her knowledge of the riesling wine was excellent. Seeing the old school house where the cellar door was and the photos of the winery gave as sence of the history.Would definitely recommend to friends and anyone visiting Canberra region. We had good conversation and wine so smiles all round- the wines are incredible and you'll be well looked after. Can't wait to visit again in the future!
