Helsingborg Hostel Center

The hostel gives shady vibes. The entry stairwell is dirty as hell, stinks of smoke. Elevator is sticky with vomit. Reception level has a kitchen which looks and feels dirty, but has everything necessary for cooking. My room was on the 3d floor. The corridor looked clean, but smelled awful. The bathrooms were pretty clean too, no complains. The room was pretty good: large, has a sink and a fridge, comfortable bed. No noise, no smell.

For all the girls, even the hostelroom is beautiful, we didn't feel safe, because we have only seen old men, which seemed to stay longer than just for traveling. Some of them looked like they have social problems.

I found body hair in my bed, the pillow had makeup on it. The door was broken, chairs were stained. The room was genuinely filthy. The public showers were dirty as well were the toilets. I would not recommend booking here if you want a good night sleep. I felt really unsafe here as well. If you have other options please book elsewhere.

Better than I expected! Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Each room has a fridge and a sink. Clean toilets but some of the showers need an upgrade. Plenty of common areas and a big kitchen. I didn't meet any staff since they email you codes to get in and pick up your key. Three supermarkets and some restaurants close by. It's a 10 min walk to the train station and town center.

This hostel was located not too far from the train station. I had some instructions on how to access the keys and the codes for doors. The instructions were easy to follow. The bed was really comfortable. The room had a table and a chair, which was ideal for working on. There was also a small fridge which was perfect! I went to bed late, and found that there wasn’t any bedding on the duvet, however it was too late and I was too tired to do anything about it. There were plenty of bathrooms to use. The kitchen was busy, but there was enough space for everyone. There was also plenty of seating. The staff were really friendly, and gave me a map and told me where to go. However, they could only store luggage for a few hours which was a slight inconvenience. Maybe they could get a room for luggage in future?

amazing place, very good price by swedish standard (with one-person bedrooms instead of a bed in a dorm!), very nice common area, beautifully decorated. check in process can all be done by oneself, very clearly communicated. in love with this place <3

The rooms were ok for the price. Though don't expect any sound proofing or good ventilation. There was alot of noise from door slams and outside where we slept. One of the toilets was fresh and nice, the other was disgusting sadly enough. There is no breakfast but an electrical kettle with some instant-coffee and tea next to it. Surprisingly enough there was a fridge with freezer and fridge in the room. If we knew that we could have brought breakfast material instead of buying breakfast out in the morning. Staff was nice and helpful with our luggage before check-in so we didn't have to lug around with heavy packing. We had to call to get out door codes and keys even though they said they mailed the info. They were very helpful and texted the info to us but it was a minus that we had to ask. Later on we found they must have scheduled the mailing out of the info wrong, cause 02:00 during the night the mail came, not 14:00 (an hour before our check-in time). Easy mistake. All caveats aside I recommend it as an easy, cheap option to stay in Helsingborg if you're anyways looking to be out and about rather than hanging out in the room and common areas. And it's not a long walk to central station. Perhaps 10min tops.

In this case the well known saying is true. Cheap price means cheap facilities and even more cheap service. Awkvard layout with few and far between showers and even less toilets is one thing. After all, that is partially evident from the description on the web-site and kind what can be expected from a hostel set-up. But poor cleaning - and even poorer service from management could not. Unfortunately I had to complain to the managers about disturbing noice from the old used fridge/cooler in my room. It started making noice during the night and prevented me from sleep. Sleep which is essentially what you pay for and at least expect to get. The response was rude and no appology given. ||||Stay here if you like. But you should know its not comfortable, walls are paper-thin between the small rooms. And if your sleep is disturbed by screeming ventilation or squeeking coolers? Tough luck - ” thats your probem not ours” is the reply you’ll have! I for one will never return.
