Hemingway Restaurant

Nice restaurant by the Feneketlen lake in Budapest. Food selection is limited but the restaurant itself is nice inside. Parking for vehicle is not really available.

This is an amazing restaurant It’s a bit away from the center But definitely worth the walk It’s located in a beautiful park near a lake But the best thing is the amazing food is so special and so delicious and served in such a special way. I think I had the best soup (pumpkin or something with caramel and pear with something) I ever had in my life plus the goose liver was delicious as well as the kaisersmaren. WOW!

A waiter who dares to teach you how to place your fork and knife, and touches them when you say you haven't finish the dish yet - it's unacceptable. I've never seen such an awful and impudent behavior. It's not what I expect from an expensive restaurant.

We visited the restaurant during the restaurant week, so we had a 3 course menu and it was delicious! We chose pheasant soup and grilled aubergine for starters, duck and chicken with gnocchi for main, and dessert was somloi and a decomposed strudel. Food was delicious, service was really nice, and atmosphere was great too, perfect for a date :) There is also the lake, so in spring and summer you can enjoy the food outside.

We absolutely loved the place 😍 beautiful location and interior, very kind and polite staff. We tried 3 course menu and we really liked every dish, everything was fresh, full of taste, good texture 👍. We also got pleasantly surprised with choice of drinks and prices for alcohol Definitely will come again 🥰

The foods I chose from the summer menu were OK, strawberry mint soup and dorade fish but the fries were slushy. The atmosphere of the restaurant is gorgeous. I recommend it especially in good weather when the terrace is opened, the whole place becomes like a beachside restaurant but with at pond with a water fountain. The service was friendly and fast. Card is obviously accepted, 13% service fee is added to the bill. Paid parking is available in front of the entrance. Public transports are within few minutes walking.

Nice restaurant, located near a park, greeny atmpshere, various dishes in the offer and good food. Staff is very nice! Almost all the ordered dishes were tasty and well cooked. From the ordered dishes, the baked duck was not quite baked (rather the duck was boiled and then baked). It was not quite what we expected, but all in all it was a good experience at the right price! We will return 😇
