We visited Ol Seki in June 2025 for our honeymoon. This was our first safari so we didn’t know what to expect, but this exceeded any hopes or expectations we could have had. Debbie was fantastic in running the camp & making us feel very welcome & making our time truly special. The food was delicious & a special effort was made to accommodate gluten free requirements- that was really appreciated, thank you. The room was exceptional, we were lucky enough to see giraffes and elephants from our balcony. We loved the little touches of hot water bottles in the evenings and coffee for wake up calls. A huge shout out to Mike & Evans who were the best guides we could have asked for. They were very knowledgable, friendly and fun to be around. We got close to a huge array of animals and learnt so much.||Thank you for the best 6 days. We loved every second - it was an unforgettable experience.

Wow, what a place! It ticks all the boxes for a memorable safari. It has an isolated location with stunning views that bring you up close with nature - we saw lions, elephants and other animals from the lodge itself. It's only 10 minutes drive from the nearby dirt airstrip. The quality of the "tents", restaurant, lounge, and swimming pool is exceptional. The food served is delicious. But above all is the attentive service provided by Debbie and her team of guides and caterers. I will definitely return here in the future and highly recommend the lodge to other travellers.

From start to finish our experience at Hemingways Ol Seki was absolutely incredible. When we arrived we were greeted by the most welcoming and friendly staff who couldn't have done any more to make our stay special. ||Our tent was beautifully decorated, felt like a true luxury place to stay and it had fantastic views over the Mara. It had every amenity you could possibly want including an outdoor shower. We also received a complimentary welcome gift and champagne to congratulate us on our honeymoon which was a lovely touch. My favourite thing about our tent had to be the little hatch which we were delivered our coffee in the morning to wake us up for our first game drive!||The food morning, afternoon and night is delicious and there is such a variety to choose from so you don't get bored of the food and even more picky eaters would have something. The wines they offer are lovely and again the staff are incredibly attentive at all times. As a surprise one night Debbie (Manager) organised a private dinner for me and my husband in a cave underneath the camp which was so appreciated and so special. ||The main event was obviously the game drives! Every morning and evening we managed to see something special that we'll never forget thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our guides David and Sydney. They always seemed to find the exact right spot at the right time to get the best photos and to see the action as closely as possible. We even saw a hippo giving birth which is apparently a very rare occurrence and a fantastic spot by David! It is also very clear by how the animals behave around the vehicles that the guides are deeply caring and respectful of them. The animals aren't fearful or aggressive towards the cars but are happy for you to watch what they are up to. ||Over all our stay at Hemingways was unforgettable in the best way possible. We couldn't recommend it more. ||Thank you to everyone who made our stay so amazing.

The Best Honeymoon Kickoff We Could Have Dreamed Of! We couldn’t have started our honeymoon in a better way. From the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect. There were so many highlights, but we have to start with the food—truly outstanding. Every meal was different, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It was easily some of the best food we’ve ever had, and the chef is simply incredible. The staff made us feel completely at home. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and Debbie was especially lovely and attentive. But we have to say—the absolute highlight of our entire trip was Mike, our guide. None of this would have been as magical without him. He is the funniest person ever—and that’s coming from someone British! (We don’t say that lightly.) If you have the chance to request Mike for your game drives, do it. Thank you, Ol Seki, for an unforgettable start to our honeymoon.

Hemingways Ol Seki has got even better! Thank you again for our second wonderful experience! The revamped rooms with a new bathroom and outside shower are superb. One gets into bed with a hot water bottle every night and is awakened for the early morning game drive with hot drinks and homemade biscuits.||||Being a conservancy, you are never overrun with vehicles, which adds to the specialness of the experience.||||One does bush walks, game drives, a bush breakfast etc. The guides are incredibly educated in all the fauna and flora. Our time with Isaac and Sydney was really memorable.||||The dining area, lounge and pool are incredibly relaxing with magnificent views. There is also a massage room which feels like it is a tree house!||||The food selection is lovely. Much of the veg is grown in the Mara in monkey, wild boar & hyrax proof tunnels :)! There is a small but adequate selection of wines and spirits. ||Try an Ol Seki Spritz: 1 tot Campari, 1 tot Pimms, prosecco and sparkling water! Lovely and refreshing!||||Do give Debbie warning if you have any dietary requirements before you arrive.|| All the staff are just beautiful in every way. One feels like one is part of an extended family. We will be back!

Ol Seki Hemingways Mara provides an unforgettable experience. My siblings and I really enjoyed our stay. Our tent accommodation is nothing short of mesmerizing, offering a truly luxurious and immersive experience. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. From the waitresses and security personnel to the cooks and drivers, everyone contributed to our exceptional stay. We extend special kudos to Debbie; her amazing dedication to ensuring our comfort made a significant difference. Our guides, David and Sidney, significantly enhanced our safari. David skillfully positioned our vehicle for optimal wildlife viewing. Observing a lion at such close range and witnessing a hippopotamus give birth provided a profound, life-altering perspective. Sidney proved to be a walking encyclopedia, sharing his extensive knowledge effortlessly. Visiting in June provided a less crowded and more personalized experience. While the Great Migration in the Serengeti typically begins in July, the wildlife viewing in Naboisho was still spectacular. The early mornings are cold, so remember to bring a good jacket. Afternoons are pleasantly warm. Our daily schedule included a morning game drive from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and an afternoon game drive from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Food is delicious, all meals. Arriving at the airstrip, situated seemingly in the middle of nowhere, by small airplane was an adventure in itself. The 45-minute co-pilot experience was one of the best moments of my life. This entire trip created an unforgettable experience for my siblings and me.

Travelled with family - husband, 2 children aged 14 and 11. ||Everything was great – our Guide Raphael constantly sought to give us such a nice time. He was quietly understated which suited us as we are a relatively quiet family; there was no awkwardness when everyone just wanted to look at the surroundings and take in the views. He showed great enthusiasm and determination (particularly on the driving skills – we loved the off roading in the more tricky environments … where we could see no way through for a truck he seemed to manage!). He was enthusiastic at all times in seeking in some of the more elusive game and made the more common sightings really fascinating. We had 2 breakfasts out; the more formal breakfast with other guests and then a picnic breakfast when we left at 6.30 and didn’t return until midday! In fact it was so nice that time constraints weren’t a factor at all on any game drives; we were out for hours everyday.| |The amount of game we saw was fantastic and immediately from leaving the accommodation we were surrounded by interesting sights. I didn’t expect to get so close to the wildlife. It’s a brutal but exhilarating experience watching wildlife !| |The accommodation was something else – I don’t think I can think of anything they could make better! The level of service from top down felt very personal. The staff working solely in Simba were friendly and professional. The Management team made sure they contacted us frequently to seek out any issues and we were confident in their abilities. They were clearly on top of everything. The food was great. I only wish I had more room for afternoon cake or the canapes on our afternoon drives but with only walking from Simba to the truck twice a day I didn’t really burn enough calories!

WOW! Where to even begin? This lodge exceeded all our expectations—from the incredible service to the stunning accommodations and, of course, the unforgettable game drives. We were absolutely blown away.||Debbie was an exceptional host, checking in multiple times a day to ensure we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal, even organizing a surprise private dinner in a cave to celebrate the end of our honeymoon—an experience we’ll never forget.||Between the morning and evening game drives, we had plenty of time to relax, and the lodge offered additional activities like village visits and guided game walks. However, we were perfectly content lounging by the pool, watching the passing wildlife. From the pool deck, we spotted giraffes, buffalo, and even a baby elephant, which we later tracked down on our afternoon game drive—an absolute highlight!||Our guide, Raffy, was phenomenal. His deep knowledge and passion for the wildlife made every game drive an adventure. He ensured we saw all the animals on our wish list and shared fascinating insights along the way. Raffy alone deserves a 10/10 for his expertise and enthusiasm!||If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience with top-notch service, breathtaking scenery, and unforgettable wildlife encounters, this lodge is the place to be. We can't recommend it enough!
