Hemingways Ol Seki Mara Camp (Nairobi, Kenya) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In a private corner of Naboisho Conservancy, Hemingways Ol Seki offers a rare kind of access to the Mara - no crowds, no convoys, just wide skies and tailored days. Its nine twelve-sided tents are spaced for privacy, with timber floors, canvas walls, and wide verandas that open to breathtaking views. Interiors pay tribute to classic safari style with leather armchairs, linen drapes, and handwoven rugs. Game drives are unhurried, the pace is yours to set, and no two days look the same. Not the Mara most people see: low on noise, high on everything else." - Tablet Hotels

Our stay at Hemingways' Ol Seki Mara Camp was absolutely incredible. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed with the most amazing staff. The Nina tents were luxurious, super clean, cozy, and private. It was really nice being able to sit outside alone on your balcony and relax after a game drive. Debbie and the rest of the staff were absolutely incredible. Everyone was so nice and accommodating and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special (shout out to Mike who spoiled us rotten!). The meals were delicious and the coffee delivery every morning was such a wonderful touch. There is so much love among everyone who works at Ol Seki Mara. Michael was the most amazing game drive guide. He is SO KNOWLEDGABLE about the animals and he made every minute of each drive exhilarating. The thrill of the "hunt" for the animals! He also took us to his village one afternoon and we had the privilege of learning about their culture and ways of living. That was by far the most amazing experience of my entire life and I will cherish that day forever. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. It was such a special stay and a trip I will never forget.

I don’t even know where to begin, we’ve just arrived home from our trip, and this lodge is one of the most incredibly special places we’ve ever stayed. The Nina tents are beautifully decorated and offer stunning views across the conservancy. Within just five minutes of sitting on our patio, we saw elephants wandering by - an unforgettable welcome. Every member of staff was exceptional. Our guides, Ben (Bernard) and Sidney, were incredibly knowledgeable and seemed able to find everything we hoped to see. They were warm, friendly, and made each game drive a joy, sharing fascinating stories from their Maasai culture. The food was spectacular, it felt like enjoying gourmet dining in the middle of the wilderness. The wait staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely lovely. What truly sets this lodge apart are the thoughtful little touches: hot drinks delivered as a wake-up call, hot water bottles placed in the bed at turn-down, and countless other details that made our stay feel so personal and special. As part of our trip, we did a hot air balloon safari, which required a day excursion into the main reserve. While we loved the balloon experience, it confirmed that choosing Ol Seki in the private Naboisho Conservancy was absolutely the right decision. The main reserve felt crowded, with vehicles jostling for position, we even saw tourists arguing at a leopard sighting, and the enclosed vehicles used there were far less comfortable. In contrast, Hemingways’ open-sided vehicles and the exclusivity of the conservancy made every drive feel more enjoyable, intimate, and respectful to the wildlife. For all of these reasons, I wouldn’t hesitate to return or to recommend this incredible lodge to anyone. A special thank-you to Debbie for being such a welcoming and attentive host.

We had the most magical time at Ol Seki Hemingways! I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for somewhere but absolutely had to because of how special this stay was. We went for four nights during our Honeymoon, and could not believe how magical of a time we had. The rooms were wonderful, spacious and had incredible views overlooking the conservation. Patrick, our guide was incredible!!! So knowledgeable on all things Masai Mara, incredibly kind and funny. We loved our special surprise cocktails from Mike, and the entire staff was so wonderful. Debbie, was the most welcoming host and truly got to know all her guests. Highly recommend this stay. The conservation itself is perfect, and gives you up close and personal access to all the animals without it feeling too crowded. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool in between game drives and a fabulous bush breakfast and dinner. Don’t skip out on the village visit either!

Hemingways Ol Seki was absolute perfection. Came here with my partner for his birthday and it was an incredible experience. The staff are the kindest people you’ll meet, who will go above and beyond for you. Shoutout to Mel, Layler, and Lucas from the main reception/ dining room area. Food, rooms, and pool were also outstanding. I don’t even have words to describe how amazing the drives were. Mike was so incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and went out of his way to get us as close as possible (safely) to them, while respecting their space. Highly recommend to anyone considering a trip. No notes 100/10

What a beautiful place to experience, I feel so lucky to have stayed here. The accommodation was perfect - luxurious, cosy and private. I loved the decor that gave it the feeling of being on an adventure back in time. And the extra touches, such as coffee delivery in the early morning, followed by an outdoor shower on your return, made it very relaxing. The food and choice of wines were excellent…we sat out most evenings by the fire and the staff were spot on at making sure you were being looked after, whilst also knowing when to hold back. As for the animals - stars of the whole show! Every minute of the drives was exhilarating, whether you were on the hunt for an elusive leopard or watching how all the different animals exist along side each other. I will never forget the sound of the lions roaring at night. A completely perfect stay.

Wow! Words (and pictures) will never do this place justice. We spent the most incredible 4 nights at Ol Seki to kick off our honeymoon and it couldn't have been more perfect. The entire Ol Seki team are wonderful, from our guides (David and Joshua) who helped us experience the majesty of this conservancy to the wonderful team at the lodge (shoutout to Yucks!), every detail and moment was spectacular! Debbie- thank you for making the experience so relaxing and for being so welcoming, the lodge truly has the most luxurious yet relaxed feel which is such a wonderful blend to have found. This was our first safari so choosing a lodge was quite tricky but we couldn't be happier that we ended up at Ol Seki and if you're thinking of booking, just do it, you will not regret it! We have made memories to last a lifetime and hope that we can return one day.

We visited Ol Seki in June 2025 for our honeymoon. This was our first safari so we didn’t know what to expect, but this exceeded any hopes or expectations we could have had. Debbie was fantastic in running the camp & making us feel very welcome & making our time truly special. The food was delicious & a special effort was made to accommodate gluten free requirements- that was really appreciated, thank you. The room was exceptional, we were lucky enough to see giraffes and elephants from our balcony. We loved the little touches of hot water bottles in the evenings and coffee for wake up calls. A huge shout out to Mike & Evans who were the best guides we could have asked for. They were very knowledgable, friendly and fun to be around. We got close to a huge array of animals and learnt so much.||Thank you for the best 6 days. We loved every second - it was an unforgettable experience.

Wow! We had a truly amazing experience during our stay at Ol Seki Hemingways. The individual tent structures are beautifully crafted with every amenity that you could possibly need and the views over the plains and wild animals were just incredible. We watched giraffes, elephants, African buffalo and other wildlife from our deck every day. The food and beverages were very good and the staff were so accommating and engaging!|The driving/walking guides that we had for our 4 night stay were charming, funny and remarkably experienced and educational. Ben and Sydney made our stay so joyful and memorable !
