Hemlock Neversink

Our experience at Hemlock Neversink Resort was exceptional from start to finish. The hiking was outstanding, with beautiful trails that truly let you disconnect and enjoy nature. My wife absolutely loved hiking with the goats—it was such a unique and joyful experience and a highlight of our trip. I had an incredible massage that was deeply relaxing and expertly done. The restaurant exceeded all expectations—the food was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and memorable. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Every single person we encountered was wonderful, kind, and genuinely helpful. Their warmth made us feel welcome and cared for throughout our stay. We can’t recommend Hemlock Neversink enough and are already looking forward to coming back.

This is my new fave place to go to reset and take care of myself. It's a very luxurious hotel but it's more like a retreat center - there's cozy cabins and firepits, and reading nooks and nature all around. It's the kind of space where you can curl up with tea by the fire or stare out at the trees and feel your nervous system settle.||So here are my highlights - the food is next level. I don't know how, but somehow they make vegetables I normally would never eat the most delicious thing ever. The service is very good - not in a stuffy way, but in the way where you feel like someone you know is hosting you and really cares about you. ||I had the best massage of my life by a pracitioner named Michelle. As someone who is always on the go, it was like she melted off years of stress and tension that was stuck in my shoulders and back. ||Make sure you bring a bathing suit because you want to use the hot tub. The pool/hot tub area is straight out of a pinterest board.||Oh, and there are goats. And yes, you can hike with them.

My husband and I had our wedding weekend at Hemlock Neversink in October 2025 and it was, simply put, absolute perfection! The property is stunning with multiple venues/areas for events and gathering. All of our guests had nothing but positive things to say about their rooms, the available activities/amenities, the food (many said it was the best wedding reception food they had ever had) and the friendly service. It was truly the most magical weekend and we cannot say enough great things about the hotel and staff that work here! My partner and I spent 5 days at Hemlock for our anniversary, and in our 11 years together, this was the nicest couples vacation we have taken together. Simply put, Hemlock is just a really bougie adult's daycare center. They have a stunning pool and spa center with an incredibly comfortable relaxation room right next door, and every single day was filled with fun activities that included arts and crafts and goat hikes. The restaurant within the resort, Bittersweet, was also incredible because the kitchen served the most delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But while the resort was a beautiful and peaceful getaway on a snowy December week, the staff at Hemlock was what really made our entire vacation for us. Starting off at the front desk with Marissa, Ryan, and Rose, who helped us every single day for anything and everything we asked for and didn't even realize we needed. From the wonderful arts and crafts classes from Andrew and Payton, to the informative guided hikes from Joe and Megan with her goats, to Irene for the awesome stargazing with her telescope, to the best servers ever Dio, Zoey, Brandon, and Zack, and then the most creative chefs at Bittersweet, Dante, Tony, Niko, and everyone else in the kitchen! Truly, thank you all for going out of your way to make our trip the best that it could be. We are not even exagerrating when we say that this will definitely be the most memorable trip we've ever had, so we appreciate every single one of you and the other members in your team so much. Also, shout out to Carol for the most insane full body massage that left me feeling like melted butter on the table!

We had such a lovely stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. We truly felt cared for the entire time. We loved all of the spa amenities and often found ourselves with the pool and hot tub completely to ourselves, which made it feel extra special and relaxing. We also went on the goat hike, which was such a fun and unique experience. My boyfriend got the Sports Recovery Massage and absolutely loved it, and I had the Seasonal Body Polish with Taylor, it was amazing and so thoughtfully done. Dinner at Bittersweet was a great experience as well because everything was delicious. Our room was spotless, cozy, and so comfortable. I’m already planning to make this a yearly stay.

We loved our stay! We’re from the West Coast but have family upstate, so we flew in to JFK and stopped at Neversink on our way up. It was such a great experience. Highlights: - friendly staff dedicated to ensuring we had a good time - morning yoga in that beautiful space - candle making craft workshop - goat walk - space and trails to walk - The pool room is so cute - the relaxation room was gorgeous! - Gym was really nice and had interesting equipment Our room was super cute and cozy and we loved being able to stay active and busy Rose and the other staff truly went above and beyond. The food was very delicious, fresh, and interesting recipes. I would’ve never thought about my own period the restaurant staff was very attentive. And it was nice to have a fancy dinner on site. My wife and I never go out to fancy dinners. Highly recommend!

Overall my wife and I had a great stay. We celebrated my 50th birthday. The food was excellent and staff were Maritza, Dio and other staff were very friendly and attentive. They took care of us. My wife and I are foodies and have a high bar when it comes to dining out. The property is just two hours away by car from where we live so it is relatively easy to get to. A few things of note - our room (22) was a little cool, but once we turned on the heat, it was ok. We also had to let the water run for several minutes before it warmed up enough for us to use the sink/shower. Our spa treatments were excellent; we both received massages from Carol, she was great! It would also be nice to have brighter lighting in the men’s locker room of the spa. We plan on returning to Hemlock Neversink in the future and will definitely recommend you to our friends and family.

Celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday - this was one of the most special amazing experiences we’ve shared together. Everything - the room, food, spa, service, and activities… but most of all, the STAFF!! Everyone made us feel so welcome – thank you Rose, Ryan, Dio, Andrew, Zach and the entire Hemlock team for making this the best birthday celebration a couple could ask for. Could not recommend more if you want to rejuvenate and feel incredible. Can’t wait to come back.
