Came in here the other day for the first time and had a long, delightful conversation with Tom, the owner, who is so friendly, kind, and interesting. He clearly cares about the customers and his business. The store itself is great and stocked with essential art tools and bits and kits, and there's a nice little gallery downstairs. Definitely will come back!

Couldn't recommend highly enough. Went to the shop with a tricky framing job to have done and they turned it around in less than 6 days. Tom was great to deal with, very friendly and helpful, and the price was extremely reasonable.

I can’t rate this place enough. Have bought 3 framed prints from Tom now and had them shipped down to London with no issues at all. He’s super friendly, helpful and fast at responding to my countless emails. Thank you!

This is an absolutely brilliant shop: it's small, but they stock an astonishing range of art supplies and lovely papers, beautifully displayed, and Tom and his team are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgable. They are genuinely interested in their customers and work hard to make sure their customers are happy. I needed something the other day which they don't stock, and Tom had several useful suggestions about where I might find what I was looking for. Very, very highly recommended!

On our holiday we visited Henderson Art Shop in Edinburgh and my wife who’s an artist was impressed by the wide selection of art supplies available. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting her to find some acrylic paint. Would definitely be our go-to art shop if we lived in Edinburgh.

Yelp
Cute little art supply shop! It does what it says on the tin: it's an art supply store. It carries a good number of high end artsy bits and bobs. Sure, this place is a little pricey, so I wouldn't pop in for every day stationary or office stuff, but if you're looking for something in particular, it would be a good place to pop your head in. I went in seeking sealing wax... because yes, I happen to find wax sealed cards delightful and was happy to see they had a few options. Again, tipping towards the higher price side of things, but they had real wax sticks and not the plasticky "hot glue gun" wax seal knock offs. Kudos. They also seem to have a variety of prints and canvases downstairs, but I must admit, i've never ventured down. I usually run in here in the midst of some crafting emergency, so there isn't much time to snoop. Service has always been friendly and helpful, if a bit quiet.
