Not so great. My wife has been dreaming of staying here for the last few years finally surprised her and boy was it disappointing. The location is fantastic dead end road and quiet the dining area over looks the ocean. Amazing sunrise. Unfortunately this place was a commercial luxury seriously lacking, that had no character or charm. Room was hada large gap under the door so you could hear everything in the hallway. Got woken up early to guests leaving. Staff was ok the check in guy, but was not once asked how the stay was or if we slept well. Also be prepared to pay for parking. This could be such a cute place but it's just lacking attention to detail. Maybe they have new ownership or something but it's clearly not the gem we thought it was.

We booked two different rooms based on what they had available. The first night we booked their most expensive room, the presidential suite and the second and third night we booked the queen Juliette balcony (as this was all they had). When we arrived, no one asked us if we needed help with our luggage. We made our way to the Presidential Suite and it was filthy. The room size was massive but they clearly never cleaned it well. The couches and carpet all stained, the vents had 1 inch layers of dust all over, the fan was covered in dust balls and dust layers, some vents were falling out of the ceiling with no screws, the tile floor cracked, carpet has nails popping through and there is dirt and dust all over the floors from not being vacuumed or cleaned. There was also a huge roach on the floor which didn’t add for an additional touch. It’s Florida so I’m trying to be accepting of palmetto roaches but it wasn’t cool finding that on your already filthy $1000 room floor. We were incredibly disappointed. For over $1000 this is not what we expected. We did share this with management and our next two nights we were supposed to stay in the queen room, was then adjusted to the king room. While the king room was definitely much cleaner, this room was also hundreds of dollars less in value. It’s just very disappointing to pay over $1000 to have a room you can’t sit on the couch, or walk the floors without your feet covered. Aside from the room, we also had a pretty awful breakfast experience. Eggs cold, and my husband’s avacado toast was missing the egg. We sent it back and it was fixed but that lost our trust in the restaurant so we ate out instead. Our experience with the rental chairs on the beach was not good the first day either. The guy told us there were chairs set up, we walked over and there wasn’t. He didn’t offer to add anymore, so my husband put ours out for us. We really felt they lacked the customer service feature here. This place lacked the prestige we hoped for and we decided we wouldn’t return here again. While the sunset and sunrise are just breathtaking, the hospitality and attention to detail here is lacking and not for us at this price. It seems people have been coming here for so many years they have blinders up and are missing how much is falling through the cracks but an issue. We would not stay here again and definitely do not believe 4 stars is a true depiction of this place, it could use work and improvements.

View on the beach side is awesome. If you are not on the 3rd floor...good luck. Ceiling is thin on the noise concealment. Largest balcony is on 2nd floor. $25.00 parking fee per night just started this year and the parking lot is small and already over crowded. Been coming for 3 years straight but this stay was my worst experience. Heavy noise traffic from 3rd floor, cost on parking and not restful this time. View is unmatched and no kids allowed is a plus. Adults can be just as inconsiderate and that is not the Henderson Park's fault. Happy hour is included in cost but drinks are limited and complimentary snacks and can drinks/water/coffee are available. S'mores kits at front desk also free for the fire pits out back. It is a bit pricey but mostly worth it.

I’ve been to the area many times but this was my first time staying here. My husband and I originally had another trip booked, but needed to change to something closer to home at the last minute. Everything from the beach service, snacks, happy hour, & good coffee to the view made this stay perfect. We also enjoyed using the adult pools next door. I’m already planning when I can come back! Thank you Henderson Park Inn for a great vacation!

Google
For an Inn, it is overpriced and the amenities are not impressive. The people are kind, so that is a plus. The biggest concern is the lack of transparency. An inn should be quaint and intimate, not a status symbol and unfortunately that was the entire vibe of this facility. I will never go back which is a bummer because in pictures and on paper it looks dreamy. Super disappointed in the lack of attention to detail, and follow-through on something that could be an absolute stunning place.

Henderson Park Inn is a lovely, adults only, inn. Right on the beach and next to the state park, it’s as secluded as you’ll find on any Gulf beach. ||||Beach Walk Cafe is very nice. It’s small. I suggest a reservation. ||||Our favorite thing about HPI is the people. Everyone you meet there seems to become a friend, and the staff without exception makes you feel well cared for. ||||And Robert at the tiki bar makes great drinks and conversation for happy hour. He might even sing a little. He’s better than he lets on. ||||Go to Henderson Park Inn to enjoy some peace and pampering.

The inn is reminiscent of one you would see on cape cod with tons of character and charm! Lots of wonderful touches that are included in the daily resort fee. Water, soft drinks and snacks and a happy hour each afternoon. Also beach chairs and umbrellas provided along with beach service. Can’t wait to return!

We stayed at Henderson Park Inn for a girls trip and had the best time. The location is unbeatable with gorgeous views, and the private beach made it feel so special. The staff were warm and welcoming, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and we loved being able to relax on the balcony in the evenings. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, and it really set the tone for the day. Definitely book your girls getaway here! Special shoutout to Jovonna, the food and beverage supervisor, who went above and beyond to make sure we were fully taken care of throughout our trip.

Yelp
High touch beautiful property The service was excellent with cookies and beverages complimentary. There is free 1 drink happy hour on wonderful porch overlooking the beach.

Yelp
We really like this hotel! This is our second visit here and will likely not be our last. It's tucked up right next to Henderson State Park, right on the beach. The traffic is usually very light in the area and, save for the waves, quiet. No pool, but their sister property is right next door has several really awesome pools that you can use, just a short walk away. There's also a complimentary happy hour every afternoon and they have water, sodas, coffee and a good selection of snacks 24hrs, also complimentary. Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas already set up and just waiting on you each morning as well. The rooms are nice and comfortable and, most importantly, the air works great! Our last stay we had a really nice bathroom and shower that was recently redone. This visit, the bath was more dated. I suspect it is on the list for a makeover, but just hasn't been completed yet. Nevertheless, clean, tidy and well appointed, just not fancy new like our previous experience. Upfront, this place is spendy but they really try to make it a great, intimate experience for all the guests and they do a top notch job in my opinion. If you're a parent with a few clear days on the whiteboard (kids at camp) or a couple just looking for a great experience, Henderson Park Inn is a great option to consider.

Yelp
I absolutely love this Inn. The small things that make it special are too numerous to mention. It is filled with character and remains true to its beginnings.

Yelp
Spent the weekend here for Valentine's Day with my wife. The place was nice and the view was wonderful. The weather didn't cooperate all that much. The room was decent and the breakfast was so so as well. I gave it a four star for the good service but it was a little pricey. $650+ per night. On top of that rate they hit us with another $25 per day parking for guests. And if you lose your key to the room$100 replacement charge. This was purely a one time experience.
google avatar

Yelp
I would recommend the rooftop bar for drinks and appetizers. It is so gorgeous up there and has a stunning view for the sunset. The staff is awesome and sweet and everything we tried was really good. Food came quickly also.

Yelp
The room: room was well kept, the view from the room was beautiful (you could see the trees, and the beach. They have a chair you can sit on at the balcony to enjoy the view. The bed very comfortable and the tv was right in front of it... the tub was also in front of the tv if you choose to open the blinds of the bathtub. The shower was spacious, and everything else in the bathroom was good too. Cannot think of much or anything wrong with the room. Cleaning service: service was good in some ways and bad in others... room service never came at the same time, sometimes not at all. Would have to call to have them come bring stuff, that was the only way to get towels and toilet paper, which is fine for me, but not okay if you want your room cleaned. The hotel room cleaners were very polite and nice though. The food: the restaurant at the hotel was nice, however very overpriced. They had a live performer there at one time, and he was very good.My favorite thing I tried was the fish tacos, they were very good. The drinks were good as well. Now, the in room food service was not nearly as good, and was also very expensive, which is expected (it is room-service food after all). The quality of the food was mediocre and sometimes even came cold. For example, my husband got bacon and waffles breakfast order to the room and it was cold, like it was prepared a while ago, same with avocado toast and bacon I got. Also included a gratuity charge automatically, which made the bill skyrocket even more. Also worth noting, they did not have sn flavor for coffee (at least for in-room meals), so no vanilla cappuccinos. With all this said, the food was always brought pretty fast, about 30 minutes or less each time. The beach: you could walk to the beach from my room very fast, just need to go down some floors and go to the pool and make your way to beach from there, it was very close. The beach was super nice. However, you couldn't bring your own chairs and umbrellas if you wanted to, had to rent them, which it okay I guess, just worth noting. The beach was clear, and the sand was super nice. They also include kayaking complimentary for staying in the hotel. I tried it out with my husband and it was very fun. The beach staff was nice. The hotel provided towels for the beach. There is a bar near the beach, so you can enjoy a pina colada while laying on the beach. Parking: never tried parking ourselves. Husband and I got the valet parking, which was 25 dollars a day. I believe it was ultimately worth it. The service was good, and very fast. We could go ask for the car whenever we wanted and they'd take it to us. Side note: the pool was gorgeous, huge. They also had an adult-only pool for those who didn't want to swim with kids. However, the pool closes at 10:00 pm, which is wayyyyy too late in my opinion. People are on vacation, I think at least the adult pool should be open longer than that.

Yelp
We visited for the first time and had an Incredible experience. I have been coming to Destin since I was a child. It was not until this summer that I felt I was in a resort in a different place. The Henderson made our stay amazing.

Yelp
What a awesome gem located on the emerald coast! Everything is unique about this place, with the interior being very small and quaint. The food is amazing! We got the Wagu ribeye and lobster tails and both dishes were great! I especially loved my lobster, broiled in butter, just all around tasty. Service is top notch. Would definitely come back next time in town!

Yelp
The employee are Kind & very attentive' The room 202 had a Beautiful view ' but the bathroom is outdated & the sink is uncomfortably low' the bed needs a new mattress desperately it was creeky & uncomfortable' we could also hear the people in the rooms above us & next to us' Not a good nights sleep' The inn itself is pretty & the grounds are Beautiful' We did go in January and the price to stay was still high at almost 400 with fees more fees & taxes' Definitely NOT worth it' We had dinner & it was just ok ' Pricey ' Service was excellent' Breakfast was Good & worth the price' It was our first & last time here

Yelp
It's been over 30 years since we were here last. The place is as great as always. Rene, Mary, and Blake make this a place to return to over and over. The service is Five Stars every time. A real must when in the area.

Yelp
Disappointed. 4 days of clear weather and Toes in the Sand was not available to enjoy for our anniversary trip.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great trip! We loved our time at this inn. Cold weather didn't stop us from enjoying it! Huge shout out to the staff at the inn who always went above and beyond to offer us help to make our stay even more enjoyable. We plan to make this a yearly trip!

Sandy W.

Yelp
We did not stay at the Inn but decided to have lunch there. The best part about it was the view!! You can see the Ocean. I ordered Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos. I received grilled Mahi Tacos. The waitress replied when I told her " I can bring you some seasoning" (what?!) there was hardly any fish on the two Tacos mostly toppings, it came with Nachos ( hardly any) this was $19!! The Tacos were just laying on top of each other so the bottom one was soggy. ( not in a Taco holder). I definitely will not eat there again! The restaurant was not that busy.
google avatar

Dale W.

Yelp
We came here for our anniversary. It was wonderful. The staff are so friendly & helpful. Absolute great get away, nothing to think about, just relax, feel pampered & enjoy the beautiful views. Can't wait to come back!

Kylie O.

Yelp
Blake is the best server, beach attendant, HUMAN. He loves people so well and is beyond intentional in every interaction. Anyone would be better after meeting him! Hardest worker on that beach

Sherri B.

Yelp
We had a wonderful anniversary celebration at the Henderson Park Inn. The staff is very personable and provide great service. The breakfasts and service by Greg are superb, and we also loved afternoon happy hour with James in the tiki bar. Edit also provided wonderful service during our anniversary dinner on the porch. It's a special place, and we will be back!

Ann J.

Yelp
My husband and I always book our next vacation while staying at the Inn because we love it so much. The staff are so helpful and caring. Mary at the front desk is a real treat and professional helping with anything that may arise. Chef Greg, Preston, and Manda helped make sure we were well fed and had a great day. While there have been some changes- a stay at Henderson Park Inn is always a good time to rest and recharge. I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Stayed here for our Babymoon and it was amazing. Had the Executive suite in the east building on the third floor. Gorgeous view of the beach. Great service from staff. Very private setting. Beach is not crowded. You'll get the occasional straggler from the sister resort where they cross the barrier but it's not really a big deal. Breakfast is always good. Would prefer another option for lunch but it's still good that it's included in your stay. No need to leave the inn at all. We didn't and were sad to leave. Loved the whirlpool tub and used it every night with bath bombs. Would definitely return again.

Shelby S.

Yelp
We had such high hopes for the resort after reading amazing reviews and were so disappointed. I felt like I was at a Bed & Breakfast. Very small rooms that need major updating. For the prices that they charge for rooms as well as the food at this property and the resort that you can use as well, it's just not worth it. It's also advertised as adults only, which the actual Henderson Park Inn is (meaning the rooms), but parts of the property do allow kids and the beach is overrun by kids everywhere. We ended up spending time at the adults only pool across the street at the resort because that was the most peaceful. Had I known that, I would have saved about $600/night and thousands of dollars.

Jon S.

Yelp
Have to give shout outs to three staff members who made our trip great! Nicholas was awesome from time we checked in and could not do enough everyday. Such a great guy who put the personal touch on the hotel. James at the bar was great. Made each afternoon fun. Gregg each morning greater and served us like family. Could not have asked for better trip. Hope to see them all when I return!

Yelp
Despite being an evacuee and having to leave our home, this was such a nice place to stop for a night. It gave us moment of calm and relaxation. Such a lovely place with a beautiful view of the Gulf. I loved the view and the way the hotel was set up. They make such a nice effort to make their hotel special and expierences special for their guests. They start off with setting your room up with chocolates, light jazz, a bottle of wine and grapes. Such a nice way to end our travels for the day. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We were wandering around and came across the snack corner. One of the customer service workers explained to us that we could help ourselves to water, soda, candy bar, granola bars and coffee. The restaurant had a delicious brunch, the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. I indulged in some heavenly southern food. The price is a bit high, yes it's beautiful and one the beach and the rooms are nice but not amazing. Its a bit high but they gave us a break on the price due to us having to.evacuate which was very nice. I'd love to go back but I'll have to wait for a weekend special or maybe a wedding .

Ashton C.

Yelp
Honestly, I am very disappointed with how everything was at the restaurant. We had incredibly high hopes and were let down by the quality of the food. Especially for the price!! The steaks were over cooked compared to how we ordered them, and one of the steaks legitimately smelt rotten. And unfortunately we are not the type of people to send things back or bring things up, so we just had to let it go to waste. The night however did not stop there, because I did end up getting sick later that night because of the food. Overall we were just expecting better due to the price of the food, and how amazing everything else is at the Henderson. The one redeeming quality was the view which was incredible but unfortunately it did not make up how poor the food was.
google avatar

Andi S.

Yelp
This is an exquisite Beach experience. The natural beauty of a secluded beach and a 5 star resort is breathtaking. When we arrive at the Henderson, we unpack and never leave until we check out. This is heaven on earth.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
This is such a relaxing place. I've stayed at the condo to the east since I was a small child and since this property is 25 and up, it took a while to stay there. I went with my now husband a few years ago and it was awesome. The rooms are teeny tiny but it has a Nantucket vibe since the Abbot brothers moved to Destin and built it based on their east coast childhood. The new owners are a hotel group in Memphis and I truly hope they preserve this inn for the future. The spa is better than a Ritz Carlton anywhere. The restaurant is to die for. Each lady gets a rose at dinner which doesn't hurt!

Danielle A.

Yelp
The spa and on-site eats are too notch. Spent a half day at the spa, then had brunch and wrapped with drinks on the rooftop bar. Have been twice will return again.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
I treated my mom to a staycation here for her birthday the past weekend! Hands down the best weekend - from the staff to the gorgeous and extremely clean and spacious room overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico to the exquisite dinner at Beach Walk Cafe! I'm a lifetime Destin local and highly recommend staying at this gorgeous Inn nestled in the heart of Crystal Beach just minutes from shopping, dining and entertainment!
google avatar

Janet B.

Yelp
We made a last minute birthday trip here to celebrate my 60th. We knew the "rooms" we booked were "not the best" on the property but last night was the worst!! The room was right above the kitchen and the head of the bed was on the same wall as the dishwasher- we are guessing. It was after midnight before we were able to sleep. Ridiculous!!! Don't sale the room. Move the bed to the opposite wall. After I called downstairs to complain the girl called back at 10:45pm to tell us that she came upstairs and thought the swinging door in the kitchen was making the noise and she would put in a work order for the next morning. A lot of *^%##}{!!!! Food was good. Property nice enough. Our other rooms were great. Dinner at the Inn restaurant was excellent with great service. And happy hour drinks were a great way to get to know your fellow vacationers. My 60th was overall a great time.

Yelp
Wow. Henderson Park Inn is everything as advertised. Looking for a quiet beach getaway with the perfect balance of service and privacy? This. Is. The place. Inclusive: breakfast (awesome!) and a beach-box lunch, hotel-quality beach umbrellas/chairs, all the soft drinks, bottled water you want. The rooms are old school with nice beds and balconies overlooking Destin's superlative shoreline (with its beautiful blue water.) Indoor/outdoor restaurant/bar also overlooks the beach. Can't disconnect from the internet? Their high-speed wifi is THE BEST. Also, I cannot say enough about the staff, who go the extra mile to make guests happy. Thank you for an unforgettable escape from the daily grind. We will be back!

Allison C.

Yelp
This is only my first night, but I'm already eager to leave a great review!! I've had nothing but superior treatment, gourmet food, thirst quenching drinks, and an absolutely gorgeous beach to enjoy it on. I'm in love with Destin, and The Henderson!!
google avatar

Steve A.

Yelp
What a wonderful place to spend a night or two at the beach. The amenities are amazing, including complementary coffee, beverages, and water. And the staff is so welcoming and friendly. Great views, great rooms. Highly recommended.
google avatar

J S.

Yelp
If you plan on staying here do NOT bother with the Presidential Suite, it's overpriced and most of the stuff listed on the website is wrong. There is NO privacy on the balcony even though it is listed to have privacy. There are kids playing on the beach right outside my window even though kids are supposedly not allowed here. The shower has two shower heads but if you try to use both the shower will fill up with water. One of the sinks leaks. The wall mounted TV doesn't fit the hole. The light switches don't work properly or in some case are broken. The 300 feet of private beach DOESN'T exist, it's basically just a small sign that everyone seems to just ignore. Oh, and apparently there is a swastika in the light fixture that I will include a photo for. Is it just a coincidence, maybe but it should probably be changed.

Dianne R.

Yelp
I just cancelled a reservation due to a family commitment that came up. The reservation was fully 2 months out and I was still charged a $200 cancellation fee. Be aware of this policy before making a reservation and this has certainly made it so I will NEVER make a reservation there again because of this exorbitant fee. I can understand if it was close to the reservation, but again 2 months out is plenty of time to sell the room again. I wanted to go but not anymore.

Yelp
Please give the Henderson Park Inn ten stars for us. My wife and I enjoyed four wonderful days laying on the beach being pampered by the fantastic Henderson staff. Complimentary breakfast, box lunch and happy hour! No kids, no pets, no one under 25 sorry!! We're scheduling a return trip soon or maybe we'll never leave!!!
google avatar

Jack B.

Yelp
Awesome location to get away from it all. Adults only one of a kind. Our room was on 2nd floor with balcony. Open the double doors and sit down and enjoy the view. Free happy hour every day at 4pm. Breakfast buffet, lunch made to suite your taste and fine dining for dinner.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary . We had such a great time relaxing and just enjoying the beautiful beach! The hotel is very nice and the private beach is great , but what real sets this place apart is the service ! My man Tim the GM is a genuinely nice guy and made us feel so welcomed , Dustin took care of us at the Tiki Bar and the guys cooking breakfast are really cool and serve up some good stuff! We will be back !

Yelp
This is a review of the restaurant. Ambiance was so-so. It could have been 5 stars but there is no separate dining room inside the B&B. We ate inside and it was distracting to have people watching TV in an adjacent room. Tip: It probably would have been better if we had had our meal outside on the patio. Recommend giving that a try. The food was very good! I had the Caprese salad which was ok and my entree was Chilean Sea Bass over rice with an asparagus sauce. The bass was excellent and the rice and asparagus sauce was delicious! My wife had the Yellowfin tuna and said it was seared perfectly! Her only issue with it was that it served luke warm. For dessert we tried the Bananas Foster Cheesecake. Yum O! Highly recommend it! I also had a French Press coffee - which was very weak. I like very strong coffee so that was a bummer. The service is 5 stars! They really treat you right here, starting with the complimentary valet parking. All of the staff were very friendly and hospitable - from the valet parking attendant to the hostess and wait staff. A VERY nice touch is that each lady dining with them is given a complimentary long stem rose! Well done! Overall we enjoyed our meal and recommend giving them a try and eating on the patio!

Kathy F.

Yelp
Amazing place! Everything about it was five stars. The service, the location, the friendly staff, the room, all the little touches that they included. Breakfast and lunch included! We will be back for sure!!!

Yelp
An amazing and special place to get away for a romantic weekend/week. Gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico with stunning sunrises and sunsets. The white sands are amazing to walk on and Henderson offers free chairs and umbrella setup daily. The rooms are very nice. It's like a bed and breakfast but with many more amenities. The full hot breakfast is excellent with great cooks Allen and Greg always offering a smile and great conversation. Free bikes are available to take a ride down scenic 98 highway. The Inn supplies free boxed lunches from Honey Baked Ham. Yum! A fun happy hour awaits from 3:30-4:30 with beer, wine and fun beach drinks. Also, no kids which is a nice break for most parents. All and all a lovely time and will return again!

Yelp
If you're looking for a quaint adult property on the beach in Destin, this is the place for you! The staff is lovely and the food is delicious!! Breakfast, box lunch and happy hour are all included. I took my husband to the Henderson Park Inn for his 60th birthday trip and was just delighted. We booked for next year before we left and cannot wait to get back.

Yelp
My wife and I have visited this beautiful bed and breakfast on the beach a few times and we love it. They make it very easy to just relax and forget everything. Most meals except dinner are included in the price for your room. They have a breakfast and mimosa bar with a cook who prepares eggs and omelet a to order. They provide cookies and lemonade before lunch. Lunch is a boxed sandwich and chips that you order the night before and eat at your leisure. This is followed by a free happy hour at 4. They keep a well stocked fridge in the common area with water, sodas, and snacks. You can make a reservation for dinner at their wonderful restaurant, or you can explore what Destin has to offer. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. A decent, inexpensive bottle of wine greets you in your room Love this place.

Yelp
My husband and I love this place. We now come every year. The ambience is wonderful, and although we love kids, it is nice that this place is adults only. Happy Hour is definitely a nice Plus to have. The breakfast crew is super friendly and personable. The on site restaurant is pricey, but the food is good. The only thing we have ever thought that could improve is the lunch. It is a great thing that lunch is included, but the food is only average.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time on our babymoon here! Highly recommend. All of the amenities were fantastic. Wonderful breakfast, boxed lunch, happy hour, stocked fridge with waters, cola and candy bars. They even catered to my gluten and dairy allergies for the meals included and when we ate at the cafe for dinner. PS the dinner is not to be missed! Splurge a little you wont be sad you did. Now let me talk about the ambiance...on the 2nd floor in the main building theres a little sitting area that is adorable and nice to relax and read in...or you can enjoy the porches outside your room! The private beach was incredible. The porch was shaded in places and had chairs to recline in as well making it a great place to eat our lunch. The views were amazing. Love the private beach and places to relax on the porch. We felt pampered and cared for. It was the perfect place to relax and reconnect before we welcome our first little one into the world. I can't say enough about how wonderful this little vacation was for us!

Yelp
In my view Henderson Park Inn is "Best in Class" in food, service and location. My only regret was that I wasn't able to stay longer. If you've never stayed here... make plans soon. They are booked up months in advance. Recommend Gulf Suite. Pricey... but worth it!

Yelp
My man and I decided to escape from New Orleans for a few days. I wanted him to experience the beautiful beaches of Destin, so we headed that way, We stayed two nights at the Henderson Park Inn and we had a great time. Things that make this place awesome: 1. Adults only (With that being said- don't get any images of a swingers club, it just means no kids allowed.) 2. All the bottled water, soda and candy bars you can eat - FOR FREE! (Okay, this really excited me, because I LOVE candy. I guess they assume that "adults" won't overdo it, but I ate 5 candy bars in two days...) 3. Breakfast & lunch is included in your stay (breakfast includes an omelet station and lunch is your choice of yummy sandwich - vegetarian options as well) 4. Private beach (complete with chairs and umbrellas) 5. Romantic views (even the black-hearted will appreciate) 6. Awesome staff (They even mailed us a shirt that my boyfriend had accidentally left in the closet -free of charge) One drawback: Very expensive You do get what you pay for & if you have a little extra dough, I enthusiastically recommend this place!

Yelp
Strange that I'm the first reviewer for the HPI, but let me tell you, this place is incredible. First off, the location alone is worth five stars. At the end of the road, next to Henderson Beach State Park, the seclusion you get staying here in the otherwise crowded Destin area is unparalleled. The food, service and overall experience is top-notch. From the manager that takes your reservation to the chef and wait staff that serve you in the restaurant, you're treated like the only guest there. Beach Walk, the restaurant, is amazing, as is the complimentary breakfast that guests receive. My wife and I were treated to incredible creations all three mornings we were there. Lunch is provided as a box-lunch style offering, from the Honeybaked Ham store. Nothing too fancy, but it'll hit the spot if you're sticking around the Inn. There are no children at the HPI...it's adults only, and it's 100% worth it. Celebrating an anniversary? Engagement? A weekend away from the kids? This is the place. If you want to relax with your significant other, there's nothing better. The staff is as accommodating as any Ritz or Four Seasons. Now, in fairness, the rooms and bathrooms at the HPI are nice, but it's not marble and crystal everywhere. This is just an incredibly well-run B&B, with great accommodations. It's as relaxing a time you could have on the Gulf coast, IMHO. I imagine that the experience at the HPI is what life was like before all the development in the Destin area. Bottom line, if you're looking for a couples-only romantic vacation, DO NOT miss the Henderson Park Inn.
