America’s Best Beer Gardens

"Sitting on eight acres of family‑owned farmland dating to 1916 with a taproom in a renovated 1860s barn, Henmick is family‑ and pet‑friendly, often animated by live music and food trucks and dotted with firepits, picnic tables, and open space for blankets; the property abuts federal land with access to nearby horse trails, making it a great stop for trail riders." - Adam H. Absolutely need to visit!! Wide selection or beers and local spirits. Two food trucks outside as well. Indoor seating at bar, table area in bar and separate room seating. Outside had patio seating with a lot of uncovered tables in the rock areas. Multiple fire pits with seating as well. House cat named Mittens, friendly just watch for signs of overstimulated by petting. Huge grass area in the middle and on the side area as well.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (7.6/10) Hendricks Brewing Co. is a beautiful spot just off North Old State in Delaware, OH. The beer selection is fantastic—plenty of variety and very reasonably priced. The property itself is stunning, with tons of open space to enjoy a drink and relax. Staff were super friendly and welcoming! However, there were a few things that took away from the experience. On a Friday night around 8 p.m., there were lots of unsupervised children running all over the place, despite signs asking that kids stay with adults. It would be great to see designated kid-free areas (both inside and out) to give adults a more relaxing experience. We were also disappointed in the food offerings. The food truck on-site didn’t look very appetizing, and we ended up going downtown for dinner instead. Also, it felt a bit understaffed—aside from the bar, it was hard to find team members elsewhere on the grounds. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would return, but we’re hoping for a few improvements to take the experience from good to great.

Google
10000/10!! We had such a great time at this brewery! The food truck was great, the drinks were really good, and the music made it such a vibe. There’s tons of space to sit, both inside and out, with spots in the sun or shade depending on what you want. It was also super family friendly. There’s a large play area for kids, and everything is spread out so it never felt cramped. The staff was super nice and made us feel welcome right away. One of my favorite parts was that it’s dog-friendly! Plus they have a bunch of board games you can use for free, which was a fun touch. Parking was easy too, both right there and across the street. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
A family friendly place. Good Brew. Pleasant atmosphere. It was a relaxing way to spend Saturday afternoon watching OSU football with friends.

Google
This place is a gem! Open space for the kids to play, great food truck options, pop up craft fair, and craft beer and specialty drink options for Mom and Dad. Family friendly. Bring your wagon, lawn chairs, and invite friends to enjoy a peaceful afternoon on a sunny day. We did! Thank you, Henmick Farm!

Google
My husband and I absolutely love this place. The cocktails are so good and my husband loves the beers. Such a beautiful setting and only minutes away from our house, which may be dangerous! Lol. And the staff is always friendly. They are always busy and the lines can be long, but we wouldn't take stars off for that. Just means they are doing well and will be around for a long time! And the pop ups are definitely a plus! All around great place 😀

Shayne P.

Google
Fantastic setting, ambiance, and design. The brewery has the largest outdoor environment I have ever experienced; in addition, it is probably the most family friendly brewery in the Columbus metro area. Staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. That being said, beer was only ok. Nothing was bad but nothing made us want to more, we tried seven varieties. If you’re at the outlet mall near by make the 12 minute drive for a visit!

Google
The property is beautiful and the atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately, the experience is overshadowed by how much time you spend waiting in line. The bar is always packed (great sign of popularity), but there never seem to be cocktail servers or staff circulating to help ease the demand. Instead, you have to hike across the property to the indoor portion and then you're stuck waiting in long lines just to get a drink. The food situation is even more frustrating. On multiple occasions, I’ve waited 30+ minutes at the food trucks only to find they were nearly out of food. On my most recent visit, I bought three meals and waited about 45 minutes before finally being told they didn’t have the ingredients to prepare them. The alternative offered was fries and a partial discount—not an equivalent substitution. (I recognize these are separate businesses, but it's part of the overall experience.) With such strong crowds, it feels like Henmick could and should put more effort into staffing and streamlining service. It's hard to enjoy time with friends and family when half the evening is spent fighting to get a beer or food. I see a lot of reviews complaining about too many kids running around unsupervised. That doesn't bother me, in fact I applaud their commitment to making it family friendly. Perhaps if parents weren't waiting in line half of the evening they could watch their kids closer. Long story short, please hire more staff/food trucks :) Would love to come back next time to more available service.

Yelp
Ample seating for millions of people I swear haha Went on Father's Day. Food trucks arranged in a nice area off to the side. Great local vendors. Live music, space for the kids to run wild. I was drinking the michelada, perfect on a hot day. The bartenders are mostly straight up, they're not there to impress, they're there to sling beer. Lines can get long. Sometimes there was a line to the restrooms, they were clean though! You can bring outside food, people bring outside chairs, it's nice because you can get your creature comforts and be there for a whole day
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
Exceptional spot on a hot summer day. We had beer, food truck delicacies, and hung out. It was a fun day. The Hazy Pale and Belgium were very tasty; and cold. The place was busy everywhere, but the cleanliness and maintenance were excellent. Thanks for both.
google avatar

Carrie W.

Yelp
This place is worth the trip. Nice atmosphere and great tasting beer! Highly recommend the Hazy Pale Ale!

Yelp
What a lovely brewery that I had no idea existed until my friends moved our meet up here one weekend. It's a picturesque farmhouse looking brewery, l could honestly see someone getting married here, that's how pretty it is. They have a fabulous outdoor space with firepits, plenty of picnic tables, and sometimes even food trucks. Inside everything is made of wood with skyhigh ceilings, a nice fireplace, a huge space filled with tables for socializing, and a cozy bar. The day I was there they had a good band playing and it just added even more flare. I was impressed before I even took a sip of anything. Now, I'm not a beer drinker. Going into it I assumed I wouldn't have great choices to chose from... goodness was I wrong. They had a dedicated list of craft cocktails on tap as well as non-alcoholic options. I went with their strawberry fields cocktail and holy cow, it was so good I had other friends at my table ordering it instead of a beer. Our local Wastershed vodka, strawberry liqueur, lime juice, soda water... and what surprised me the most, coconut syrup. Such a great combination of flavors, bravo. While I didn't eat at one of the food trucks that was there that day, my friends did and enjoyed very much (I don't remember the name). Lastly, the bathrooms were clean, the staff was nice, and there a ton of parking, which includes a huge lot right across the street. If you pay them a visit I have no doubt that you'll have a good time, whether you're a beer drinker or not.

Yelp
Okay so Henmicks markets themselves as a family friendly brewery and they are exactly that! Live music, lots of space to run around and at least 4 food options for families to choose from. My kids loved the big tires in the back and there is plenty of shade or sun options for outdoor seating. This place is going to be hopping all summer and we will be back. If you don't like their beer (which is very good) The cocktails are also stellar! I can't think of a more family friendly brewery. It was a great place to catch up with my friend and her boys.
google avatar

Keith B.

Yelp
Henmick is an amazing outdoor space with a huge indoor space. I've been for a few events - and they have plenty of parking across the street, albeit it can get muddy and full of puddles. The bartenders know their beer, and are incredibly friendly. And their beers - they're nailing the styles for em (I had their German lager, Pilsner, and Hefeweizen), and they have a rather large variety (including a cider). My biggest gripe? It's so far away! But it's definitely worth a visit on an event day, or even if you just want a nice patio to sip a good beer on.

Yelp
Love this venue. I live in Arizona, and we have lots of brewery venues. This is just a really neat place, out in the country, lots of space, really good beers, and the food trucks were great. How to come back my next trip. Great for kids, too.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink.... there is no better time than right now to be happy.
google avatar

Jim O.

Yelp
Great tasting beer, reasonably priced and great selection. What a great beer garden! The food trucks were great since we were hungry.
google avatar

Monica W.

Yelp
Went to visit because I saw their agenda on facebook. Said 3-4 food trucks would be there at 1, was gonna eat lunch and check out their location. The location looked awesome! about 60 picnic tables, a few firepits, a huge indoor seating area to hang out and meet people, and more. Bartender was super kind and also told us about the food trucks. Went outside to go eat and there was 1 food truck and it was NOT what I was looking forward to, or any of the ones she named. hope to return and see better.
google avatar

Yelp
Went to the pop up market at Henmick today with family and friends. Such a great spot to socialize and enjoy a drink. The indoor and outdoor spaces are large and easy to accommodate groups - cozy but you don't feel squeezed in, and not too loud. They have food trucks but you are also able to bring your own snacks! The drinks are also great - I loved their Ohio Apple Cider (hard cider), but other members of our group enjoyed a barrel aged beer (especially good if you enjoy bourbon), the blueberry smash cocktail and the whiskey honey cocktail. I'm excited to go back this summer and enjoy a drink by a fire pit! Would highly recommend!

Dave H.

Yelp
Stopped by here on the way home today. I had a flight of their pub beer, Saison, Belgian golden strong, and Dunkel. They were all outstanding. Lindsey provided great service, too. Loved the space, plenty of room, and they have a real fireplace. Highly recommend this brewery.
google avatar

Yelp
I really love this place. We went last night for the experience and returned this am for some 6 packs to go. Beer - they have quite a variety. IPA's, Hefe, Pilsnors, Dark, Sours. All are covered. There was not a beer that disappointed but a few I preferred over others. One should get a flight and compare Food - Food trucks are suck an awesome idea. We had a notion of a Mexican food truck, Woodfire pizza food truck, and Thai food truck. Service - two tales At night - controlled chaos. The place is crowded (Friday / Holiday Weekend) and family oriented. There are two lines. The staff was efficient and very nice especially with newbies like myself ordering a flight. Next day when they first opened - quiet and fast. I ordered a case to go to enjoy for the big game (ND bs OSU). You can tell people were starting to show up in the game at noon. Over all it was a warm friendly experience one should check out.

Yelp
Loved this brewery. They have a wide selection of beers and love that it's on a farm. The ambiance is really cool, with the barns and outdoor patios. While it's a bit of a drive north of the city, and it's not too bad and it's well worth checking out if you like the craft beer scene
google avatar

Rose Z.

Yelp
STUNNING property with amazing brews. So dreamy during the fall, and makes me feel so grateful something like this is only 30 minutes from us! We had several of their brews, none disappointed. Their property cat was also super sweet.
google avatar

Melanie S.

Yelp
Really nice brewery. It's a cool open space inside, with high ceilings and some rustic touches, with plenty of patio space out back, including lots of picnic tables and some space for lawn games. Pet friendly, too! As a non-beer fan visiting breweries, I really appreciated that they had some solid selections outside of their beer. Often DD's or non-drinkers are kind of overlooked at breweries - you can maybe get a coke or water, but other selections are limited. My friends enjoyed their beers, and for the rest of us, they had a great cocktail selection and a handful of wines as well. I very much enjoyed the Pineapple Whiskey Sour. It was fruity and refreshing on a sunny afternoon.

Lee M.

Yelp
Great brewery. Food Trucks are the only food. Good beer and wonderful staff. Well worth the stop
google avatar

troy l.

Yelp
could be a slice of heaven. great classic beers. 5 food trucks, different vendors with everything from ice cream to pastries and knick knacks. play area for kids, immaculate grass. then we found out the hard way they allow people to smoke outside. no limitation. even if there was - it's like that george carlin bit about the non smoking section in the airplanes back in the day being the same as the non peeing section in a public pool.... depending on the wind you will be peed / smoked on... would frequent this establishment again in bad weather and just sit inside but never again going to go to sit outside order a lot of $ worth of beer and food just to discover it is perfectly allowed for someone at the table next to us to light a cigarette.
google avatar

Miranda L.

Yelp
I visited Henmick on a Sunday when they had numerous vendors and three food trucks. Found space in the tent behind the brewery. Loud space but fairly high turn over of seats/people/tables. Given the amazing breweries in Central Ohio their beer was sub par. The 'sour' was horrible; think the smell of a hair perm. On the taste buds it was like someone tossed fruit in an okay pilsner. On the flip side their imperial stout was palatable. Staff were not good at managing the line of folks to get beer. It was a painfully slow moving line. (Bonus, there's a fire pit in the tent, downside it's at the tent's entrance and takes up a large amount of space. It's awkward to enter the tent. You enter behind large Adirondack chairs and have to try and avoid folks exiting. There's only one exit/entrance to the tent.)

Yelp
My sister talked us into going after getting our Christmas tree nearby. Henmick partners with Cackler Tree Farms around the holidays. When you buy a tree from Cacklers stop by Henmicks to get a discount on a drink! They have a beautiful barn with a bar, tables, and fireplace inside! On the weekends there are food trucks there offering food options. This would be a gorgeous space for a wedding reception, holiday party, or other group functions. The food trucks were a saving grace as we were starving when we stopped by. Their drinks are strong. This is a lovely little spot off the beaten path to enjoy time with friends.
google avatar

Dan W.

Yelp
Definitely one of the coolest places to hang out, chill and have some great beverages. This place is absolutely beautiful and serves up some really good beer. Besides tons of seating indoors, they have a beautiful yard with picnic tables, chairs fire pits and all kinds of spacious areas to hang out with friends or family. They also currently have food trucks on Thursdays through Sundays which help make for a complete lunch or dinner plan.
google avatar

Shelby C.

Yelp
A nice new brewery with a great atmosphere! Gorgeous facility and very family friendly. The beers were just OK in my opinion, all good but I didn't love any of the 4 I sampled. This is their 2 week open, so we'll definitely be back to try again. One puzzling thing we noticed is the variance in glass sizes. My sister and I both ordered the same beer and our glass sizes were very different-- same went for our husbands who both had Krug style glasses.
google avatar

Sherry C.

Yelp
Again, another place my mom and daughter checked out over Labor Day weekend. Really cool barn like house and a great patio with plenty of seating. They had beer, cocktails and wine. We tasted a couple of wines and chose one we liked and bought a bottle and headed out to a table outside. They had three food trucks there and were pretty quick on getting the food out. We enjoyed our wine and some grub on a pretty patio. What more would one want. Now this a bit of drive out past Delaware, but worth it.
google avatar

Leah R.

Yelp
I went here with my husband and 4 month old. It was for their year anniversary so they had bands playing all weekend. The rain was coming down hard, but the music and fun didn't stop inside! The view out their patio doors was incredible and I can't wait to come back when it's not raining! My husband had their lager and I had an IPA, both were very good beers! We then noticed their strawberry vodka drink on tap and both had one! Oh man, I'll be back for that if nothing else. Strawberry, coconut and vodka?! One had me feeling pretty good after the beer, so we split a second one, ha! It was great to find a family friendly bar with plenty of space to bring a stroller in. We will definitely be back! They had plenty of food trucks available but we didn't eat this go around. Next time we will!
google avatar

Alexa N.

Yelp
It's out there and a drive, but if you're in the area or have a chance to go you should check it out! I love the barn yard house style of the place. It's really big and they have great beer options along with a few cocktail and wine options. There isn't food there, but they have a couple food truck sitting outside. It was packed when we were here on a Saturday afternoon. They do have outdoor seating, but if it storms then it gets really packed inside. They offer beer flights too. There was a live local country singer for the night. Really cute and a chill vibe.
google avatar

Lance H.

Yelp
Great structure, good food truck presence, solid beer. However, today is St Patrick's day and the owner is refusing to play Irish music. Asked 3 bartenders and 2 runners. Everyone seems weird about even asking the owner who is here, but not willing to play Irish music on St Patrick's day. Weird
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
This place is stunning. The beers are good and they always have a great rotation of food trucks. They also host several events to support local makers and small businesses.

Linda C.

Yelp
Absolutely the best place to watch the eclipse! Or just go for a relaxing day for the atmosphere and a great tasting beverage! Staff are amazing and so friendly. They are constantly making sure the grounds and restrooms are clean. They assisted with parking and safety! The band Social Q was awesome! Thanks for an amazing day! We'll be back!

Yelp
This is a gem of a find. It's a picturesque farm turned into a brewery. If you think I'm Joking...we parked across the street in a grass lot and we had to wait for a combine to cross before we could enter. The grounds and the facilities are immaculate and incredibly well thought out. The beer offerings were diverse for a startup and on point. I had the Pilsner, Mexican lager, and IPA. On a 90 degree day the Pilsner and Mexican lager hit the spot and were delicious. The Pilsner was crisp and refreshing. The owner made his rounds to talk with customers. You can just feel the passion he had for his business and he came across as a genuine guy. I'd come back just to support his endeavors but the experience was the real draw. There were three food trucks located onsite. They were convenient to reach but they were never part of or interrupting the ambiance of the farm and community gathering in the central courtyard. The outside grounds where we sat were great for couples or families to relax and enjoy great company, clean country air and a cold brew....all with live music. Finally when I'm Evaluating a brewery to be on my short list they have believe in the 4 F's. Family , Friends, Food, and Fur babies. Henmick nailed it on all fronts. A+
google avatar

Patrick G.

Yelp
Outstanding new brewery, beautiful location and facility! Very busy, plenty of parking and seating inside and out. It's dog friendly. They have food trucks available if you're hungry. I tried their Saison and it was outstanding! I will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Tom P.

Yelp
So I finally made it out this new brewery, and it was worth the drive from Dublin. Lets start off the beer selection was very good and I will definitely come back to try other selections. They offer food from food trucks which are parked on the property, so you don't have to go far.You can eat outside In the beautiful patio area, or take it inside. The day Saturday that we went one of the owners was in patio racking rocks and picking up to ensure everyones visit perfect. There is an outside fire pit and a few games set up on the far end if thats what you want to do. The inside as you can see from the pictures is very big if you had a larger party with you. This place is out a bit, but don't yet that persuade you. It's a must see!
google avatar

Lauryn K.

Yelp
Visited for the first time yesterday, a great spot to enjoy a brew and beautiful fall weather! A bit of a drive from the city but it is worth it if you want to have a little escape for the day. Beers were all tasty and they had a big selection, if that's not your jam- there were a few mixed cocktails on tap as well. A large brewery that housed TVs for your sports viewing and plenty of seating indoors and out, and as the sun went down, you could settle in around one of their multiple fire pits as well. A side lot sat 3 different food trucks to choose from that change daily. Lots of families filled the place and dogs were encouraged outdoors. They had live music after 7pm, only downside was the sound quality in a space that large was pretty rough. Overall a great addition to the area!
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Best service. Amazing beer. Great atmosphere for hanging with friends, family, co workers, anyone! When it's nice out it's even better because of the outdoor seating, grass area, fire pits etc. So fun!
google avatar

Norma O.

Yelp
First time here and it's a big place . A great place for events as the inside is large and plenty seating outside also . They have beer and a small selections of wine and cocktails. There was three food trucks there so plenty of food , we came from Hilliard and Powell area so it was alittle bit of a drive . The place was very clean and well taken care of . I believe they have music at certain times. We will certainly go back some time
google avatar

Nik H.

Yelp
Beer was delicious and the band was great! If you like IPAs, they had a few on the draft list! The Hazy NE style IPA was awesome and so was the DIPA. There were 2 food trucks there and we got the tacos, which were very good. The only complaint I had was how long the lines were to get a beer. They didn't have servers so you had to go to the bar to get a beer, which caused long lines with about a 10 to 15 min wait for a beer. It was very busy though so I'm not sure it's always like that. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. The outdoor area was also dog friendly.
google avatar

Erin L.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful brewery with a lot of family history. Their beers are unique with a really impressive selection for a new brewery. They also have vodka and whiskey drinks on draft and wine to choose from. The outdoor area is very cozy with the fireplaces. Always a great selection of food trucks and very family and let friendly.
google avatar

Debra V.

Yelp
Attended a bridal shower here. A beautiful fireplace is the centerpiece of this brewery that opened July '21. A large room accommodated a lot of us, plus diners. There is another large table area in front of the bar that was full. Tables are picnic style with wide benches. Because the benches are connected to the tables you can't slide into them. Being awkward to climb over, I was pleased to have worn slacks and not a dress. A few high tops were scattered around. Grandma was in a wheelchair and that was fine for everything. For the shower the first drink was complementary, and then guests paid for others. There were lots of Henmick brew choices, and some wines. Most ladies ordered specialty drinks, and they were strong. The party brought their own charcuterie and dessert trays, I believe. The owner reserved two tables, but we used eight! Big shower!! I don't know any of the charges, but the venue was very nice. I recommend it. It is out in the country.
google avatar

Jean S.

Yelp
What a find! About 5 miles outside Delaware is this farm and brewery. They have a giant outdoor area. The brewery inside is beautiful with old beams and a barn feel. Lovely little stop on a lazy Saturday. We had a flight of 4 for $12.50. A pint is $6. Didnt eat, they have food trucks outside.
google avatar

Drew B.

Yelp
Live music and three food trucks on the day we went as well as plenty of outdoor and indoor seating at this great brewery. Their beers are tasty (try the Vanilla Porter!!!) and they also have local spirits and cocktails available as well. We will be back!
google avatar

Drue G.

Yelp
What an amazing location and brewery. Thanks for NOT having 12 IPAS on tap with two other options. SO many options for craft beer and cocktails. Awesome staff, great merch, tons of space, the food trucks were great. If I had to give it a negative was the parking lot. All gravel and had to walk through mud puddles. Only because it's been raining. Not great for a night out but that's being picky. We will be back for sure. One of the best breweries I've been to.
google avatar

m z.

Yelp
Simply perfect place for brews, views and space for the kids to roam. Plenty of covered seating which is a plus.
google avatar

Lori T.

Yelp
This is such a great place. We enjoyed being out on their beautiful patio. They are family and pet friendly. They are not only a brewery but have an awesome drink menu. They had food trucks and ice cream, a lot for everyone.

Chris S.

Yelp
This is a great establishment with the best employees. The owner is super nice and takes the time to talk to people and thank them for coming in. The drinks are top notch. Beer lovers - there are a ton of options. If you like beer, you will find a beer you like. Non beer drinkers, you will find something you like as well. Our kids love ordering the root beer and think they are cool drinking from a glass bottle. We are regulars and tell everyone about this place!
google avatar

Cortney M.

Yelp
This brewery recently opened up in Delaware and I could not wait to go and check it out. I was completely impressed with the grounds. The main area is inside of a barn and everything is spot on. Theres 2 huge rooms with lots of seating. There is also lots of space outside as well with a couple fire pits. Feel free to bring your own food or they also have food trucks. They have several beers and cocktails on tap. I tried a flight and enjoyed them all. Also tried the strawberry fields and watermelon patch cocktail. They were both good but I liked the strawberry fields the best. I was worried since the place is so new it might be really crowded but the place is so large people can spread out nicely. There is lots of parking on site so don't be worried about that either. You will not be disappointed coming here and I can not wait to come back.

Christina S.

Yelp
An amazing time was had by all. Great ambience. Good drinks. Def a place for families.
google avatar

Lindsay K.

Yelp
For months now we have wanted to go to HenMick ! We are so happy we finally got to go . We have been back 3 times. The ambiance is the best ! I love the options they have for food trucks on any basis. I love that they are open Thursday-Sunday and not all week. Makes it very special ! I enjoy talking to the bartenders and the vendors. It is a great little slice of heaven there. We will always go!
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
Beautiful landscape and fun atmosphere! My boyfriend and I decided to take a drive out to this brewery because we heard great reviews. The inside is spacious and they have outdoor seating as well! There's two fire pits and picnic bench seating. We bought a beer flight with 2 sour beers and 2 light beers (similar to a bud light or Miller light). We enjoyed each one! Would highly recommend to friends

Yelp
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of other Columbus Breweries and feel the country vibes in every sip visit Henmick! Easy parking and great ambience and the views!

Jeffrey H.

Yelp
Off the beaten path, this brewery is a hidden gem. Everything from atmosphere to hospitality is five star . Add to that a healthy mix of Belgian and American style Ales brewed on site. If you're going to drive up for this experience, bring a growler so you can take some home.
