At check-in, you walk up to the front desk with 2 robots behind the counter. You don't exactly interact with them, rather the screen. There seems to be an issue with the checkin process when you choose English. We watched as everyone who spoke Japanese had no issues with the self check-in, but anytime anyone chose English required a live person to come out to assist.
We had a total of 3 rooms all booked through Booking.com at the exact same rate. However, we all got very different rooms. I ended up with the smallest of the 3. My in-laws had the biggest with the most room to walk about the room. Mine with my wife and 5 year old barely had room for one person to walk around the whole place. If my wife was moving about the room, my daughter and I would have to jump on the bed. Very very tiny room.
I get it, we were in the business district, so most of the patrons are business people coming in mostly alone. What mattered most to me was that we had a clean place to stay. It just would have been nice to have space to unpack and not have to open and close our luggage to get stuff because there was no other place to put our stuff. We couldn't easily keep our luggage open the whole time because it would take up the entire walkway. If you can have a choice, try to get the 01 stack. The 10 stack may be the smallest.
