The grounds and surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful - and the area is very quiet, no traffic at all. Rowing boats for guests to use, you can row to a small island, and forest on the other side of the lake. I can imagine it's a great place with kids (when the weather is good). Room and restaurant seems dated. Our room looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 90's. Common lounge area was really nice though. There was an outdoor hot tub and sauna near the lake, but unfortunately they weren't open. We booked the private spa (indoor sauna and jacuzzi), but the sauna (primary reason for our booking) didn't work even though we called reception twice to get it fixed. The spa also was not up to date, with mouldy bits in the shower (not dirty as such, just old and run down). The food was okay, but not great. Same goes for the place in general. This place is fine - but too expensive. We come from Denmark and are used to high prices on hotels and food. But the quality here is not up to par with the price.

Went there for lunch. Good food and beautiful interiors. Restaurant is a buffet type. Walking around the lake is a nice bonus

A fabulous 5 star location we have visited several times. The food was very good but all 4 of us commented that the selection was reduced. 3 of us had a glass of wine. Again comments that it was a surprisingly small measure especially when we were charged 125kr a glass 4 stars this time instead of the usual 5 but we will be back.

Fin miljö, go mat, bra service!|Sweden at it's best, country side. Rooms are mostly lake view wich is very relaxing. The room itself is very clean but isn't newly refurbished. The food is amazing. Highly recommended to eat 3 course meal 👌

The price for the overnight stay is not in proportion to the quality of the room, which needs renovation. The evening menu was also not as expected given the high price. The same applies to the breakfast which is "OK" but you expect a lot more for the price you have to pay for the overnight stay. The surroundings were stunning. Wonderful nature that offered many excursion options. You did not really want to go from there in the beautiful summer weather. To recommend? No, not for these prices. If they would halve the price for a room and a three-course dinner, the answer would instead be "yes" and I myself would like to go here and stay for a whole week. On your own or with a relative

One night of our "Scandinavia Round" trip spent here. We were welcomed nicely to a fantastic classic building with amazing grounds and views over the lake. Picturesque and worth seeing. ||||The hotel clearly focuses on parties and conferences and this seems to detract from the service to individual guests. Dinner (food) was good, but with three large parties the service was a bit varied.||||We got a room out in the annex - we would have loved to experience the rooms described in other reviews, but pleasant and quiet it was.||||Overall a good experience but I suspect it could have been even better.

Average Swedish food, nothing really bad, nothing really good. Dessert consisting in this king of chocolate cake you can get at 7 Eleven. Good potential but should pretend to provide another experience according to the price and what they pretend to be (luxury kindish). Lunch buffet under Covid pandemi was really surprising. I know that there is no obligations, but taking initiative is not a bad thing. A service at the table would have been safer and for sure would have kept the two waitress occupied instead of standing and looking at us.
