HENRI Hotel Hamburg Downtown

Our family had a FANTASTIC stay at Henri Hotel, and would happily stay here again. Th location can’t be beat—minutes away from both the central station (for easy airport access) and the u bahn (for easy city traversing). Our room was clean, thoughtfully designed, and felt like just the right combination of European style and American convenience. We had two rooms—the smallest and the slightly larger—which the hotel connected for us. Definitely worth the extra money (if you can swing it) for the slightly larger room with the sitting area and extra table. The hotel provided free bottled water, free shampoo and body wash, and complimentary coffee and tea. The breakfast was amazing—so many options and a wonderful communal feeling. We spent four days visiting the Xmas markets, visiting the Halfen City and Miniatur Wunderland, and had a great time. I wish there were Henri Hotels in other cities outside of Germany as the room price and the distinctly non-touristy, unique feel were so special and really made the experience. Highly highly recommend.

My remarks may well not be very useful to you because I liked everything at and about the hotel. The commitment to design and style was not only attractive and pleasant, but appeared to be genuine and integral, rather than a gimmick or some kind of add-on. I also got the impression that the staff, especially those working in and with the kitchen for breakfast, genuinely enjoyed being there and worked hard to convey that impression. That is not only pleasant for the guests, but reveals a good deal about the hotel and its management. I look forward to staying there again.

🛌 comfortable matress, linings and pillows. 🫶 friendly service at the front desk. ☕️ coffee machine and kettle included in the room. 👍🏼 excellent location, near good restaurants, nice clothing stores, tourist attractions and subway station. Tourist friendly area. 🅿️ parking with a fee but non expensive. ♿️ accesible for wheelchairs and strollers.

Besides "the usual", this hotel offers a nice atmosphere with it's well chosen decoration and design details. In many hotels you'll find nice and friendly staff, but in this one you really feel welcome and at home. If you value a nice view from your room, then this might not be your first choice (however, I prefer cleanliness and working installations before a view).

Our stay early September was very pleasent. The location of the hotel is perfect and parking on the innercourt was excellent. Yes the entrance is small. But for our stationwagon it was ok. Maybe put the measurements somewhere. The rooms are nice. Different but very comfortable. The airco did its work while is was outside 27 degrees. And what i really like. The windows can be opened Allmost forgot: the breakfast was excellent And last but not least. The staff was very friendly.

We were greeted on arrival with the cheerless charm of entitled self importance by a woman whose condescending nature was at its peak . The room was ok though a bit grubby and worn in parts. The accumulated grime in the bathroom sink was a bit unpleasant and the bathroom floor seemed to have rotted away in areas under the floor covering. Not dangerous, just unexpected. The location is good, and you can easily get to the station or the Rathaus. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet despite the building works across the road. Would I stay there again? No. The hotel is pleasant enough but the staff ruin it with their poor choice of behaviour.

Fun, cool and nicely designed hotel with attention to detail. Caring staff and amazing German breakfast. Stayed twice in 2 different rooms and loved both. One drawback… there is no elevator to the lobby but a flight of stairs. That’s tough for heavy suitcases as we had them. So yeah people with mobility issues would have a hard time. Otherwise, great hotel.

It was a very nice experience staying at Henri in Hamburg. It has got our most valuable recommendations: 1) The location is fantastic, 2) the atmosphere in the lobby is unique and it was so cosy - almost like being home. 3) There is humour in their welcoming massages in the room, 4) the wifi works! (and it is fast). 5) The breakfast is very fine and 6) their common “maxibar” in the Lobby is a such a good idea: They trust people by leaving the consumption up to each guest. We love it. This is HYGGE Our only complaint that there was some noice from the ventilation but next night they switched it of so we couple sleep in silence. …. We will be back 😁
