Can not fault this wee place. Steak deal was delicious and such great value with bottle of wine and dessert for £50. 😳 Steak was so tender and cooked perfect. I was super impressed with the service the staff really did wait on us.all so friendly and very informative. Food was served very quickly. Well done guys! You nailed for us.

We went mid-week and tried the seafood chowder. It was amazing value for money, a lot of fish in it, I need to advise it was way too much food, and also a bit too heavy.

Food was amazing. Staff were very friendly. Only down side was the acoustics as you chatter of other patrons seems amplified. Not an issue if it's quite but on our visit there was a steady steam of large groups on food tasting tours. Not the restaurants fault tourists don't have respect for other people trying to enjoy the Sunday lunch is peace, but something to consider if the noise might be an issue.

My wife and I visited twice during our stay in Belfast. It's a good size catering for large groups or couples, but definitely worth booking ahead to ensure you've a table (the first night we chanced it and fell lucky on a table). The food is good, and we went for the steak deal on the 2nd night (bottle wine, 2 steaks and sides, desert for £50). Really good price. Live music on both nights from around 8pm. Glad we came across this place, as being English I was reading some of the reviews on other pubs and eating places and it appears resentment is still apparent in many places. No issues here though.

Absolutely loved this place after finding it on our first trip to Belfast. You can feel the history inside this old jailhouse! Great friendly staff, a wide selection of drinks and a 2 for 1 cocktail special during happy hour. What’s not to love?

Called in for a bite of lunch, and it didn't disappoint. They had an offer of 2 mains and a bottle of wine for £29.75. This is a good deal, but sadly, I was driving. The fish and chips were tasty. My wife had the Samson burger, and again, it was tasty, and the chicken was moist. At £15.50 a main dish I thought this was reasonable for dining in Belfast. The staff were polite and attentive. Thank you, Jade, for your service.

We had the Caesar salad and fish and chips. The salad with chicken was fine. The batter on the fish was soggy. The fish and chips were hot and tasted fine. Service is exceedingly slow. The pub is clean and looks to have been recently updated.

Yelp
Had a wonderful fish and chips meal with my partner for lunch on Friday. No reservations and we're seated right away. We started with water and a half pint. My water glass came dirty and had food stuck inside it. Got a new one, no biggie. We started with the bread platter, great bread but weird condiments. Should at least have butter or an oil. Kinda odd but bread was good. We both had the fish n chips, both were fried to perfection, chips were great as well. Service was great at the start but went downhill, hard to flag anyone down to pay. We wanted takeout containers but they couldn't find any. Place is dark and cozy inside, very cute.

Yelp
Henry's was an interesting stop on a quick pub crawl of Belfast. They were busy and had limited seating available, but I did enjoy their swanky atmosphere. We came for the food, but could not find a table and food wasn't served at the bar (where we were lucky to find seating). I ordered a grey goose and soda and it was served with schweps lemonade? Not my choice but I'm interested in the translation of how this drink is served! Staff was friendly and I bet this place is a great party venue later in the evening.

Yelp
Not easy to find but worth it. Classic bar with a too large television which kind of ruined the ambiance. Good burger, the chips are special. Good service and very good beer selection. The room is connected to the Gin Bar and the JJailhousr. Interesting setup.

Yelp
One of numerous Irish-American bars which proliferate Belfast these days. Often has entertainment in the form of live music and Irish dancing. Can't quite warm to Henry's though - drinks are overpriced, service from both bar and waiting staff is slow. Food menu has zero vegan options and extremely limited, bland, vegetarian offerings. They also have an irritating tendency to throw "Reserved" signs on most of their tables, even if you're already occupying one, which is rude. In short I wouldn't recommend Henry's, but if you do visit you need to plan ahead and book a table - otherwise you'll be turfed out after a couple of drinks to make way for people who may or may not turn-up...

Yelp
An interesting alehouse. Not terribly accessible. Given the historic nature of the pub's name and location not much is made of this. The pub has all the things one would expect to find and offers a good range of drinks and snacks. The drinkers are at least companionable. Sadly unremarakable.
