Henry's Puffy Tacos Express

Definitely try the Fajita puffy tacos!!! Rice was on point with just the right amount of green chili. Refried and Charra beans were good. Salsa bar is nice with green, red sauce with fresh Pico. They have a convenient drive through and super fast service! Food was ready before I got done getting chips and salsa. No wait time but we went at 0300 in the afternoon!

I had never had a puffy tacos till i moved here to San Antonio and since having them ive been obsessed and this place has the best !!! And this location to be exact , I’ve been to the other one and was disappointed. This location everything is on point the rice fire 🔥🔥🔥 some of the best rice ever , the refried beans delicious , I love the salsa bar the sweet tea , i come at least once a month 😅😅😅

Excellent authentic Mexican food, Best Puffy tacos in Town. Drove by after dropping off some friends from UIW vs UTSA game. Cheese dip with some added pico off the salsa bar makes it little more spicy. Orginal puffy taco plate filled my right up. Thank you, cant wait to bring the boys by.

This was my first time having a puffy taco and they were great. Honestly everything else on the menu was on par with the area. Nothing really stood out however everything was worth the money we spent on it. I would take my family here again.

If you’re in the mood for old reheated food this is the place. I ordered carne guisada platter and Full order spicy fajita nachos. They carne guisada had a funny taste. Wasn’t fully reheated . The rice was clumped together like they scooped it from what ever was available. The spicy full nachos. Oh my Where to start. They are Over priced and disgusting. The fajita taste like they spiced it up because its cheap meat or old meat. The nachos were extremely greasy. I called to let them know the order was so small I thought i was mistakenly given The half order because there were 9 maybe 10 chips max. The old lady who answered the phone told the small nacho order has 6 chips and the large has 12. They wanted me to send a picture to show the chef they made a mistake. According to her for educational purposes. They never offered me to come back so they could actually look at the order and correct these things. After all i had not eaten anything. But the stray cats outside eat garbage all the time so i put it outside next to the trash where it belongs.! Throughout the years the food and service has declined! I went through the drive through. Totally i spent almost $40 bucks. Whata waste of hard earned money. Don’t waste money for crummy reheated leftovers.

Been there a long time, and kitchen staff are tenured, especially the Head Chef, 30 years! But I'm told that the kitchen staff are all very experienced and have been with the restaurant for many many years and that explains why the food is 👍 👍 . Also the fresh roasted pepper and green salsa, sliced/whole pickled Jalapenos, warm fresh fried in house Tortilla Chips. Charro Beans and Rice are excellent as well. Great service at counter. No waitress

My family and I truly enjoyed our Dinner at Henry's the food was yummy!!! The staff was simply amazing very welcoming, it felt like going to a relatives house sitting down and eating a meal. The Puffy taco is a must have hands down. Service was quick! Casual vibes,you can feel the family history in the decor. How do I go back to eating regular tacos??? When we visit the state again we will be back no question.

Wow thank goodness we checked it out for ourselves and not relying on the bad reviews here. My husband and I didn’t try anything other than the puffy tacos for the first time and will have to say it was so delicious. Nicely puffed and steak fajitas was so soft and tender. Also a soupy bean side that was specially made so yummy! Not to mention our waiter was so attentive and very nice! Love their music too great atmosphere! Def be back thank you!
