Heraclis Ice Cream ΠΑΓΩΤΑ ΗΡΑΚΛΗ

Very popular hangout for Cypriots for coffee and a chat. On top of that its right in the middle of the busiest tourist street in Lefkosia (Nicosia). This of course generally means it is likely to be overpriced and not great quality. Its a creparie and not a Greek restaurant. Originally it just served ice cream and maybe that is where they should have stayed but.....they went for crepes. I have to say the crepes weren't bad, not the best, but the time it took to get them was just too long for me. Overall, prices are ok but you can get much better value for Greek food elsewhere in the same road. Recommended for a coffee and the excellent baklava....and a crepe if you really want one!

I had cake and coffee here, which were perfectly fine, while I did some work and made use of their wifi. But the star of the show was without doubt the ice-cream. The texture isn't too creamy, instead more refreshing. But the cool thing is the flavours - I tried mastica gum and rose along with the more standard bubble gum. Service was always friendly.

My ice cream both flavors were crumbly and crystallized. While the taste was ok the aforementioned texture means I won’t come again

It was a real joy to be able to taste ice cream from this place with history. The ice cream we chose was very good and had an acceptable price.

Old established family business now run by the third generation. I popped in here for an Ice Cream only. Two choices either the classic or the gelato. The latter is more Italian style and creamier. I opted for the gelato,excellent flavours with good intensities and not over sugared and overly sweet. Ice cream is self service from the well laid out display. Staff know their product and will allow a small sample if you are undecided on a flavour. I had a conversation with the owner who explained that they only use 100% natural ingredients. The milk is always from the island as are most of the fruits are local from small farms when in season. They even freeze local fruit to use when out of season to ensure the continuity. Other more exotic fruits/chocolate/etc they carefully select from trusted suppliers that they have been using for years. You can sit inside or outside and as It's on the pedestrian area on the way to/from the ledra street border crossing I opted to sit outside watch the world go by whilst enjoying my gelato. Price/quality ratios are good and overall cost dictated by the number of scoops you choose I'll be going back. Worth a visit.

Ice cream shop on the main street leading to the border crossing with the Turkish part. Pancake delicious, with ice cream, fruit, filled with Kinder Bueno topping 😍 Recommended place. Service very friendly 🙂

Terrible service. Bad ice cream. This cafe serves a bit of food and drinks. It's quite big as there is a large ar a inside with some games but noone uses them. Waitress got the order wrong but fixed one thing and deemed it enough.

We had their banoffee waffles with 2 scoops of hazelnut and chocolate orange gelato ice cream. Good coffee as well. Highly recommended
