Herb Garden Restaurant and accommodation

I only booked while driving from Windhoek. It was difficult reception but the staff managed to book my room and prepare dinner in time for my late arrival. They were friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and the shower good. A very easy stay. Thank you!

Me and my Wife had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The Gemsbok fillet was absolutely divine - tender, flavorful, and truly "to die for." The quality of the dish was outstanding, and the service was warm and welcoming. I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back to dine here again when visiting Springbok. Your restaurant has earned a loyal customer in me! Thank you for a wonderful meal. I look forward to returning soon.

This place is fabulous! A hidden gem! The staff is kind and helpful. The food is amazing and the room we stayed in is cozy, clean and comfortable. The shower was great after a long, dusty, 4 wheel drive road! Thank you to all the staff for a super comfortable stay.

Went for dinner on quick business trip. Although the lamb chops were finished, one can understand why. The steak I had instead was wonderfully prepared at a very good price. Service was friendly, efficient and almost too fast. Good drink selection and informal atmosphere has caused me to want to go back and show the family.

Despite a bit of a hiccup at check-in (the doors were closed and there was a booking.com mix-up), the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful once we reached him on his mobile. He quickly sorted everything out, and we were pleasantly surprised by what awaited us! Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, complete with a little kitchenette (with a percolator, no less!), a large bathroom, and even a glass of sherry to warm us up – such a thoughtful touch. The TV came with Netflix too, perfect for a cozy night in. For the price we paid, we were honestly blown away by the comfort and quality. A great place to stay when travelling to or from Namibia. It’s just a pity the restaurant was closed (it was a Sunday), but we’ll definitely stop by again next time we pass through Springbok!

The food is hit or miss, the toilets are almost always wet and reeking of urine, and some of the staff are uncomfortably forward. We’ve been regular visitors in the past, but the decline in standards is undeniable — from inconsistent service to closing early and practically chasing customers out. What used to be enjoyable has turned into a disappointing experience. At best, this place has become a rundown watering hole, and definitely not worth the time or money.

We went to the Herb Garden restaurant. The pictures are a bit misleading, so is the name. It’s a pub with new menu items. Food and service is good, but the pictures and menu on google were the reason we went there, and it doesn’t exist anymore. We don’t talk about the bathroom!
