Herbal Hotel (Wrocław, Poland) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Once a 17th-century Franciscan monastery, Herbal Hotel is one of Wrocław’s oldest buildings with its vaulted ceilings, ancient well and cloistered corridors which exhibit centuries of history. Over time, it became home to Elizabethan sisters, a wartime ecumenical circle, a pharmacy garden, and even student housing. Today, it holds 66 elegant rooms, each shaped by the building’s original structure, some with soaring ceilings and garden views. Carefully restored, never overdone, Herbal honors its past without getting stuck in it. For guests who value architecture with a story, and still want crisp sheets, it’s a rare find." - Tablet Hotels

Great location, it sits back from the street so you don't hear any noise from passersby. It's decorated really nice, you really feel like you're staying in a high quality hotel. The staff are amazing, breakfast is great, all round amazing hotel.

Fantastic value for a great quality hotel. One nights stay as part of a city break. Location was nice and quiet and only a short walk from the centre. Comfortable bed and clean facilities and well maintained. Will be back if we we return to Wroclaw

The hotel is a nicely renovated old monastery right outside the old town. It's only a 20 Min. walk to the train station and just 5 Min. to the old town.|Our room was nice and clean, very spacious. Especially the bathroom was very nice.|Unfortunately there was no AC and no mosquito nets outside the windows, which will be a real issue in the summer.|The breakfast was alright, with a good selection even with different dietary restrictions.|The staff was overall friendly, if a bit reserved. ||We paid a visit to the wine cellar, which lacked a little bit of atmosphere. There was a lot of staff just hanging out, looking at their phones. Despite us being the only guests, it took a while to be served and even longer to get our food. It was delicious though.|The drinks menu was not up to date and the drinks we wanted were not available anymore. If you only offer a handful of cocktails in the first place, they should at least all be available.|When guests arrived who were clearly relatives of one of the staff members, they received a level of service we would have liked to receive ;)||Another thing I'd like to add: we stayed for 2 nights and both nights we were woken up between midnight and 1 am to someone (a hotel staff member) throwing bottles in the trash, just outside our window. Bottles. In the middle of the night. Under a guest room window. Surely there has to be a better time for this.||Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel for the location and room design. But I can't help and point out that there are a few service kinks to be ironed out.

Excellent hotel, tastefully refurbished whilst retaining the old architectural features. Very friendly staff, good sized rooms, decent continental breakfast. The hotel and rooms are very clean and it is so conveniently located, just a five minute walk to the Old Town square. I would definitely stay here again should I return to Wroclaw. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city

Firstly, the hotel is well-located. Close to the old town and a short tram ride from the main train station. The area the hotel is in is quiet and hotel is set back from the street meaning we didn't notice any noise from outside.||The hotel is in an old monastery building and they have kept a lot of the features of the original building. Each room is created from two former monastic cells and outside the room the old signage from those rooms has been preserved.||Our room was large enough and again had the old ceilings from the monastery building. The bathroom was enormous. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet and dark enough to get a good night's sleep.||Breakfast was good and not too busy when we were there. The strange thing was that no one checked room numbers at breakfast so if your room rate didn't include breakfast then it is likely you could have breakfast and no one would no. As the reception is tucked away in a corner anyone from Wrocław could walk in and have breakfast without staff knowing.||The only real negatives were a lack of air conditioning, no in-room safe and no fridge in the room. It was not hot when we were there but the hotel is well heated meaning the rooms get warm at night. An in-room safe is important as without there is nowhere to secure valuables and travel documents. A fridge is always nice to keep drinks cold and, in some cases, to keep medication.||Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Herbal Hotel and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a unique place to stay in Wrocław.

Possibly the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Oozing in history, beautifully restored and just SO quiet! You have to see this place to truly understand just how amazing it really is. What a find! The staff go out on their way to help and I am still in shock at how big the rooms and bathrooms were! Without doubt I would stay here again if visiting wroclaw. Excellent location too, so close to the main areas.
