Firstly, the hotel is well-located. Close to the old town and a short tram ride from the main train station. The area the hotel is in is quiet and hotel is set back from the street meaning we didn't notice any noise from outside.||The hotel is in an old monastery building and they have kept a lot of the features of the original building. Each room is created from two former monastic cells and outside the room the old signage from those rooms has been preserved.||Our room was large enough and again had the old ceilings from the monastery building. The bathroom was enormous. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet and dark enough to get a good night's sleep.||Breakfast was good and not too busy when we were there. The strange thing was that no one checked room numbers at breakfast so if your room rate didn't include breakfast then it is likely you could have breakfast and no one would no. As the reception is tucked away in a corner anyone from Wrocław could walk in and have breakfast without staff knowing.||The only real negatives were a lack of air conditioning, no in-room safe and no fridge in the room. It was not hot when we were there but the hotel is well heated meaning the rooms get warm at night. An in-room safe is important as without there is nowhere to secure valuables and travel documents. A fridge is always nice to keep drinks cold and, in some cases, to keep medication.||Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Herbal Hotel and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a unique place to stay in Wrocław.
