Went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, stayed for a few days. While the place is almost perfect, there are some small issues to improve the experience and make it unforgettable. ||||Pros: ||-The place is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are stunning, the lake is fantastic - it has a feel of absolute bliss and serenity; ||||-The decor of the rooms (and the hotel) is tasteful and overall the estate looks amazing; ||||-The dinners in the Werbena Restaurant were flavourful and delicious. If there are not enough guests for a buffet, you will be served a 4-course set menu (which was fantastic on our first day and OK on the second.) ||||Unfortunately, the swimming pool was closed during our stay due to a malfunction. Shame, as it looked great! In lieu of compensation, the hotel offered us free use of their water equipment (kayaks, boats, solemarans) and bikes. ||||The cons: ||-Standard ("Comfort") room was not equipped with the herbal toiletries set that the Comfort Plus room had; both rooms could also use a kettle for some evening tea/coffee; ||||-AC cannot be turned off completely (e.g. for the night) - you can turn it down for a while but it will start working again after some time - problematic for light sleepers; ||||-Breakfast was not as great as anticipated - no scrambled eggs, omelettes or bacon; sunny side up eggs were overcooked. That being said, there was quite a choice of other things (sausages, local deli meats, cheese, delicious bread!); || ||-There was no beach with a gentle slope in the water; moreover, there were weeds right in front of the pier. It makes the swimming experience less enjoyable as the weeds keep touching you as soon as you enter the water; ||||The staff, however, was extremely nice. Mr Jakub, the receptionist, was especially helpful with our queries - he also saved us from a malfunctioning AC - thank you so much, sir! ||||Overall, the hotel deserves an 8 out of 10 - some small improvements and it will be perfect! We will definitely visit again!
