A peaceful place, great sauna facilities, very clean. We enjoyed food either from the menu (pics are added) or breakfast.

This was a wonderful spa resort. Basically, it's a 19th-century manor house converted into a spa resort. The grounds are extensive and beautiful on the banks of a large lake. The hotel provides lots of places to relax as well as boats and bikes to hire. There are a few things that need improving to give it the ultimate wow factor. We will come to these in a bit, but first here are all the positives... PROS: 1. Beautiful decor and large deluxe twin room with balcony 2. Excellent spa facilities and swimming pool 3. Extensive range of activities available to book, including the unique opportunity to walk alpacas around the ground. There is even special alpacha squad merchandise available to buy 4. Fresh herbs are grown in the gardens and used in the kitchen. They even provided us with a free pack of seeds to take home and plant later 5. Room service available between 10pm and 6am every day. We opted for the 80pln meat and cheese platter, and it was huge 6. All the buildings are interconnected by underground tunnels, which is great during the cold winter months 7. There is even a pillow menu in the room to choose more of a variety of pillows. 8. The staff were very friendly, also gave us warm greetings and the waiter in the restaurant was extremely friendly and professional. He also made some great cocktails in the bar. 9. A very tasty and extensive breakfast; one of the best I've had in Poland. CONS: 1. The restaurant was very disappointing for the price. We paid almost 500pln and the quality of food was nothing special. Also, there was no mention of allergies, and my partner suffered an allergic reaction to the tomato salad as there was sunflower seed in the ingredients, and this had not been mentioned in the menu. The waiter also forgot to serve us a beer that we had ordered. He did make up for this by providing us a free round of cocktails later, which was commendable and really good of him. 2. Our extra sofa bed was not made in the room, and there was no mention at check-in that we had to ask by a certain time for it to be made. When we did eventually ask for it to be made it was too late so had to make it ourself which is fine but not when you consider the fact that we had to pay an extra 300pln for this privilege. 3. The beach bar closed very early at 5.30pm everyday and it was often unmanned, which meant we had to call the reception a few times and ask them to send the waitress down. 4. The main bar closed very early at 10pm, and the terrace and grounds were not lit at night, which meant it was very dark. Would have been much better to have extended the bar time to at least 11pm or midnight and have some lighting in the grounds. 5. For a hotel of this standard, it was rather tacky having Pepsi branded umbrellas So, as you can see, it was a really good experience, and we would love to return, but it does need to improve a few things to make it a truly outstanding hotel.

Wonderful location and hotel itself|Unfortunately not every part of the buildings and surroundings is accessible by buggy. Theoretically there are elevators, but in practice there were places our of reach.|Very loud shutting main doors made sleeping hard as our room was located right next to them. |Definitely few things you would not expect for the high price charged.|My spa treatment was cancelled last minute and I wasn’t offered any reasonable replacement. |Swimming pool is accessible only for children over 3 years old which was another downer.||Very polite and helpful staff and tasty food in the restaurant.|The lakeside is wonderfully arranged.

Went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, stayed for a few days. While the place is almost perfect, there are some small issues to improve the experience and make it unforgettable. ||||Pros: ||-The place is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are stunning, the lake is fantastic - it has a feel of absolute bliss and serenity; ||||-The decor of the rooms (and the hotel) is tasteful and overall the estate looks amazing; ||||-The dinners in the Werbena Restaurant were flavourful and delicious. If there are not enough guests for a buffet, you will be served a 4-course set menu (which was fantastic on our first day and OK on the second.) ||||Unfortunately, the swimming pool was closed during our stay due to a malfunction. Shame, as it looked great! In lieu of compensation, the hotel offered us free use of their water equipment (kayaks, boats, solemarans) and bikes. ||||The cons: ||-Standard ("Comfort") room was not equipped with the herbal toiletries set that the Comfort Plus room had; both rooms could also use a kettle for some evening tea/coffee; ||||-AC cannot be turned off completely (e.g. for the night) - you can turn it down for a while but it will start working again after some time - problematic for light sleepers; ||||-Breakfast was not as great as anticipated - no scrambled eggs, omelettes or bacon; sunny side up eggs were overcooked. That being said, there was quite a choice of other things (sausages, local deli meats, cheese, delicious bread!); || ||-There was no beach with a gentle slope in the water; moreover, there were weeds right in front of the pier. It makes the swimming experience less enjoyable as the weeds keep touching you as soon as you enter the water; ||||The staff, however, was extremely nice. Mr Jakub, the receptionist, was especially helpful with our queries - he also saved us from a malfunctioning AC - thank you so much, sir! ||||Overall, the hotel deserves an 8 out of 10 - some small improvements and it will be perfect! We will definitely visit again!

We stayed here over new year, from 30.12.2019 until 1.1.2020. We expected a relaxing holiday in a quiet atmosphere. Here what we experienced: ||Location and Infrastructure:|The Hotel as such is very nicely located on a little lake. The buildings and the garden/park is beautiful and romantic. The SPA is relatively small (and basic) but nicely done. We liked the location a lot.||The room:|We were in the new building on the side in front of the lake. The room was nicely (modern) decorated. The TV is much too small compared to the distance from the bed. And the rooms are very very noisy! One hears every step from upstairs and from outside the corridor. And since guest meet and sit on the chairs in the corridor, it is very noisy in the building until midnight. The building does not have hotel standard regarding acoustic. Room service was also not appropriate for 4 star (beds were not made properly). ||The service:|Overall we were disappointed with the service. Staff was not really friendly, did not pay attention and seemed not motivated (maybe not well educated). The receptionist was even quite unfriendly. The bar was most of the time not occupied. ||The food:|Over all okay-isch. The new years dinner was disappointing because until the plates reached our table, the food was cold. ||We travel a lot, private and for business and we see many different hotels. So compared to our experiences with other hotels and the experience made during our stay, we will not come to that hotel again. Mainly because we were disappointed from the service / staff and the noisy room.|||||||

We stayed for a couple of nights at the start of September.||The spa is great, the restaurant is excellent and the rooms are clean, smart and well-equipped. In the restaurant they serve al-a-carte, or tasting menus of varying sizes. The chef is good, and the service decent. Drinks selection is fine, and the house wine is worth a try. Breakfast was plentiful, and had a wide-choice.||If you get good weather then the hotel is situated in fantastic grounds - plenty of green, a great lake and peace-and-quiet.||Well worth a visit, and we will be back.

The surrounding of the hotel is perfect - a lot of greenery/trees/water.||The room we got is overlooking the lake and has a huge balcony. The furnishing of the room is modern and looks expensive, though the details might have been taken care of. The room itself (though not the smallest in the offer) is quite small (especially when we were forced to eat breakfast & dinner in the room due to covid) and the same size is applicable for a really tiny bathroom. The mattres in our bed was extremely soft - definitely not a medium one (too soft for us as we sleep on the hardest available at home). The room itself as well as the corridors, reception etc. look really nice and modern.||The SPA is wonderful - great massage and other treatments. Although the saunas were closed due to covid, we enjoyed jacuzzi a lot as well as the spectacular view from the pool/jacuzzi.||The restaurant itself was closed due to covid and all meals were served to our room - the amount and the quality of food were really great. The chef should be really proud of himself/herself. Apart from the hotel's surrounding, the meals is definitely the greatest advantage!||The staff was really helpful and friendly and addressed all our concerns during our stay to make it a memorable visit.||We will definitely come back to Herbarium, but probably during late spring/summer when the surrounding area will look even greater than in March :)
