Herberton Wild River Caravan Park

Only suggestion would be to add air conditioning to the rooms in cabins / units for comfort. Cool enough outside but can be warm and stuffy inside. Plus having window open increases noise from neighbours and chance of bugs coming in. Additionally, as a pet friendly place, a gate for the outdoor patio area and mesh or something for the bottom of the partitioning wall between the courtyards to keep the dog outside in a contained area. Lastly, the security screen door lock for security and to help with keeping the room cool if air conditioning isn't feasible. Otherwise, would recommend this place if staying in Herberton.

We stayed with HWRCP for 2 nights in September 2024. Twin room was awesome. Recently renovated and very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds with a small kitchenette with all the comforts of home. Owners were very friendly and always up for a chat. A great central location to visit surrounding attractions. Herberton is a lovely little town. Loved the flowers everywhere. Great vibe! We would definitely stay here again. Value for money and terrific location. Thank you 😊

Unpowered site was great and quiet. Camp kitchen well set up with equipment and small tables to sit around. Amenities clean and hot strong showers. Lots of space to get changed. Good library of books and DVDs. Easy walk to town and the historic village and mining museum. All worth a visit

We originally intended to spend 2 night at this caravan park, which quickly turned into 4 nights. The park is peaceful and very tidy. Amenities are clean and comfortable and include ensuite bathrooms, toilets and laundry facilities. The camp kitchen is really cool. Caretaker is very friendly and helpful. Location is great for access to Herberton Historical Village, the Tablelands and Irvinebank.

We just spent 4 days at the caravan park with our 3 dogs and 2 cats. We were on site 22 where we put our screen house OZ tent to contain all our pets. A dream. Loved the amenities and the care taken by the owners in growing trees and even making a dump point attractive. We will be back. Stayed 2 nights customer service fabulous, camp kitchen had everything you would need, shower was hot, all amenities sparkling clean. Loved it here

The day we arrived to set up the camper trailer was as wet as they come. The managers found us a site that was perfect, despite being almost booked out. There is a great camp kitchen and on the side of it is a lounge area where you can light a fire if you want. The amenities are clean and spacious.|I cannot speak highly enough of the managers there - they went completely out of their way to assist, and were so friendly and helpful that i can't wait to go back in dry weather again. |Very close to the Herberton Historic Village - another personal favourite place. |Definitely recommend staying here

Great caravan park, camping (tent) area is great. Toilet and shower blocks are clean, camp kitchen is spacious with plenty of cooking appliances available. Owners are friendly and helpful. If your kids are adventurous they will love playing in the bush at the back of the camp grounds. You can have a little camp fire at your camp site or you can light a camp fire in the designated shed.
