"Bumping along the unpaved road to get here, you'd be forgiven for wondering if you were in the right place. But push on across the river and up the hill and you'll be rewarded by leafy green grounds and a charming welcome from Swiss-Portuguese owner Marta and her family. She'll show you around, then leave you to swim in the azure pool, or read a book on your private terrace and gaze across the valley to Aljezur. With only 4 rooms, this sweet guesthouse never feels busy or crowded. There will always be drinks in the honesty bar, a supply of fruit, cakes and biscuits on the sweets table, a quiet corner to watch the sun set, and a lounger by the pool with your name on it. A huge added extra is a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant down the road (Gulli), owned by one of Marta's friends, Luigi. Come morning, a stunning breakfast spread surpasses all expectations in a chic, French-style dining room. It's all very easy. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat! This tranquil stay is set amongst the beautiful hilly forests off the west coast of Portugal, just a short drive from dozens of unspoiled beaches enjoyed by many surfers. Julio and Marta are such wonderful hosts, and their kindness made for a welcome stay. The breakfast is perfect to start the day, and we recommend mixing up taking it on your terrace and the restaurant out the back, which has a wonderful view of the estate. Make sure you ask Julio for recommendations of where to eat!

Thank you Julio & Marta for such a pleasant stay (again). Location is amazing, very close to all beaches and plenty of restaurants. The hotel is a quiet and peaceful place embedded in a wonderful garden!

We had the great pleasure of spending 3 nights of our holiday in Martha and Julios home. Having had coffee on their scenic terrace with a view on their garden paradise, made me a calmer person. I would defenitely recommend it to those who are looking for a quiet place during their holiday, where you forget about the hustle and buzzle of everydays life :)

We stayed here three nights and had an absolutely lovely time! Martha & Julio & their lovely dogs are very kind and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed every day and can only recommend to stay here. Rooms are very nice. Breakfast is very good and the whole area is just beautiful!!

What a beautiful place! We spent a week there and felt completely relaxed. My personal highlights: the wonderful breakfast served on our private terrace and the extremely polite and friendly hosts who are always striving to ensure their guests are satisfied. Everything on the property seems thoughtfully coordinated. It's the perfect setting to recharge. I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Herdade Quinta Natura. If we are in the area again soon, we will definitely return.

The hotel is beautifully situated on a small hill away from the main road. The entire hotel complex is very well maintained and has been designed with great attention to detail. Our absolute highlight was the very tasty, varied breakfast and the very friendly hosts Marta & Julio, who were able to give us good recommendations for excursions and made sure we're having a great time. We could usually reach beautiful beaches and hiking routes from the hotel in just a few minutes by car. The perfect location for a relaxing vacation!

The most amazing place! We had such a top stay at Herdade Quinta Natura in the most tranquil setting overlooking the Aljezur hills. We received fantastic hospitality - Julio and Marta put on a nicely presented breakfast each morning and were welcoming and friendly throughout. Lovely to have access to a pool, the perfect sunny spot to relax in the well-maintained gardens. We found the location ideal for making the most of the outdoors and the wonderful nature on the doorstep. Aljezur, a short drive away had plenty of good options for dinner. Also conveniently located between Sagres and the surrounding beaches, as well as Odeceixe further north. 100% recommended.

as a flight attendant I travel a lot and stay a lot at all kinds of hotels and apartments. staying here in this beautiful house surrounded by nature was my highlight on my trip to portugal. the rooms were beautiful and smelled so nice. the breakfast was incredible with all sorts of fresh fruit and bread but the best part was the kindness and hospitality of marta and julio. we felt at home from the moment we got there and it was like a few days of peace and wellness away from our busy work life. can only recommend this place and we will definitely be back next time! :)
