Where to go for heritage brands, artisanal cafes and handmade goods in Taipei - SilverKris

"Housed in a five‑storey brick building constructed in 1950, this bakery blends vintage charm (antique trunks and family cabinets) with modern touches (white marble countertops) and offers a menu that fuses Californian and Taiwanese flavors — examples include a pink guava chiffon cake made with local guava jam and a seasonal mulberry cheese tart — all designed to preserve memories while refreshing tradition." - Dana Ter

I love this place! It’s literally my favorite place to get a simple hot turkey and cheese and is truly comfort food. The staff is incredibly friendly. The place is very inviting it kind of reminds you of Bridgerton if you have ever seen that. Great place to have some tea and scone. Everything about this place is a gem. The food the owner, the location. Top notch.

I rarely leave reviews unless a place I’ve visited was exceptional in more ways than one and has really left a mark. And wow, Heritage Bakery & Cafe is easily one of those places! I’ve been in four times since discovering this place and the ladies behind the counters haven’t yet missed a beat in delivering bright and cheerful smiles along with friendly service. The food have been fresh. Their Belgian Waffle was the best I’ve ever had, light and airy, topped with fresh berries. Their greens were crunchy and crisply sweet. Their cheesecakes were just the right amount of sweet. But the one thing that really first made its mark on my initial visit was that they use unbleached paper tea bags (in which it seemed they use a custom, hand blend of teas), I hope you guys never stop doing that! As for the atmosphere, they bring back the traditional, New Englander tea and china wares, along with their heritage style dining chairs and tables to top it off with! How cute and quaint is that. This cafe is a must visit for anyone who values top-notch service and fresh foods and bakery items.

I ordered a cake for my partner's birthday and it is amazing! I got chocolate buttercream and a confetti cake. My partner loves it! I definitely will be ordering again. The density and moisture of the cake is perfect. The buttercream isn't overwhelmingly sweet amd the chocolate flavor is really impactful with the confetti cake. Extremely good quality. I was not able to eat it right away because my partner had to house sit and it kept perfectly well for two days before we ate it. The service was also amazing! The staff were so nice and the atmosphere of the bakery was so welcoming that I have already started planning return trips! Thank you everyone who helped make my partner's birthday wonderful!!

Google
Growing up, we would always handmake our birthday cakes because, despite the amateur look, the cracks, and the sloppy icing, you got the most wonderful flavors. With heritage I got the flavors of a homemade dessert but with an aesthetic both beautiful and homey executed in a way that I never could (as an amateur baker myself). I am not a cake person, but I can say that I absolutely loved their cake. The smooth ganache, the moist rich cake, the vanilla custard, and the bursts of fresh fruit. It was my favorite boston creme donut in cake form. Thank you so much for the creative, delicious dessert of my dreams. We are already making plans to come back for our 1 -year and re-ordering a mini boston creme cake. (Note the donuts are from the venue - I dont know if Heritage offers donut)

Google
This place is a literal haven. We’ve never had a bad experience here. The people are so friendly and the atmosphere is just perfect. The food is really good and usually comes out pretty quick. It’s not a huge menu but it’s easy to find something you’ll like, made with quality ingredients. You can tell they’ve curated a menu and bakery selection with a specific intention/vision and it’s all done with a lot of love. You won’t find a bad vibe here unless you bring one with you. It’s connected to the visitor’s center where there’s really well kept bathrooms and interesting little information kiosks. The cafe definitely gets busy but it’s tucked away in such a way that you can usually get in even if everywhere else is packed. It’s a smallish space, but it’s double the size if it’s nice enough to sit outside, and honestly it’s amazing how well they serve everybody from the small kitchen. The tropical tea will bring you back from the dead. Simply put, this place is phenomenal and the people running it are actual magic.

Google
The best breakfast in town. We ordered a tea party we got a super cute antique tea pot with the cups , sugar and honey. They were so nice when I asked for 2 additional tea bags. . Everyone is so sweet and friendly. Good entertainment , cozy and beautiful. There avocado toast is something else. Another favorite of mine is there salmon loks breakfast bagel sandwich. YUMMY. I tried almost all there food and can I say I'm happy with there menu. They also have homemade cakes and delicious desserts

Google
Absolutely LOVE! This has become our favorite place to Stop When on roadtrips! Food is fantastic and all the baked goods are phenomenal!! We drive way out to the way to come here!! Lovely Staff and atmosphere as well! Be sure to go earlier in the day as they are very popular and sell out quickly!

Google
This bakery and cafe is a must stop! It's so cute, giving a cottage-core vibe. The tea set was so cute. We had the masala chai for 3 people; it was delicious! The crossiant sandwich was so good and filling. We also had the apple toast, which was tasty. The apples were sliced so thinly! A red velvet cake slice with buttercream frosting was a nice treat; all the bakery items looked appetizing. The workers were so kind and helpful, genuine people. We even met a neighborhood cat named Mitten, who was very sweet. Mitten desperately wanted to come in, so one of the workers put a cup of water out, which was so thoughtful. (No, Mitten did not come inside).

Yelp
Love a classic afternoon tea that won't break the bank? Heritage Cafe is the place. Enjoyed the Full Tea, which included unlimited tea, 3 savory sandwiches, 3 sweets, and a fresh generously sized scone (today's flavor was lemon and ginger). Seriously, these were some of the best scones I've ever had - crispy sweet outer texture, soft and fluffy on the inside, no crumbly mess like other scones. Wide selection of teas to choose from - I picked the lightly fruity Lady Grey, my husband the warm and toasty Genmaicha. And the savory sandwiches were a step up from the basic white bread standard - roast beef on a pretzel bun, tuna on a croissant, open faced cucumber, chicken with roasted red pepper spread. A lovely way to spend a late morning or early afternoon in downtown Harrisonburg.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant on a beautiful day in Fall. The weather was so nice that we could sit outside. The customer service was outstanding and super friendly. I ordered chicken pot pie, a little key lime pie bite and sweet tea. The crust on the chicken pot pie was exceptionally tasty and the pie bite was just the right size. You don't feel like you are downtown. The serving pieces were vintage and really helped capture the vibe. Because the food was amazing, service friendly and atmosphere cozy, I'm really excited to go back and try more. This is my new favorite place!

Yelp
You will begin to fall in love with this place the moment you see the sign. It looks cozy, welcoming, and yes historic. The brick patio and rod iron furniture is a foreshadowing that you will be here for a few hours (at least). But then, you open the door. I don't recommend you enter with your eyes closed, but if you did it would allow you to delay the distraction of the display case. Why would this be of benefit? Because it would increase the intensity of the aroma washing over you. An aroma that is simply put is heavenly, but to be more descriptive is bready, brown butter, icing, and a caramelized sugar glaze all in one. Just behind it is the contrast of pulled espresso shots and brewed coffee. You hear the conversations of people and orders being taken at the register. Maybe it's time to open your eyes. Before you are espresso brownies, lemon crumble, pecan bars, and chocolate cupcakes. Depending on the day, there will be cakes available by the slice (or larger portions-no judgement). Half dozens of cupcakes as well. You will never visit here and want for a quality selection. Instead you will wish your appetite could be expanded. There are many "must visit" locations in downtown Harrisonburg. This is in my top 5.

Berni D.

Yelp
Amazing! I visited for afternoon tea and it was incredibly good! If you consider yourself a coffee person (I do!) don't deny yourself the incredible change of pace that tea offers! You will get your caffeine, if needed (I need it!). The cafe is such a relaxing, quaint little place and the owner's mom was so sweet, helpful and incredibly attentive. I got the full tea service and did not regret a sip or bite! Seriously the best scone I've ever had! Lemon ginger

Yelp
I was in town for work staying at hotel down the street and stumbled upon this gem. I loved it here so much. They had gluten free options and offered to change gloves and utensils. The waffle was absolutely amazing! The fruit fresh and delicious! And the tea was just lovely. I also got a gluten free blueberry muffin to go that I gobbled up for lunch. The restaurant has outdoor and indoor seating. The servers were so friendly, hospitable, and downright lovely. I think I'll go back tomorrow.

Yelp
Absolutely adorable! Lovely atmosphere-- welcoming and friendly! Best avocado toast I've ever had :) thank you!

Yelp
Heritage Bakery made us our baked goodies for our wedding and they were fantastic. We had numerous people tell us, "this is the best cake i've ever had!" From our tasing through our wedding day, the Hertage Team was so sweet to work with. We moved forward with an almond cake with raspberry frosting, chocolate cupcakes, and lemon cupcakes. Some of the cupcakes were gluten free and nut free as well. I've loved Heritage Bakery since my days at JMU, so it was extra special to have them serving our wedding cake! We would highly recommend Heritage Bakery for your event needs -- or just any sweet treat.

Yelp
Traveling along I 81 and needed a place to stop for coffee and something to eat. This place is adorable. Friendly service and very good items. I'm gluten free and they offered gf toast which was great. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was great. This will definitely be a place I'll look to stop at on my way up North.

Yelp
While I am familiar with the Harrisonburg area, I do not live in the state and only return every few years. The next time I visit, I hope this place is still here. The patio area near the entrance is clean and green making it pleasant to sit at even being right next to Main Street. Inside, the vibe feels a little like entering a country home. The kitchen itself looks like a typical kitchen, not industrial style. China lines the walls and is used for the dishware. Utensils and straws are recyclable. Being a family-owned, pastry shop, it has somewhat limited options, but they are likely fresh baked that day. I say likely because I had coffee only. The coffee is brewed (don't expect cappuccino or espresso), which was perfectly fine for me. They even provide one free refill. Overall, I really enjoyed my short time there. It is a unique departure from the typical, modern-style coffee shop at most places. If I attended or worked at JMU, I could see myself being here often.

Yelp
CoVid update: they have increased their outdoor seating area. The bake goods list is posted on the front door. A wait staff will come out to take your order or you can call in your order ahead of time. The bathrooms are closed. The city has provided a porta potty located in the back of the building. So don't try to go in the building for now. Food is still amazing and freshly made daily!

Yelp
I hate to leave bad reviews, but last year I ordered a cake for my moms birthday, and it was beautifully decorated and had lots of flowers on it, icing design all around it. This is a photo of the cake I just picked up. It's like they just stopped trying halfway across the cake? And they charged me full price for this- I was so embarrassed when I presented. It looked like a 6 year old decorated - I expect so much more from a custom order for a bakery.

Yelp
Tuck on the side of a building is this cute little bakery & cafe. You can tell everything is made with love and care. The staff are very nice. The special of the day sandwich (a Caprese type sandwich) didn't "wow" me, but was still pretty good. The chips seemed to be the multigrain ones you can buy at Costco (not complaining, but not what I expected). I still want to try their breakfast & pastries, but I feel like there may be better stops for more generous prices with just as fresh food for lunch. All in all, it was just okay but I'd still like to come back because maybe it was just what I ordered.

Yelp
heritage is my favorite place in harrisonburg. getting breakfast or lunch here with my friends is always the highlight of my week. every time I walk in and see the owner, Isabelle, she's always asking me and my friends how our day is going and helping us decide on what to get. we call her our "neighborhood fairy" because she is so kind and truly bakes the most delicious macaroons, cookies, and cakes. i already can't wait for the next trip i make to heritage!

Yelp
This little place has the worlds most beautiful cakes! The photo I'm attaching doesn't do them justice, alas. But everything we had there - the blueberry Bundt cake and the avocado toast - was excellent (and very artistic looking). Super nice staff, too!

Yelp
Visited 6/25/2021: We stopped into Heritage Bakery & Cafe hoping to grab some pastries to take back to our hotel, but they only had scones which was a disappointment to us given the photos we've seen online of their bakes. But it wasn't a huge deal, so we ordered food to enjoy in the cafe. I had a bowl of granola, yogurt, and fruit. It was a generously-sized portion and their homemade granola was delicious; they served the bowl drizzled with honey and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Except for bananas, I was disappointed that my bowl didn't have bananas on it, but there was plenty of berries on top to keep me satisfied. My husband ordered the Belgian waffle and from the one bite of it I had, it was incredible. Super fluffy with a nice crispy exterior, it was everything you could wish from a Belgian waffle. It was served with syrup on the side and was mounded with fresh fruit. The set-up inside is really cute, and behind the counter, the open kitchen looks like a little old lady's kitchen. The young people working there were helpful and friendly, but we felt awkward in there. They were all talking and laughing and it felt like we had walked in on a private conversation. I don't know, we just didn't feel super welcomed. Our iced coffees were good, and they had soy milk available for us, but I wish they had more of an interesting coffee bar selection. Not a deal-breaker though because they don't obviously advertise themselves as a coffee shop. Also, I think their signage could be a bit better and more clear. Their menu board is on the right side of the counter and it's hard to crane your neck to see everything they have available quickly with other people behind you waiting to order. We also weren't sure if we were supposed to leave our dirty plates on the table or bring them back up to the counter since it wasn't really a sit-down table service situation. None of these should be a deal-breaker though, and I would certainly visit them again next time I'm in Harrisonburg.

Yelp
The place quite and staff was very nice and friendly. The food was great I had salmon lox and my son had the GF beligum waffle with fruit. Everything was amazing The dozes was beautiful to eat off of and look at. Definitely go back to again.

Yelp
I simply feel this is a hidden gem, and a treasure to have in Harrisonburg. I'm glad to know and have the opportunity to visit this cafe. Beautiful, and really puts in what downtown Harrisonburg doesn't seem to already have in its points of food and business. Presently, it meets the coffee and tea expectation with a splash of southern appeal and class.

Yelp
We stopped by here while in town on a Saturday Morning. They had a nice outdoor eating area with a small indoor dining area as well. The Croissant Breakfast Sandwich was very good and not too heavy. The Blueberry muffin had a different taste than we were used to but still was very good. I would definitely recommend Heritage Bakery & Cafe.

Yelp
This place was A-OK! I guess the hype was real. We stopped here on our first time in H'burg, and basically drive straight to it. The parking lot at S Federal and E Bruce was handy, and although it's not huge, we managed the last spot before heading over to the visitor center where the cafe is located. The whole building is quaint and charming, but wait until you see the cafe-it's cuteness overload! No more than 10 small tables inside and a handful in the outdoor patio area, and the self-service water/condiments section was also charming. I believe the baked goods are prepared fresh daily and they sell out some things by mid-afternoon. But we were here for lunch, specifically their curry chicken. So was it worth the almost 100-mile drive?? Well, they sold out! We settled for other things on the menu: - Egg salad on croissant: YUM. I probably needed 2-4 of these, which says something about the portion size, but at least I wasn't hungry anymore. Two options for sides, and I chose kale salad. Fresh (I believe locally sourced) kale chopped and tossed in light sweet vinegar dressing, this was GOOD. 4.5/5 - Fresh mozzarella: I believe it was served on a toasted focaccia, and the pesto and tomatoes blended complemented the whole thing. Corn chips on the side for this one, and they were good, although cant beat the kale salad! 5/5 How could we come all the way here and not pick up at least one baked goodie? We got the pumpkin chocolate chip cake, and it was this moist, chocolatey perfection with a nutty finish. Yum! The service was great, and this one particular staff was very friendly and helpful, and made us first-time visitors feel welcome. Oh I also appreciated the umbrella for the outdoor table. All in all, I wish the portion size was a little bigger, but that egg salad on croissant was otherwise tops. I'm daydreaming now.

Yelp
I loved this bakery! The food is delicious. I was a few days in town and couldn't stop going there. All the girls who worked there are very professional. I loved the owner, she is charming and sweet! She already knew my name! I will miss the avocado toast and the Belgian gluten free waffle, and the freshly squeezed orange juice! Can you guys open in my area? :) see you soon!

Yelp
I stopped by this little cafe while visiting Harrisonburg. It is tucked beside the historical museum, so you can't see it right away. It's a small space but so worth stopping by. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's a causal cute and welcoming atmosphere. The ladies working are sweet and helpful. I couldn't decided what to get because everything looked so yummy. I got the pumpkin muffin and a raspberry chocolate macaroon. The muffins was moist and flavorful. The macaroon was a little piece of heaven. I'm sad I didn't get a dozen because one just wasn't enough! They also have lunch items and coffee available. I learned they also do custom orders on a variety of items. I saw cakes, cupcakes, and macaroons all ready to be picked up from customers! Stop by if you are in the area! If you want to sit, possibly be prepared for a wait, but it will be well worth it!
google avatar

Emily W.

Yelp
I've tried almost everything on their breakfast menu and loved it all!! Never have any complaints and their staff is so friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
I went to school in the area and probably went to heritage for a macaron or a pastry once a week. LOL yea, I balled out even tho I was college budget af. Anyways, the macarons here are to die for. Isabel, the owner and baker and the coolest gal ever, makes them and you'll find that each day or so a new flavor appears in the case. There's always something new in the case!!!! Like I can't name a single thing that's not delicious. Their sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches are amazing. I always get the smoked salmon bagel for breakfast or I'll switch it up and get egg bacon Gouda on croissant. Honestly it's a cute and quaint place, so don't be surprised if it's super busy. The case sells out quick!! Every thing here is cute. From the pastries to the desserts. ALSO, She does cakes. She's done wedding cakes and birthday cakes and grad cakes. I bought myself a lavender lemon cake and truthfully can tell you I ate it all myself. LOOK AT THE PICS IF UR HESITANT, BC I GUARANTEE ITS A GOOD SPOT

Yelp
We had a great experience at Heritage Bakery and Cafe! So many healthy options. I had a delicious quiche with an great salad. The kids ordered sandwiches, iced tea and fresh orange juice. The outdoor seating had enough space in between tables. It was a beautiful setting for an outdoor brunch. Access to clean restrooms always make me happy!

Catherine M.

Yelp
Lovely, tea for 2 only $6.00! I was pleasantly surprised that they offer Golden Yunnan tea-one of my favorites. We also had a delicious waffle with huge berries. Beautiful presentation. Excellent cost to value ratio. We will definitely come back.

Matt S.

Yelp
They have decaf! Mini chocolate cakes were a nice bite-sized pick me up. Parking is tough here and the dessert stock dwindles into the afternoons but they are friendly and welcoming.
google avatar

Aigerim K.

Yelp
Just go to Bella Gelato & pastries and play it safe , so you wouldn't feel sorry about wasting money(in my case $10 for 3 cupcakes and 3 macaroons). I didn't like my cupcake or macaroon(cream inside disgusting, not a real macaroon). Go only If you are okay with having a sugar rash afterwards, everything is over sweet and excess amounts of sugar. Those with diabetes, this place is NO-NO. You will feel really bad afterwards. Service is good, but the place doesn't worth spending money.
google avatar

Yelp
During the COVID-19 epidemic, this company still provided awesome service! Their kindness was amazing and I told them to surprise me for $25! The assortment that I received was beautiful and it was delivered to my car following proper precautions! I've always loved this little place and they take pride in their pastries and desserts! Take time to check out this quaint little cafe!
google avatar

Yelp
Gorgeous! We ordered a custom key lime tart and it was a showstopper. I didn't even want to eat it because it was so pretty. The figs and berries were perfectly ripe, the tart was tangy and buttery, and the service was impeccable. I also felt reassured that they were taking necessary precautions due to COVID-19, which was much appreciated. Everyone we dealt with was wearing a mask, and they don't allow patrons inside so we waited outside for them to bring the items outside. It was a breeze to order and everyone commented on how beautiful it was. Above and beyond expectations!
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
We ate outside and ordered a salmon sandwich, breakfast croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese, and a lavender cake-- all were fantastic. We ate outside with our puppy and enjoyed the food. This is more of a take out spot-- don't expect frills-- but the croissant BEC sandwich was delicious, and the lavender cake had amazing icing -- subtle flavors and not too sweet. We will definitely be back .

Yelp
Quite a hidden gem of a cafe, with both indoor and outdoor seating! We circled it twice before we found the sign for Bakery & Visitor's Center. There was plenty of parking available. The staff was friendly, efficient, and delivered our order quickly. We both had a delicious, crisp croissant breakfast sandwich with eggs, Havarti cheese (one with bacon, one with greens), fresh fruit cup (really fresh raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and banana slices), garnish slices of blood oranges, and fresh, tasty coffee. After ordering at the front, staff delivered food by table number. Everything was served on China mugs or plates - very attractive! Coffee creamers, syrups, and sweeteners were self-serve. Coffee to go was free. Clean up was self-serve under the coffee station. The only reason for a 4 rating was the mouthful of coffee grinds at the bottom of my coffee cup. Otherwise, this was a great little place for breakfast or lunch!

Yelp
Heritage bakery is such a sweet little place. I visited with some friends of mine from the Harrisonburg area (they are regulars) and I loved it. They had a great selection of teas and pastries, a charming atmosphere, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and the most delicious pop tart I've ever tasted. I think their use of space, sharing with the chamber of commerce, is brilliant, it also doesn't take away from their cute, little cafe feel. Lots of windows so it's nice and bright. Parking on the street was easy, lots of available spaces all around the bakery. I've been told that they often have gluten free selections, though there were none there when I visited - it was also around 4pm. I've had their cupcakes at a wedding and they were also wonderful. Check out this beautiful bakery and cafe, it won't disappoint!

Mazen G.

Yelp
This is the best cafe in Downtown Harrisonburg Last weekend my wife and me stopped by to get breakfast, food was delicious, the service was excellent. The indoor and outdoor was very impressive!

Heather F.

Yelp
Super cute bakery. The selections are baked fresh everyday. The coffee was fresh and hot. We had the blueberry muffin and linzer cookie. Yum. Will be back when we are in the area againn

Yelp
Awesomesauce! A must stop, must eat destination. Great bakery assortment that stretches the palate and breakfast and lunch dishes each of which delights. The croissant is buttery and flaky, the salmon topped bagel yields with succulent salmon on top of a pillow of cream cheese with the bit of red onion and the salty capers Of course we got a variety of sweets for the ride. The selection changes regularly Do yourself a favor, stop and enjoy.

Yelp
We were only visiting Harrisonburg for a week, but this little bakery/cafe instantly became our favorite dining option. The fresh, creative sandwiches and salads were delicious, as were the baked treats, ranging from scones and muffins to cookies and cupcakes. The staff were welcoming, and it became apparent from their banter while working, that a lot of the customers are regulars. They serve breakfast all day long, so if you wake up late, this is your place. It reminded me of Austin. It shares a building with the Visitor's Center, and has indoor and open patio dining options. The dishes are mix and match china from grandma's house, which only adds to the feeling of hanging out at someone's home instead of a business. You order at the counter and the staff brings your food out to you. Use your GPS to find it the first time, because it's easy to miss driving down Main Street. Parking is on the street, but there are 2-hour unmetered spots available close by.

Yelp
Couldn't ask for more out of a bakery. Stopped here for lunch and had the best tuna croissant sandwich. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Will be coming back!

Yelp
I wish this beautiful bakery served espresso drinks, but my black coffee was definitely good enough. My husband reviews his salmon bagel as exceptional, and my avocado toast was CRAZY GOOD!

Charlene C.

Yelp
Their products are absolutely great...and that's due to my personal experience with the Company. FROM A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER
google avatar

Chuck K.

Yelp
I don't know how they do it, their day must begin at 0-Dark Thirty to prepare all the amazing baked goodies they do each day. This isn't a typical bakery, they make exquisite pastries, cupcakes, cakes, cookies, etc., plus made to order breakfast foods. All done in a tiny kitchen. This is a not to be missed place and oh yeah, it's amazingly reasonably priced. My only concern is the skill and brains of this operation will move on to bigger and better things.

Blaire H.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh food, friendly staff. Highly recommend. Daily quiche was tasty and not your everyday avocado toast.

Yelp
This quiet bakery and cafe is a wonderful gem near JMU! Great desert selections made daily and a nice breakfast and lunch menu which are all delicious! Great place to enjoy a nice lunch or study.

Yelp
Amazing little cafe that is a gorgeous spot to slowly sip of coffee or tea and a pastry while writing or reading or meeting up with friends. It is small but simply precious and always smells wonderful. Their coffee is locally brewed at Lucas Roasting Company and is delicious. They also have the most gorgeous teacups and plates. The staff is also so friendly. Isabelle, one of the owners keeps up a mouth-watering instagram! Food wise I have had their quiche of the day with a salad- amazing! Also their chocolate cherry muffin. I want to simply try everything on the menu.
google avatar

Lotus S.

Yelp
When we arrived at the establishment some of the items on their menu were sold out. The staff was friendly. The food was somewhat disappointing, I ordered the salmon but instead of a bagel I ordered it with/in a croissant. The croissant was sliced in two but I only was served one half of the croissant. Although it was very tasty, portion wise it was small for the price. My daughter had the egg salad sandwich, it was not as flavorful as we anticipate. Portion was it was generous. All together it was OK but we decided not to return and seek for other options.

Yelp
OMG it's so GOOD! And so cute little place! I wish we have this back home! Another surprise @ Harrisonburg! Just lovely!

Yelp
It's like your childhood kitchen turned into a cafe. Great for breakfast & lunch. They have yummy pastries and quiches. Their coffee is a bit weak, but hey, everything can't be perfect. The place doesn't have a lot of indoor seating, but on a nice day, they have seating outside as well. There is lots of light flooding in from windows around the dining area, so it has a bright atmosphere. If you're looking for a lovely place to talk with a friend or read a book by yourself, I would recommend this bakery.
