HERITAGE - Croatian Street Food & Shop

Literally the best food we had in Zagreb. This place was on our list and we had the chance to stop by on our last day. We tried s lot of different sandwiches both sweet and salty. Our favorite ones were the sandwiches with spicy sausage&ajvar and the sandwich with truffle and pork. We also tried pear rakija, it was very delicious, leaving that fresh pear taste in your mouth even after several hours ! It has a small interior so you might need to wait a bit but it will be worth it!

Best food experience in Zagreb. A must try for all visiting Zagreb. The seating space is small. So we couldn't get space on first day. We came bit early on second day. Amazed by the food taste. The staff helped us to place the order (very fluent in English). Once we received the food, she explained to us the croatians roots of each item in our platter. This was a unique experience for us. A definite recommendation for anyone visiting Zagreb. Please be prepared to wait if you arrive during peak hours of dining. But it is worth the wait 😊

We ordered the fish bites, fig walnut salad, and truffle sandwich, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were memorable and thoroughly enjoyable. All the ingredients were fresh, high-quality, and locally sourced. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining the origin of all the key ingredients. It was truly a delightful experience! We went there twice and the lunchtime is more enjoyable as they are not as busy as the dinner time.

Hidden gem!!! This place was so authentic. The waiter told us exactly where they got the ingredients from each of our sandwhiches. Very very fresh and delicious. If I lived here, I would come all the time. HIGHLY recommend!

Great place for lunch in the town centre. The menu offers a variety of regional specialties, flatbread sandwiches, and an absolutely delicious fig salad. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making guests feel welcomed and well-cared for. The eatery also doubles as a delicatessen, allowing visitors to purchase traditional products as souvenirs. Seating is limited, so it might be wise to book a table if you plan to come during busy hours.

One of the best restaurants within the city, locally sourced food and the service was very friendly and quick. However, it is only small so it can be hard to get into. Overall a must go to in the city!

Small cozy diner with limited seats, but you can wait for one. Salad is only for dine in, and for good reason- it looks really good! Apparently if you don’t order the ham they’ll give a double serving for the figs and more. If I had the chance to come back, that would actually be my choice, since the ham was not as much the star of the show as the figs. Sandwich was delicious also, I loved the caramelised onions and marinated anchovies. They also introduce the dishes as they are served. Great!
