The Daintree Rainforest area has to be one of the most sort after locations for Bird watchers and all who love the east coast rain-forests. Heritage Lodge in the heart of the area is perfectly placed for exploring the forest, so accessible for wonderful walks and wildlife. The Lodge itself exceeds expectations. The lovely spacious restaurant overlooks a small pool with trees beyond and the creek below. The detatched lodges spread along a feeder-track are spacious and well furnished. We greatly enjoyed our two night stay with a group, but longer there or a return trip would be so good to look forward to.

Amazing place, incredible to wake up in the middle of the rainforest! Highly recommend visiting as this is a very unique hotel; the service is impeccable and it’s very comfortable with every amenity needed. The food in the restaurant is delicious. If you do come here, bring your swimmers as a dip in the creek is a beautiful experience and not to be missed!
Will definitely be back, next time for more than 2 nights!

Overall happy with our stay. Nice dining area in restaurant and decent size rooms. Food a bit on the pricey end but given the location, was well presented and quite accomodating.Room was good and clean, however only minor feedback is would have been appreciated if all windows were not left open as it took ages for the room to cool given the hot humid weather.

A repeat visit to this enchanting tropical oasis. Fantastic lunch in an open air restaurant overlooking the brilliant blue swimming hole. |Meals are large, beautifully presented and most importantly tasty 😋 |Bungalow style accommodation in the rainforest that abounds in wildlife.|A real nature lovers must do x

This was the second time I visited the Heritage Lodge. We simply love it. The location is wonderful and the food is terrific - they could improve the breakfast menu though. The highlight is the swimminghole where you can go for decent laps if the waterlevel is high enough.

Ever stayed in a cabin where the forest is right at your doorstep?
We started losing telco signal as we drove into the place. Then we were informed that rooms had no wifi nor tv signal. Entertainment in the room was watching dvds which were on loan for free at the reception. Our kids were shocked, but the one night stay turned out to be good digital detox.
There are 2 natural swim holes, and a safe and short path for a really short and easy trek.
If you are looking out for a forest bath, this is the place that you wanna be.

One of our favourite days of our week up there was lunch and a swim here. The food and ambience at the restaurant was beautiful, and the swimming holes were breathtakingly delightful, on a warmish day its just amazing in the cooler crystal clear water there (go right from the restaurant albeit there are a few options). A must do if you ever anywhere near here. BYO bathers :-)

Stayed here after reading reviews. Had booked directly for a room with two beds. One if the beds was wire frame and could feel it through the mattress. There was excessive mould and dirt in tray of shower. The water was brown so unable to make a cup of tea. Could use air conditioning as it was very loud. Setting was lovely and resturant service was great with the overseas travellers and food was good.....this gave the 2 stars. We were not allowwed to book dinner past 6.30 as they said they don't have enough people staying in hotel. Only found this ouf after arrival. The swimming holes are not blue as in their photographs. After visiting the Cape I think there are much better places to stay for similar price range.
