Rendezvous Heritage Hotel Queenstown

I stayed at the Heritage for 7 nights, and would definitely stay again. The room was great! Very spacious and very clean. Couldn’t fault the service of the staff, they were amazing. The 24/7 reception is very great. The only downside is the parking is limited. Apart from that, 10/10. Would definitely come back.

Had a great stay here. Stayed for seven days. Initially we had the wrong bed configuration to the room and had to get an extra bed in, and this was no issue as the front desk sorted it out straight away. |We did not dine here or have the buffet breakfast, but were told by others the breakfast was very good. |Parking is $15 a day, but can be fight to find a park, especially if you come back later at night. You might have to park outside or opposite the the hotel where there is 4 hour car park. |Our room was made up every day, which was pleasant to have after along day, though they did leave the pillows on the ground one day and a blanket. Maybe forgotten on a bsuy day? |The pool is not heated, but the spa is a welcome visit after along day of skiing. |There was a fire alarm go off as well at 2am one day, but that was a false alarm. Everyone seemed to have complied to the alarms. |Overall a great stay and the front desk staff and the guy who sorted our bed out were excellent and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The Lakeview rooms are great and come with an amazing view. Spa and sauna is nice and hot, whilst the pool is a little chilly. Gym has what you need too. Bus stop that takes you straight to/from town and the airport is across the road, just $2 per trip (anywhere) if you buy a $5 bee card. Takeaway (good) coffee is available from the restaurant.

I stayed for four nights. The room was spacious and the bed was large and comfortable, which I really appreciated. Although the facilities felt a bit dated, the housekeeping seemed excellent and kept everything very clean. However, I was uncomfortable with the amount of dust in the air conditioner — I didn’t want to turn it on, but had to because it was too cold. Even with the heater running all day, the room still felt chilly, which made me wonder if the heater was too small for the room size. It was also extremely dry at night, making it hard to sleep; a humidifier would be a helpful addition. The pool water was too cold to use, and the jacuzzi was quite small and overcrowded — everyone had to sit very close together, which felt a bit uncomfortable. Lastly, I was a bit disappointed that breakfast and parking weren’t included in the room rate.

Me & my partner stayed for 4 nights on winter time in lake view room. The hero of our stay is the view from our window directly to magnificent scenery of mountain and lake as this hotel is located on higher position compare with other hotels surrounding and about 15 minutes walk to the city centre. It’s very therapeutic to watch the transformation of the snow, cloud, haze, rain and even howling sound the wind at night during our stay. The food is amazing, friendly staff and housekeeper clean the room everyday. The vibe of this hotel it looks like a log cabin with crackling warm fire in reception and cozy lounge room. Just the only down side of the room some of the amenity need to be updated include the AC is very noisy all night long.

Disappointing stay – not worthy of 4 stars I stayed here for one night and was honestly surprised this hotel is rated 4 stars. The reception area was disappointing, with no sign of a porter or staff to assist, and no clearly visible ramp to bring up luggage or heavy items. The room was extremely outdated, with old furnishings and an uncomfortable bed that was described as a queen but was actually two singles pushed together—you sink right into the gap in the middle. The blankets were thin and not warm enough for two people to share, which made for an uncomfortable night. The biggest issue was the WiFi, which didn't work for several hours after check-in. When I asked about it at reception two times (after waiting a while), the staff seemed annoyed and dismissive, which was really disappointing and not acceptable customer service. The only redeeming feature is the great location near the lake, but unfortunately, that’s not enough for me to ever return or recommend this place to anyone.

This was by far our favorite hotel of the 10 we stayed at during our tour of beautiful New Zealand. Our room was unexpectedly large, with an in room washer and separate dryer. Full bathtub and separate shower. Kitchenette with dishwasher. The view outside on our balcony was spectacular. Breakfast was delicious! We had no need to interact with the staff, nor did we have time for the hot tub, but I have no reason to think anything would have been less than perfect.

Good location on hillside with great views of Lake Wakatipu. The hotel has three blocks. We were in the waterfall block which has limited views but our room was clean comfortable and spacious. Very comfortable bed. Balcony with nice tree views and some partial views of the mountains. Very good breakfast with great choice available. |Swimming pool is in need of an upgrade in our view but entirely usable. All in all a very pleasant three nights.
