Heritance Tea Factory

We had a wonderful stay at the Heritance Tea Factory. The service was absolutely outstanding – the staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The food was fabulous with a great variety and rich flavors. A special thanks to Yoga, who served us in the restaurant with such warmth and professionalism. His attentiveness and friendly nature truly enhanced our dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect combination of comfort, great hospitality, and delicious cuisine.

The hotel was truly fantastic! We really enjoyed exploring the beautiful scenic views and learning about the old machines that were once used to prepare fresh tea leaves. The staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming, always greeting us with big smiles. I also loved the garden, it was soo well maintained, with an amazing collection of topiary and exotic plants. When it comes to meals, especially lunch, the portions were generous, the food was excellent, and everything was served so nicely. Our room had a wonderful view overlooking the picturesque tea-covered mountain ranges. That being said, I would kindly encourage some improvements: the road leading to the hotel could be better maintained, and we noticed a few cracks on the walls in the room. Overall though, it was a fantastic hotel experience, and we would love to visit again!

Had a wonderful time at Heritance Tea Factory. Booked a suite so the room was awesome. Was very impressed with the food. Each day the menu was good and food tasted great at each meal. A special mention to Thanushan for looking after us. The surrounding areas and the gardens are well managed by the staff too. Keep up the great service. Will be back again for sure!

Fantastic stay at the Heritance tea factory. Worth the drive to get there. Lovely views and scenery. Hotel is an old tea factory with many original features which ambience. We booked the train carriage dining experience and were lucky to have it all to ourselves! Exceptional service from Yoga, our dining host, who made us feel special for our anniversary celebration. And well done to the chef too!

What an incredible experience we had at this hotel. On the evening we checked in, we ran late. The restaurant manager held the restaurant open for us, and had the most wonderful meal ready for us! The rooms were so comfortable, and the view from the hotel rooms was incredible. The service was awesome! 5-star breakfasts were delivered to our hotel rooms each morning, and every single item was so delicious. It was also a lot of fun to watch the old tea grinding machine in the centre of the hotel. A fabulous stay!!

A beautiful hotel, a former tea factory within a tea plantation. Many old features, stylishly restored with an old turbine which is switched on at 7.30 pm daily. Our room was very comfortable with splendid views. We went to the on site tea factory and saw how the leaves were treated and graded. There is a putting green and many activities are provided such as tea plucking which we did not have time to avail of. Breakfast and dinner were very good. The staff were attentive and very helpful. The road access is narrow, rutted with speed bumps and slightly worrying when a truck is coming the other way, but it is worth it when you get there. would be happy to go back and explore some more.

As we arrived Shanka & Nimamn greeted us with a genuinely friendly smile at the reception. At the restaurant, Yogaraj, Harsha, Gautham, Imantha, Kavi-Kanth, Wije, Samira, Dihan, Jaya Chandra, Namal, Nathan were extremely friendly, helpful, communicative & professional. They all went out of their way to show what a good service they can offer. A big thank you to them and they definitely deserve a pay rise. Kishna and the new guy in the tea plucking area were also extremely sweet, friendly and professional. Krishna was very knowledgeable about what she taught us. Throughly enjoyed the tea plucking experience with her. We learnt alot. Mohan Raj took us on a 2hr walk around the whole estate and he was very friendly, had very good communication skills and was confident about what he spoke. Throughly enjoyed the walk. Jayaprakash and Nishantha who served us in the capacity of room service was also very obliging and helpful with a big smile.
