The Best Hotels in the World: 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards

Hermann Bungalows

"Why book? This is the place for ultimate Palm Springs mid-century luxury, designed with the most sumptuous details and suited for the natural landscape—including prime poolside San Jacinto Mountain views. Set the scene The nouveau-modern Palm Springs style is central to this lavish boutique property, from its Venetian terrazzo floors and custom furniture, to its ethereal zero-edge pool with unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. Located on a spacious site along E. Palm Canyon Road, these posh bungalows were made to seamlessly suit the desert scenery, using natural materials and native plants alongside earth-toned furnishings. Guests are exceptionally styled too, often there to mark a romantic getaway. And none are under 21 (house rules). The backstory This is an uncommon experience: a resort within a resort. One is luxury while the other is “ultra-luxury.” The latter is Hermann Bungalows, a uniquely chic 24-suite lodge opened by designer-hotelier Steve Hermann in 2022. It’s adjacent to L’Horizon Resort & Spa (25 rooms), which Hermann opened in 2015 after a $10 million renovation of an existing mid-century property. Bungalow guests enter through L’Horizon’s lobby to reach their own fully contained hotel, whose design inspiration is rooted in the mid-century-modernism architecture of Richard Nuetra. Guests can stay in the privacy of the Hermann Bungalows, or access all of the amenities of L’Horizon Resort, including its pool, the Spa, and the elegant SO.PA restaurant. The rooms In total, you’ll find 20 junior suites, two studio suites, and two one-bedroom suites, each has private patios facing the 85-foot-long pool. Four suites have fully fenced back yards, three have jacuzzi tubs, and 12 include outdoor showers. Expect to relax in an environment of natural stone and wood that ties into the lushly landscaped garden just beyond the floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Oversized bathrooms might be the standout room feature, with beautiful patterned-marble walls, plush Frette robes and slippers, rainforest showers, gilded fixtures, and TOTO smart toilets. Food and drink Extending proprietor-designer Steve Hermann’s nature-inspired design, SO.PA is an intimate alfresco dining experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You can dine at your own table, or go family-style at the 26-foot live-edge walnut communal table. Courtyard ambience is romantic with firepits, fountains, and plants. Service is attentive, though some guests have shared mixed reviews on the level of care. Similarly, the upscale American and international menu features some delightfully uncommon ingredients, but some find dish quality inconsistent. SO.PA is located on the L’Horizon campus, and guests from Hermann Bungalows are welcome—just beware that the restaurant is reservations-only, adults-only, and pets-free. Guests also can enjoy craft cocktails, wines, and bites from the Hermann Bungalow Bar as well as the pool bar at L’Horizon. The spa Reserve time at the Spa for massages, facials, and body treatments. There are four private indoor-outdoor white-canvas cabanas, allowing the warm climate and sounds of nature to complement each session. You can add on aromatherapy treatments for scalp or for feet, as well as peels to any facial. Prices are high but not unreasonable, and a 20-percent gratuity is added for each reservation. The neighborhood/area Hermann Bungalows are situated on the south end of the Palm Springs main strip, near the local hipster go-to Ace Hotel & Swim Club, which still draws a cool crowd. But as the neighborhood evolves, Bungalow guests have more options for (gasp!) walking-distance bars, restaurants, and boutiques, which can make a nice break from Hermann’s exclusivity. The service As a domain of uber-luxury, guests can expect every service detail and request to be accommodated. Expect a welcome glass of sparkling wine at check in, quick valet service, and polished, friendly care across the board. Accessibility Service dogs are allowed and are exempt from the resort’s pet fee, which is restricted to canines. Anything left to mention? Brand-new in 2022, the Hermann Bungalows was an instant a standout as ultra-posh resort in an already high-end destination like Palm Springs. And though the experience may come with an indulgent price tag, the grand design, accommodations, service, and atmosphere will keep you fondly remembering your nouveau-modernist visit for a long time." - Kelsy Chauvin

No question Hermann Bungalows is the finest hotel in Palm Springs. The build quality is world class and the service is excellent. I called ahead to inquire about an early check-in and Aaron at the front desk was very helpful in accommodating early check-in and even helping to facilitate a specific room view request. Matt at valet was helpful in explaining the history of the property and helping with a variety of service requests. Food was quite good, recommend the whipped coconut cream over berries at breakfast. It feels like staying in a suite at a $5 million modern home.

Beautiful Rooms, Disappointing Service We stayed at the Herman Bungalows over Memorial Day weekend. While the property is undeniably stunning—beautiful design, a serene atmosphere, and thoughtfully curated bungalows—the overall experience didn’t match the premium price point (over $1,000/night). The resort consistently felt understaffed. Check-in took over 20 minutes, and we saw the same delays happen to other guests throughout our stay, including at checkout. Staff were friendly but often overwhelmed or inattentive. The most frustrating part was the poolside bar and dining. Even in the premium pool area, there were only one or two people working at a time. It often took 30+ minutes to receive drinks (if they arrived at all without reminders), and food service was painfully slow—we once waited nearly two hours for a simple appetizer. Oddly, the premium pool’s bar opened later than the lower-tier pool’s, and room service ended at 9pm, which felt surprisingly early for a luxury resort. This property clearly has immense potential—its aesthetic and setting are exceptional—but the service felt more in line with a mid-tier Marriott than a five-star experience. I’d recommend it if you can find a lower rate, but at full price, I actually preferred our experience at their sister hotel, The Colony, which is marketed as a step down but delivered far better service.

Stayed at the bungalows for our baby moon / first Mother’s Day and had a fantastic experience all around. Service was great, some honorable mentions: Briana at the pool was always attentive to our needs and so pleasant, Angela at the desk was sweet and personable she made some recommendations for food and even brought out car around when bellman was busy so we didn’t have to miss our reservation, Angela housekeeping supervisor was kind and hospitable her entire team was amazing ! The bungalows were perfect and pool was very enjoyable. Loved the turn down service nightly and need to come back asap for those pancakes!

An absolutely stunning hotel with great service. We stayed here over Coachella weekend and had one of the bungalows on the pool. The room was very spacious and very well designed. The bathroom had bidet which was really nice and there were both indoor and outdoor showers. We really enjoyed hanging out by the pool for breakfast and drinks. Thank you to the great Hermann bungalows team for doing everything to make our stay memorable

Enjoyed a long weekend staying at the Herman Bungalows, was fantastic! Our room was modern, chic and well designed. The service was nice, the property was well landscaped and overall great vibes. We liked both pools and would recommend this place!

This is our second time visiting the Hermann Bungalows. We have traveled the world and stayed at luxurious places to include Norway, Italy, Switzerland, and Japan. This hotel is truly special, and even more unique that it's only 2.5 hrs from our front door step.||From the second you enter this side of the resort, you will feel pampered. It truly is luxurious, and feels like a once in a lifetime stay. The room is nice enough, you may not want to actually leave it. Enjoy the outdoor shower, private outdoor patio, and plush robe the entire weekend. Highly recommend (despite the price tag).

Google
First and foremost, this is a stunning property...The architecture, interior design, landscaping and property lighting is exceptional. You can tell the owner took into consideration every detail and it shows. The mix of stone, marble, concrete, wood and more is one of the best I've seen....as a hospitality designer myself, I was incredibly impressed. The bathroom vanity with vertical strips of wood, marble, brass and tile is so clever...a beautiful blend of material selection. Loved the bathroom toilet seat that raises when you walk by. The layout of the rooms, the outdoor private patio, the hanging adjustable pendant lights...all great...enjoyed the Nespresso coffee every morning and the little gifts they brought at night. Every one who works here is very friendly and goes out of their way to assist....||Here is the issue for me: They are charging incredibly high prices, even in the off season and the service and amenities do not match that price point. The hotel has two sections, the Bungalows, which is their high-end property and then through a gate is the budget hotel, which feels more like a really clean freshly painted old Holiday Inn. You have to walk through this budget hotel to get to the other nicer hotel. There is only one front desk, not a separate front desk for the Bungalows, and there is the disconnect. ||The L'Horizon section really needs updating...from the outdoor lounge furniture, to the rooms which they are charging $450 a night!!! I would price those rooms at around $200 max....as a courtesy to the other guest on this side of the hote, i straightened the lounge furniture and pillows every morning since it was not being done by the staff...||The restaurant on property was closed, so that was really disappointing..only room service...I don't want to pay for room service, so I went to the grocery store and bought food instead...||ordered one meal there and it was not very good...basic overpriced food, not anything special...never quite could figure out how to order because the bar was closed during my stay on the Bungalow side and there were no waiters on that side...||Here is the other disconnect....When I am on vacation, I want to sit by the pool, order lunch, eat it by the pool and then cool off in the water after sitting in the 100 degree sun. Their "pool" is not a pool that you can submerbe your body in...it's only 18" deep! do you know what happens to 18" deep water in the desert sun? its ends up at 95 degrees....so it's too shallow to actually get into, and the water is too hot....so now I have to walk to the other side of the property to get into their pool...Granted this is a "first world" problem, but at the rates they are charging, it was a shame....||I understand the Bungalows had very low occupancy, but come on....send some staff over here to check on the few of us staying here from time to time...Put out water service on this side, not just on the other side of the property. If you don't have the staff to man this side, at least put out a sign that says "to order food and beverage, please dial zero"...||I think the shallow pool was a design flaw....I want to cool off in the desert heat, not heat up in hot water...it's gorgeous to look at, but impractical...||after reading the owner's bio it seems this property is more of a vanity project meant to garner international press....and visually it is quite deserving....but customer service is lacking for this price point...at $800 a night, a different level of service is needed completely...the door to my patio was broken, the bed was WAY too soft...lacked any type of support needed for a good night's sleep...had to ask for housekeeping at 5pm on two nights to come service my room....two light fixtures were broken. ||...the night staff were the nicest, and had the most knowledge, but many staff were lacking basic information about the area. I would just mention that I understand working with the public every day over time can leave a person jaded and exhausted....so I get it...I would watch the level of tone in the morning staff....the way tone in delivery comes across can be very important..||why am I being charged a $100 deposit for return of the room key? why aren't you using electric plastic keys? The last part that really stung is they took out $250 a night from my debit card account without even telling me in advance of that charge...a deposit per night...I won't get that money back for at least another 7-10 days from my bank....||my suggestions would be to have a separate entrance for the Bungalows with more seasoned staff..Stop charging a $45 a day fee for parking when you can just park right in front of your room. I would remove the dated entrance fountain from the front entrance of the hotel, as well as the same dated fountain as you exit the lobby and the front lobby doors need to be replaced...

Beautifully designed and meticulously crafted to say the least. Everything from the exterior of the bungalows to the interior design of the rooms was gorgeous. If you are looking for a quiet retreat to find some grounding while maintaining your love for modernism then look no further. The only thing I would love for Managment to improve is the bar area at the bungalows. A simple call button would work wonders vs. me waiting at the bar during business hours for a staff member to provide a service. I understand that the bungalows bar isn’t as busy but a simple call feature would make it easy for a guest to call for service. Other than that the staff was amazing along with the amenities of the facility. While enjoying my stay I visited a bar Cecil for some cocktails and caviar which was delightful.

Yelp
Just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful experience celebrating a birthday! When we arrived Matt welcomed us and valet our vehicle and helped with our luggage. When we stepped inside Briana at the front desk welcomed us with a glass of champagne. Checked us in and gave a tour of the property and assisted settling us in at our bungalow. They were very kind and attentive. The design of the bungalow is over the top classy and not overdone. The front of the bungalow is glass floor to ceiling looking out to the pool. Such a peaceful and relaxing setting. The staff was extremely attentive and provided all of our wants. We spent three wonderful evenings and we felt pampered- we were the only two at lounging pool our entire stay!! Weekdays seem to be very peaceful. My suggestion would be to spend the extra money to stay at the Herman Bungalows- well worth it!!

Yelp
We first discovered L'horizon and specifically the Hermann Bungalows after a trip to Santa Barbara was literally rained out. We booked through AMEX travel and found the last available room, a pool suite inside the Hermann Bungalows. (Warning, long (but thorough) post!) Excited to try something new, we locked it in that morning and left that afternoon for our adventure, and it didn't disappoint. In fact, we came back just two weeks after our wedding for a "mini moon" and again, the few here didn't disappoint. Here are a few things we love about this place: Vibe: The mid century modern aesthetic is totally on point. The attention to detail, the amenities, we love every minute of it. Each time we've stayed we find another new detail we didn't notice before. It's a Boutique: Some people come to Palm Springs to party it up and are looking for a place to be in the mix. This isn't that place. The entire hotel only has about 50 rooms it appears and only 20(?) of them are inside the Hermann Bungalow. It's intimate and refined with a down to earth persona that is welcoming and friendly. It's not stuffy like some of the big box lux resorts, not pretentious like some of the "exclusive" destinations, just the right balance of luxury, style, and personality. Not trying to do too much, just enough. The Food/Drinks: Each time we've stayed the food keeps getting better and better. We enjoyed dinner at SO.PA during our last visit (we just got back!) and enjoyed it so much we just decided to hang out the last night and do the same from the bar. Such an amazing night and it was great to try a range of dishes on the menu. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the people: Saving the best for last, it's the people here that really keep us coming back. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They help to make this place feel like a home away from home (a nice, luxury, vacation home away from home!). When we first arrived on our first visit Matt greeted us at valet and helped us to our room. We saw him the second time and it was like seeing an old friend. Brian helped us at valet and to our room when we arrived during our recent trip and helped us throughout the weekend. Such a cool guy but totally engaged and helpful. It's like he knew every guest. Behind the HB bar was Billy, who is a total mixologist. We started out from the menu and ended up just taking his advice each day! We enjoyed our time so much we ended up hanging out at the bar for meals and drinks just to take it all in, a real pro. Ivan and Ariel were working with Billy all weekend and they couldn't be more accommodating and friendly. At the L'horizon bar we hung out with the bartending pro Wendy. We actually met her the first trip too, and it was great to spend time with her again as well. In fact, we ended up spending two dinners with her at her bar, we enjoyed her presence that much. Knowledgeable, skilled, and just friendly. Sarah and Evelyn were great too and we also met Marcos for an evening too. Finally, Kelly, the F&B Director was incredible. As we've gotten to know him his fingerprints are all over and that's a great thing. No matter how busy or short staffed, he always shows up with a smile, great energy, and just the best demeanor at the place. He truly sets the tone and his work is great. We look forward to seeing him and his entire crew when we are there. Are there areas of opportunity? Of course! While we've gotten spa treatments there before and they are great, it would be awesome if they had a facility like other boutiques we've been to. But we've had good experiences non the less. Because it's a boutique hotel, sometimes getting food or drinks late is hard to do, although they do deliver food delivery to your room if you crave something after hours. Finally, on busy weekends the pool areas get busy and at times we haven't been able to sit because all of the seats were taken. It sounds like they are working on things like preventing people from holding spots all day or maybe even getting more chairs which will help. We already started seeing updates from our first to second visit. At the end of the day if you want a true boutique luxury experience, without the stuffiness of other properties, and without the formality of some of the big box resorts, this is the place for you. If you like the intimate feel with a great staff, you'll like this place like we love it.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible experience. This is one of the typical spots that closes you up with pictures and end ends up being nothing like what it is. They sell you on luxury and it's the furthest thing from it. I decided to treat myself for my birthday and get a bungalow for the weekend. As the hotel attendant is walking my wife and I to the bungalow, I notice that the pool in front of my room is 18 inches deep all around. What the heck am I supposed to do with an 18 inch pool. Of course there was a standard pool but I'm paying a thousand dollars a night to be pampered for once. The bar adjacent to my bungalow was closed. Here is the best part... Weather was 110. I step into my bungalow and no one had the decency to have the room set at a comfortable temperature. It was 88 degrees inside. Eventually was transferred to a nice ant infested room with a tablet that decided to function when it wanted. Other terrible notes.... Got a "spa" treatment for my wife and I. What spa? We were taken to some stuffy room in the back of the hotel with 2 massage beds. No sauna. No steam room. Nothing. They automatically charge for gratuities and I spent over $600 there. Room service food was just nasty. Don't stay here! You would think after all we were put through they would accommodate somehow. Nothing... Off we went back home.

Adam D.

Yelp
The owner of this property likes to save money. Bar is closed when spending thousands of dollars.. just to save on a few employees. Make sure you get the credits and check your bill before leaving. They will charge you for VALET PARKING. They really believe they are Las Vegas to charge 40$ a day for parking. Pathetic. Most of the regulars that used to come here understand that when you nickel and dime your customers, they won't return.

Yelp
We decided spontaneously to escape LA for a mini-vacation and sought the assistance of Amex Travel to secure a hotel affiliated with the five-star program. Among the options recommended, this particular hotel stood out despite its hefty price tag of over $1300 per night, leading me to anticipate a luxurious experience. However, it was the opposite! Located right next to a busy highway, the loud noise of cars and trucks could be heard inside the room day and night, making relaxation impossible. Despite our hopes, the hotel was virtually deserted, with only my wife, myself, and another couple present. We were so disappointed that we've decided to cut the "vacation" short and we drove back home the very next morning. It's unbelievable that Amex would endorse such a poor establishment. Even if offered for free, I wouldn't consider revisiting this place. My overall experience was nothing short of dreadful.

Sarah B.

Yelp
I so much wanted to give this place a 5* because I loved it. Beautiful, elegant.. the staff is extremely nice and attentive. BUT PLEASE get new mattresses! They are terrible, just impossible to rest on the bed. You sink in immediately... old or poor quality, or whatever. I would love to come back. I would pick this hotel over the Parker anytime, just please change the mattresses, any other firm mattress would've worked better. One other thing: the daily room cleaning was below average, you would expect more attention to details from a hotel of this kind.

Shannon H.

Yelp
To start, over priced and and really bad service. I never write bad reviews but quite honestly i would feel bad if i didn't warn others wanting a very nice weekend in the desert for $1,200 a night. Plenty of better options in PS.

Yelp
The best stay in all of Palm Springs! The staff all go above and beyond to make it a special experience. The Manager is very friendly and runs a tight ship. The staff all have great attitudes and are helpful all around. Diana at the reception desk warmly welcomes my wife and I every stay, and both Danny and William at the bar are excellent at their craft! We have stayed at both sides of the resort. Each is special in their own way, but our recent stay at the Herman Bungalows set the bar high! Thank you staff for making it a very special weekend and giving us a wonderful memory!

Yelp
The staff here is amazing. It was our anniversary, and they bent over backwards to make us feel special and welcomed.

Yelp
We arrived late last night and were quite excited for our stay. First time here. Greeted by lovely staff. However, I'm laying in bed unable to sleep because it's so cold, and the bed is atrocious. We can't run the heater because it's so loud that it sounds like a semi truck is mounted in the wall. It's also incredibly drying. As for the bed, my wife just told me that my side of the bed is worse. The bed is so soft and obviously on its last legs. They put a comforter on the top of the mattress hoping nobody would notice. My back notices! I treat backs for a living, so knowing bed quality is literally required of my work. Also, I love the retro facilities, but no charging ports near the bed, and no outlets to even plug in the phones... At these prices, one would expect a luxurious experience! Can't give a 1 star because of the kind professional staff ups it to a 2.

Yelp
Do not stay here! When we first arrived, I was really excited because I had heard great things about this place not to mention it was part of the AMERICAN EXPRESS fine hotels collection so I figured what could go wrong. We pulled into the driveway and I should mention that we drove around in circles looking for it because there's not any signage properly placed right at the entrance. When we arrived, the valet help my friends with their luggage, but then completely ignored me, and I had to carry my medium suitcase across gravel by myself struggling and when I asked him if I could put my suitcase on his luggage rack, he completely ignored me and when I try to give him my car key, he put his hand out and didn't even look at me. I should've been like maybe we should go stay somewhere else because we clearly weren't off to a good start but I figured maybe he had a bad morning and I was going to let it go. I came with two of my friends and I had intended to stay the night at another friends house that lives nearby part time and just spend the day with my friends at the pool, but when we arrived They told me that I couldn't enjoy the property unless I pay a $500 fee (more than the cost of just booking a room) or pay for a room for the night. Please keep in mind, This is not an all-inclusive resort so it does not matter to them whether or not I sit by the pool and in fact they were pretty empty because it was a Sunday. So I got a room instead of staying at my friends house because it would be less expensive not to mention the perks I get from AMERICAN EXPRESS. So I went online and booked a room. I figured I'll just take advantage of that so they told us what perks we got from booking through AMERICAN EXPRESS which included a free breakfast in the morning and $150 spa credit which we all three understood could be used towards food if we didn't use the spa credit( which later we were told that wasn't the case) I later checked into my room separately from my friends, which was not ideal considering again I hadn't intended to pay for any room. We went and sat by the pool and asked the pool attendance if there was any open chairs because there were dirty towels all over all of them and we could not tell which ones were available and which ones were currently in use, 10 minutes later we sat down and asked if we could order lunch. No one came back to check on us so then we walked up to the bar and ordered lunch and I told them would be wanting to order drinks if they could come by no one ever came by they were all so busy talking to one another instead of checking on everybody who is sitting by the pool. I actually don't think that at any point someone ever came by to take anyone's to order that for the most part I saw everybody walking up to the bar to place an order for food or drinks. We got ready and went to dinner and after I went back to my room and I noticed that there were some bugs in it and most of them were in the bathroom and I figured oh it's just because the showers are indoor and outdoor but later that night when we came back from dinner, I noticed a lot more bugs and it's because there's no weatherproofing separating the showers. Therefore, you will have bugs in your room all night long and will not sleep because you feel like they're crawling on you. I Struggled to get the blinds closed and open the next morning not to mention the Wi-Fi rarely works and for the amount that you're paying to be there none of these things should've ever been an issue. The next morning we went and had breakfast by the pool cause it's the only place you can have breakfast other than sitting in your room. The restaurant is not open before dinner which makes zero sense. He also tried to charge me for the free breakfast, and I had to fight with the front desk to get them to remove the charge. Then left to drive back home and once I got home, I noticed that the valet had, scratched my car when putting my suitcase in the trunk. I then called the hotel to talk to them and they were incredibly rude. It took hours for the manager to call me back not to mention. It is now been 24 hours since I initially spoke to the manager and asked him to review the camera footage and sent him pictures of my car and still have not received a callback from them. Don't waste your time your money your energy or what could be a relaxing weekend at this place.

John E.

Yelp
After checking in, we went to the pool in front of our bungalow to find that many of the lounge chairs were empty, but reserved by towels and personal items (e.g., sunscreen). We called the front desk and ask for 2 additional chairs, which were promised but never delivered. After an 1+hrs we asked the staff if reserving chairs was typical. They said the policy was to remove such items if no one was present after 20mins. They then removed the towels from 2 chairs for us to use. A bit later, a very disgruntled couple emerged from the front of the hotel demanding their chairs back. We explained the situation, which was only met with more hostility. I appreciated their frustration and would have thought the hotel would be more accommodating by bringing additional chairs, especially given the price and "exclusivity" of the bungalow area. At minimum, they could have reinforced their own policy and shown a bit more support, to both parties. To the F&B manager's credit, he later offered a complimentary bottle of champagne. Unfortunately, it was flat and not drinkable. Since then, we've attempted to contact the general manager to discuss further, to no avail. The hotel promised to, "... offer you an indulging experience to let you unwind and fully escape daily life". Instead I found myself wanting to escape the hotel. Unfortunate, because the entire uncomfortable experience was very avoidable.

Yelp
I have found my place in Palm Springs ! Do yourself the favor . The rooms are fantastic , the view , and the vibe . Each room is a bungalow , the interior is amazing . It's private , secluded, 21+, and the customer service is exceptional !!! Also they treated us with a champagne glass at reception welcome !

Yelp
We stayed at the "L Horizon" this weekend in the "Residence" 5 star all the way! The "Residence" comes with your own private pool and complete privacy! We definitely felt like we were staying in "Old Hollywood" The staff here at L Horizon is on point! Very accommodating, friendly, punctual and attentive! We will definitely will be back!!

Yelp
I'll start by saying the staff is polite and attentive, which is a huge plus, especially in hospitality. The property is quaint and rather small. The photos online are definitely deceiving along with the descriptions of amenities. I understand we are in COVID times, but my issues are with the property and amenities themselves. The bungalows are very small and DARK. There are a few lights with old school Edison light bulbs. They look nice, but are useless. In the desert night, it's impossible to see anything in the room while getting ready, etc. The bathrooms are rather small and again, there is very dim lighting! The light fixture is two Edison bulbs and no makeup mirror or sufficient lighting above the vanity. Our sink also backed up and didn't drain properly, which was a bummer and a little gross. My brother stayed with us at another bungalow and his toilet backed up, so I'm wondering if there are plumbing problems on the property. Lastly, my biggest gripe was the A/C, or lack thereof. All website advertise "Nest thermostat". There was a Nest device in our bungalow, but it did nothing. Was not on and was there for "looks" as the manager described to me. The A/C was not central because of the bungalow situation, so they had the built in coolers and our temperature did not go down past 68 and it did not blow enough air. I expected the air, in the middle of summer, to be functioning at full capacity, so we were in puddles of sweat every night. I reached out to the hotel afterwards to explain my concerns and the manager refunded us our resort fee--$79. This was laughable and somewhat insulting considering the basic bungalow goes for $400-500 per night. We paid over $1,000 for the hotel alone, not to mention the food and drink we ordered the 2.5 days we were there. Furthermore, we were a group of three couples staying at the resort that weekend. 3 bungalows, 2 nights each, do the math. I think they could have done better, so I'm pretty disappointed in how they handled my complaint. The manager was pleasant and understanding, but the resolution was subpar. He also suggested we visit the property again and he will upgrade us, as we visit Palm Springs (we are from OC) for work quite often. I'll pass--I will not be visiting this property again.

Yelp
What a relief of a resort!!! All staff was 5 stars incredible. Food was amazing, pool was clean and not crowded, and air conditioning was on point! They charged our Tesla for us and we're able to extend our stay at our request. Shout out to the excellent service by Ricardo and Collin at the front desk and Omar and Kelly serving us. We appreciate the positive attitude and friendly service :) We will absolutely be back!!

Yelp
Great get away from the hustle and bustle. The staff, service and property is/are amazing and exceptional. We plan on going back soon.

Yelp
I always get a good laugh when I read one star reviews, especially when my experience is no where near what the experienced...or maybe I'm just a more realistic person and don't expect to be treated like royalty, or a place built in the 40s to be completely modern, or the costs in a resort town to be what they are. My wife and I have stayed here twice now. Both times with the same results. Amazing! Every staff member has been awesome (maybe some of the negative people out there should learn to treat others like people and not servants), food and drinks were great, rooms were awesome (especially the Herman Bungalows), and the entire atmosphere of the property as a whole was very peaceful, lush with vegetation, and inviting. I don't usually write reviews. But with the laughable negative reviews I've read about this place, I felt I needed to put a realistic person's opinion in a review

Yelp
The staff is amazing! Girl just called me to tell us our driver left. He gets 1 star but the staff here gets 19 stars. Everyone from the front staff to the bartender has been wonderful. Just worked a 65 hour week and needed a place to relax. This is home. We will make it a regular adventure to come hang out with everyone here. Thank you L horizon for allowing us to relax and having our backs! A million stars and a million tips for this staff.

Yelp
I love this beautiful resort. I wish I had more time to enjoy it but alas, I was only here for one day. I arrived late in the afternoon/evening after a long drive from the Sequoia national park (7 hours and L.A. traffic). This is the kind of boutique hotel where the staff remember your name and everyone knows you. They welcome you when you pull up by name, they've been expecting you, and they personally show you to your room and orient you with the resort. Everyone greeted me by name (even people I hadn't met formally) during my stay and I had called ahead for dinner reservations and was thrilled to have a lovely meal on-site 30 minutes after check-in. I was greeted promptly for valet and the manager helped bring my bags to the room. Everything was taken care of for me. Which was very relaxing after a 7-hour drive! Everything is classy and, of course, mid-century modern. The rooms are elegantly finished and the cute personalized name plate keepsake on the bungalow is a really cute touch! It's the little things people!!! My bungalow faced the pool and had a great view. I especially loved the glass-walled shower with the small desert garden outside - it really made it feel like an indoor-outdoor shower (reminded me of my trip to Bali last September). I took photos of it because it was GORGEOUS and I plan to try to install something similar in my home if I ever have a chance.... it really opened up the space in the bathroom. The bungalow was a haven and you could easily open the glass sliding doors (basically a wall of windows facing the pool) and walk out that way for more direct access to the amenities on the inside of the resort like the pool, spa and bar. I had breakfast at the bar the following morning and had a delicious acai bowl with warm tea. I spoke to a few of the other guests and found a woman who was from Hawaii but was remodeling a beautiful house in Palm Springs for her weekends/vacations and spoke to a couple from London who said they had never been to the area but suggested I visit a local hike. I spent an hour by the gorgeous pool before I had to pack up and leave. If I am ever in Palm Springs again - this is where I will stay. No questions asked.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here over the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and mini-babymoon. It came highly recommended to us from a co-worker so we were excited to stay here. We had some hesitation a few days prior due to some of the negative reviews but wanted to go with an open mind of course. Pros: the property was clean. Mid-century style bungalows. Valet service. Front desk staff was very nice, made us feel welcomed, accommodating, efficient (Scott). Bed was comfy. Shower was great. Our bungalow had a private front and back patio which was really nice! Food/drinks were good. Pool chairs were comfy. Pool water was the perfect temperature. Adults only so the property was quiet, people were nice and respectful. Each bungalow had their own gold plated, engraved plaque on its door with your name on it that you can take home, nice touch! Cons: I understand that due to Covid a lot of places are short staffed...but the pool service was just awful! We had to constantly remind them that we were waiting for our drinks/food which was frustrating. Service took forever and we heard others complain about it too. Not enough umbrellas for every 2 chairs which are very much needed in the PS sun/heat! Also not enough towels for everyone. Lastly, if you're Covid conscious, masks are not required as you walk around the property - fyi. Overall, despite the lack of pool service, we very much enjoyed our weekend and will definitely be back!

Yelp
I had such high hopes for this resort. The photos online are gorgeous and set expectations for a high end boutique restaurant with excellent service. Well, that's all a facade. TL;DR - the hotel is poorly run, the staff seems to hate working there and it ruins the guest experience, rooms are nicely designed but functionally poor and if something goes wrong, they don't make up for it. 1. Rooms: the design is nice if you don't look closely. The construction is so shoddy and maintenance so poor that things are falling apart and not working properly. The doors to the rooms get stuck, locks don't turn, faucets are coming off the sink, shower head not function. The mattresses are horrible!!!! They're soft and jiggly. If your partner moves, the entire bed shakes. And they have a down pillow cover on the mattress that has hardened feathers that dig into your back. Worst of all, the mini split A/Cs are faulty. In 105 degree weather that is just unacceptable. Ours stopped working in the middle of the night and the front desk guy couldn't fix it other than to put it on turbo mode, with the wind blasting on us on the bed. He tried to move us to a worse room RIGHT by the lobby in the middle of the night. I asked if they had anything else further from the lobby and he said no. We chose to stay rather than move in the middle of the night. Who wants to move in the middle of the night after i had thoroughly unpacked to a worse room? The next morning, we were woken at 5am by the A/C making squeaky noises. So, a total of 3 hours of sleep on vacation while away from the kids. . Next day, manager offered to move us to a different room that was considered an "upgrade" bc it has a fireplace (which nobody would use in 105 degree weather). The room was fine, no better than the junior suite we were in, but at least AC worked...so why didn't the front desk guy offer that? He said bc management would need to approve since the fireplace is considered an upgrade. Wow! Well, there's no manager in the middle of the night and so instead they made us suffer... the upgrade wasn't even much of an upgrade. And after all that, the manager thought he was being so kind by taking a pathetic 10% off the room! 10% for a disaster of a night is just rude. They should have comped that entire night. 2. Service. See above about hotel room service... they really missed the memo on going above and beyond when they screw up. Pool service is terrible. The guys are all nice enough, but you can really tell they hate working there. They don't smile and seem upset. They stand at the bar and avoid eye contact with people at the pool, and rarely come by to check if you want to order anything. I think this is all a reflection of management. When the staff is this unhappy to work somewhere, there's definitely something going on. We went out on the town the next night and talked to the staff at a much nicer hotel who validated this hypothesis for us. When she heard we were staying at L'Horizon, she said she used to work there and hated it. She said the guys who work there also hate it and suck at their jobs. She made great drinks, by the way! 3. Pool was COLD! Who wants to pay to stay at a nice resort where they don't heat the pool? It was difficult to get into. Other than that, it's clean and pretty.

Yelp
The first time i called to upgrade our room the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and told "i am busy and can't upgrade" when i expressed worry about staying there due to poor customer service she said "you do what you have to do then put me on hold" the guy i talked to after was much better so we decided to go anyways. I will say this one lady was the main problem and I am pretty sure she was the one who lost our Tesla key. The rest of the staff was amazing. We rented the suite one step down from their biggest suite. The room had never been used before. The spa at night didn't heat up. The bathtub didn't have any hot water pressure and the fireplace kept breaking. Also the bedroom didn't have any vents so the bedroom was cleaned and really hot. Finally on our third night the air conditioning broke and they moved us to the best suite they had. The suite was fine but the pool was dirty and There was a dead bug in the shower. The water didn't get hot either in the shower and tub. Plus the ac in the front rooms didn't work well. What went right The bar staff was amazing and the valet was so great. Also the food was good but the menu was a little small choice wise. The spa services were meh We have had lots of massages and I felt like my masseuse wasn't as skilled at massages. I did a full body massage and she didn't even do my feet The trip ended when the lady at the front desk lost our Tesla key in our car and just said sorry we looked everywhere and can't find it. We were also told that management would reach out to us since we had so many problems but they never did. This was not valet, valet wasn't in yet and she was trying to charge our car which didn't happen either. I was always polite and kind to everyone bc I don't believe in being mean or throwing a fit to get my way. Even though the issues over all were numerous we didn't get upset but we definitely won't be back.

Yelp
There is a lot to love about this hotel. First of all it is very small. They are all private and separate Casitas. So, it's like you have your own house. The decor is gorgeous. It would be absolutely perfect to have an intimate wedding or event. I dream of renting the whole place and having friends and family only. That would be so cool. When I was there I was disappointed in the air conditioning. It was really hot. There was only a little wall unit that was not cool enough!

Yelp
This was our 2nd stay at L'Horizon & it continues to be one of our favorite boutique hotels in Palm Springs. The best thing about this hotel is you aren't fighting any crowds or kids in the pool! This adults-only hotel only has a handful (I want to say less than 30?) rooms throughout the property. They only allow hotel-guests to use the pool, which makes this the perfect place to truly escape. There is always a ton of seating, cabanas & day-beds around the pool. We always go to this hotel in the busier seasons, & we have only seen a maximum of 10-15 people using the pool. You really feel like a celebrity in this secluded paradise! Rooms: We booked 2 deluxe bungalows, & the front desk upgraded both of our rooms for us! The rooms have a very chic & modern design with luxuries like, Frette bedding & Le Labo Santal 33 bath products. The rooms itself need a little maintenance as a lot of the items look rather warn & probably due for a replacement soon. Design: The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful. Every inch of the hotel is very "instagram worthy" with lush landscaping & beautiful interior design & architecture throughout. Service: This hotel has many special touches to make it feel like a 5-star hotel. Upon check-in they greet you with a glass of champagne and the bellboy escorts you to your room & gives you a tour of all the amenities of the room & property. We liked the nightly turndown service where they put Frette slippers at your bedside & a plate of cookies. We also love how instead of room numbers, they engrave your last name into a gold plaque & place that on the room door. The hotel really strives to give you a 5-star hotel experience but sometimes misses the mark. Because this hotel is very small, it sometimes feels under-staffed. In the morning we called to have more Nespresso pods brought to the room, 1.5 hours later, we never received any. We just went to the front-desk & asked from them ourselves. Food & Drink: Whenever we come to this hotel, we always just stay in the pool all day, so having good poolside food & drinks are very important to us. The bartenders do a great job at circling the pool and checking if we need any more drinks or food. All the drinks are very refreshing and delicious. The food options are a little less appealing, with mostly heavy & warm foods. We definitely prefer light salads, ceviche, chips & quac, etc poolside, but they didn't have any of those options. Out of all the hotel we have stayed at in Palm Springs, this continues to be our favorite due to the private & secluded feeling of this boutique hotel. This really is the perfect spot if your ideal vacation is to be relaxing by the pool!

Yelp
My wife and I checked in for a weekend getaway with another couple. Upon checking in, valet guy asked if we wanted to leave our clubs in car, he claimed it was safe to do so. That night our car was miraculously broken into with no alarm going off while in the "secure" valet area. Somehow they knew what 3 sets to take (PXG clubs) yet left one cheaper set. The manager made his way over hours later and offered nothing but excuses and lack of accountability. Months later and this "5 star" hotel is still fighting with our insurance company to pay nothing. They even attempted to charge us for valet upon check out. There is no justification for their prices. Nice resort but poor customer service. Many better options for 1/2 the price. Look elsewhere

Yelp
Stay there for two nights for my birthday. Before checking out we took off all the sheets from the bed to make sure we weren't gonna leave anything behind. To our surprise we found a feminine hygiene product stuck to our sheets that had been there for the whole two night stay. After bringing it to managements attention they took off a $35 resort fee. Call the hotel manager and sent an email and it's now been over a week with no response.

Yelp
Staying at this resort this weekend. The customer service is not great. We were gone all day and come to our room around 4:45pm and the room is not clean. We ask the front desk why the room has not been serviced all day. His response, "we didn't get to it and all the cleaning crew has left for the day." There are only 25 rooms at this resort, how can you forget to service a room?! Aaron in the front office was very rude. His service makes this resort not a very nice place to be. Our room service food from this morning was sitting in the room all day. This is not acceptable when you are spending so much money to stay here. I would not come back here. I highly recommend that you don't either.

Yelp
Just got back from my day-cation at L'Horizon and I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. Pulling up the entrance, my husband and I loved the already "private" and secluded vibe because the hotel is hidden behind a lovely hedge. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the most amazing gentleman at the valet and he made us feel welcomed and comfortable. My husband I have never stayed at a place like this so naturally, we felt out of place and weird since we've never used the valet service anywhere or received this kind of pampering. The valet attendant escorted us to the front desk alongside our things. At the main desk, we got the most amazing customer service from the manager, Francisco. He was extremely helpful, personable and he answered all our questions to ensure that we had the best stay! The room and the property itself is beautiful! Very mid-century modern! The use Le Labo Santal 33 products for the bathroom and that small detail made my stay that much more great because I am a huge Le Labo fan and it made me feel luxurious ;) The king size bed was beyond comfortable and I dreaded having to leave because I got some of the best night sleep in my life. The room was clean and well kept. Overall, everything blew my mind! You get gorgeous views of the mountains from the pool area and every single staff member we encountered was pleasant and just so kind. We even made friends with other people who were staying there and we didn't get any pretentious vibes from anyone. That's what I loved about L'Horizon. That despite how beautiful it is, you don't feel excluded or like toy don't belong or like you're not hip enough. The hotel goes out of their way to make you feel like you're a guest from beginning to end! I loved staying here and I don't care to stay at any other hotel in the area. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner there the other night. It was an enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere and the food were both excellent. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They made us feel welcomed and special. We highly recommend trying the restaurant. Lou C.

Yelp
want to start by saying that this review is one I wish I didn't have to write, and one I feel that should be written. I absolutely love L'horizon Palm Springs. I've stayed there numerous amounts of times and have always felt comfortable, special and taken care of on my most recent trip to Palm Springs, I decided to surprise a very special person in my life with the L'horizon experience. Everything was as expected, courteous attentive staff, the check-in was a breeze, Chris at the front desk was lovely. we waited at the bar for our valet to assist with our bags and be taken to our room. Kelly, The Bar Manager, and all-around solid dude met us with a smile and made us feel really welcome. everything was going great... until the very next morning... I won't get into what situation we encountered, because that is not the point of this review, this review is to point out how well the team at L'horizon managed the situation and took care of our needs as they were presented. every business will have a hiccup, no one is perfect. what impresses me is how any business takes care of the problem, and how they accommodate their guests/clients/customers' needs. Mark, The manager of the hotel, dealt with us fairly and addressed our problem swiftly and with care. I thank him for that, and Joana, and everyone else who was lovely to us. Though I wish I could give this place all the stars it deserves under normal circumstance, I have to be fair and speak from the heart. This stay was not as special as I wish it had been, but I look forward to giving L'horizon another shot in the near future and hope that better tidings await.

Yelp
CLASSY is the word! Serene... due to no kids Quaint Friendly staff GOURMET quality food Perfect place to get away from it all!! Well done and very deserving on the rating in Condé Nast traveler.

Yelp
We had a fabulous getaway at L'Horizon Resort and the Hermann Bungalows. The room was top-notch with beautiful decor and amenities, the food was excellent, the cocktails were delicious, the wine selections were great, and the team members were polite and professional. The pool at the bungalows was perfect for lounging. The main pool at the resort was heated and perfect for a swim. While every staff member was super, a special thanks to Donai and Kelly for their professional care to ensure that our stay was a perfect one. We will be back.

Yelp
I had the most amazing getaway here with my bff! Really like the boutique vibe of this hotel. Right when we checked in we were offered a glass of champagne to start the weekend off right! The pool is nice and quiet, perfect vibe if you are looking to relax. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to check out their outdoor spa but it looked amazing! Hope to return here again soon!

Yelp
A M A ZING place to stay. Beautiful grounds and beautiful bungalows. The service personnel were super nice especially Raul at the front desk. It's adult only which is perfect. The pool is amazing and heated. Every and I mean everything was awesome !!!

Yelp
This "hotel" is a pig with lipsticks !! Just looks good on the picture!! As soon as you walk in the please is dirty, under staff and food is mediocre! Go to the Parker !

Yelp
This resort is so special I almost dont want to share! The location is central, next to Ace and Saguaro and grocery stores. Steve Hermann redesigned this space into a mid-century modern architecture desert oasis. It's a luxury boutique hotel, so no outside guests but I feel like that's warranted because after going to the Parker Palm Springs it was like a zoo in there. If you want nice serene weekend getaway this is the best place to stay. We went on a very hot weekend, high was 114 degrees. BUT the service was so kind and so on top of things the heat didn't even bother me that much. We stayed by the pool and we were always taken care of, the drink service, ample water refills and ice towels to cool off. The brunch by the pool and room service breakfast were both delicious. One of the best pancakes I have ever tasted. Crispy on the edges and fluffy inside. The room was designed so modern and impeccable. I loved all the decor and especially the Frette bed sheets and slippers. I also appreciated the apple tv so we could watch netflix :) The bathroom with the indoor/outdoor shower was divine too! The fresh baked cookies during downturn was a nice touch too. They provide shuttle service too-we were driven and picked up from the Parker where we had dinner. I will definitely have to try SOPA on our next stay since the food at L'Horizon was exceptional.

Angham A.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. They didn't have rooms ready today so I stayed elsewhere but still a nice property. I didn't want to leave less than five stars but I do believe the front office staff could be friendlier, especially on the phone, and it's always nice to receive a warm welcome... would be nice if that could be better.

Yelp
As a Palm Springs wedding photographer (Lovisa Photo), I have the opportunity to work at many beautiful wedding venues, but none have captured my attention quite like the L'Horizon Resort. This wedding venue is simply stunning in the most effortless way. The property has so many beautiful spots to photograph couples on their wedding day. If you are looking for a palm springs wedding venue, you must check out L'Horizon Resort & Spa.

Yelp
This is the first time I'm writing a bad review about a hotel. 1. We booked the hotel through Amex, which allows for early check-in at 12pm if room available. We arrived at 1:30pm ish and were told that no room was available at that time. We totally understand and told the front desk lady to call or text us when the room is ready. We never got any notification! We waited until 4pm, which is the guaranteed check-in time. Then we decided to go back and ask. We came back to the hotel around 4:40pm, and we were offered with a very strange room, irregular shape, no nest system, also close to the valet. You can literally hear the cars beep on the bed. When we walk in to the room , it was a bit shocking how small the room is, but we were told this was the last room available since the hotel is fully booked. If I'm really the last person who arrived at the hotel, I could accept this arrangement. But we arrived early, and waited, and got the least likable room... 2. The front desk lady booked our dinner appointment wrong! We asked for 7pm but got a call from the restaurant a little after 6pm, who said we passed our reservation time. It turns out she booked our reservation for 5:50pm and now the restaurant don't have any availability until 7:30pm! We told the restaurant it was the front desk who mixed up our appointment, so the manager said we can come at 7pm. But it turns out when we arrive at the restaurant at 7pm, we were told to sit and wait until 7:30pm to be served!!! They just can not serve us at the moment for whatever god damn reason! We waited for 30min and didn't even get a glass of water! And when 7:30pm arrive, guess what? Nobody came to serve us at all! We are basically forced to leave and find another restaurant for dinner. This is just beyond ridiculous! To be honest, this is the worst experience I have ever had. It gets very frustrating especially if you are seeking a resort like experience!

Yelp
If you want to stay in a room that has that "old dead grandma" musty smell, the Tangier Suite is most definitely the room for you. Sounds of water running incessantly and tivoli (sp.) lights were on the entire night: spilling into the room, "AC" blows warm air which is super amazing as the hotel is in the desert, and waking up at 6am to what sounded like the above guests were doing f'ing parkour....made it out to be such a horrendous experience. Hope this helps. Maybe other rooms are better without the feeling like you are breathing in hep b.

Yelp
Mid-century modern at its best! We had an amazing stay. Service is top notch and the rooms are beautifully designed and decorated. All skincare, shampoo, etc. by Le Labo. Pool is nice and you have a 5 hour, or so timeframe of sun which was nice. Only thing I had an issue with was the $150 pet stay charge that was not disclosed during the booking, which was subsequently removed after I explained that to them. My dog and pocketbook appreciate it:)

Yelp
This is a very nice boutique resort, a hidden gem in the Palm Springs area. Customer Service: Outstanding and impeccable. From the moment you check in, you can feel the ambience of service and friendliness. The staff treated us very well and they deserve lots of credit. Location: Not far from downtown Palm Springs, and driveable to most attractions in the Coachella Valley. In addition, Elmer's (restaurant diner) is literally next door and walking distance if you feel like eating without splurging at the hotel's restaurant. Pool: Another highlight and nearly divine. The pool is saltwater and warmed at 86 degrees. Lots of areas to lounge around the pool and a hot tube too. The pool is 24 hours but quiet time after 10 PM. FYI, this resort is adults only so you will not find any kids splashing around or doing canon balls. Parking: Parking is valet, which can be cumbersome and annoying. I wish they had a bigger lot or option to self park but the space is limited. Overall: 4.5 stars, I wish I could give it a full 5 star but the cost and parking kind of bring the review down. Currently Yelp has this at 3.5 stars which I strongly disagree with and hope that other guests find this resort as enjoyable as we did.

Yelp
Of all boutique hotels in sunny Palm Springs this hotels deserves nothing less than 5 stars!! I've stayed at tons of hotels and Airbnb's here and I must say this by far is the sexiest most romantic place to stay. After staying here I was sold the dream of buying a vacation home here in Palm Springs. Even though we now have a beautiful home here my husband and I still love coming for dinner to walk the grounds. Wonderful customer service and the most beautiful spacious rooms one could ask for. Finally a hotel that got it right on the money. Not to mention the amazing food at the restaurant. Can't forget that. Great job to this establishment I truly feel at home here.

Yelp
Agree with the comment in another review - seems nice but will leave you feeling like it's not worth it for the price. Went for a birthday weekend. Had a nice room, nice view of the pool. Bed was claimed to be a king but we have a king bed at home and this was definitely smaller, more likely a queen. Also wasn't very comfortable, I woke up with a sore back and neck. There were no outlets anywhere near the bed for charging devices. And the drain in the shower didn't drain properly, leaving a water mess all over the floor. For the price, the food was only okay. Service was good but the place is so expensive that in the long run we just decided it wasn't worth it and won't be coming back. They also charged us an additional $300 cleaning fee for something that was completely outside of our control.

Yelp
Oh where to begin? How about with my valet'd car getting broken into and $15,000 worth of golf clubs/gear being stolen? When we arrived the valet asked us if we were planning on leaving the clubs in the car. We said yes since their lot is gated and supposedly security cameras installed. When we asked to get our car the front desk girl came to our room 30 minutes later and said she had some "unfortunate" news. The unfortunate news was the way they handled the situation. After she told us the cameras weren't working...she gave us a free cup of coffee like we were supposed to be thankful. I spent the day dealing with insurance companies, police reports, etc... Sooooo....I'm thinking the hotel will do something to make this right...nope. Not only did they not comp anything...they even tried to charge me for the valet!!!! Here I am 3 months later and still getting ignored from management and their insurance company. HORRIBLE! Next...it was nasty. The rooms are dark and creepy. You could have told me this was a Motel Inn charging $45/night and it would have made more sense. Charging over $600/night is beyond ridiculous. While we were outside waiting for the manager to speak to us about the car vandalism, the one bartender/server spilled half and half by the table next to us. She left it there and didn't bother to clean it up. Then the manager also ignored it. It sat there and rotted all day. Disgusting. They're severely short staffed and you have to wait a long time for any pool side service (which is the only service due to COVID). I could go on and on but this place isn't worth any more of my time. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Yelp
I hate to give this place a lower rating. I really wanted to love this place. From the website it looks amazing. When we arrived the staff was amazing. Everyone was really friendly. They even offered us sparkling wine as we were checking in. Our room was nice, but was located on the busy road. At night it was so loud with vehicles driving by. Then we must have shared a wall with the kitchen. We could hear dishes clanging people laughing. It was very hard to sleep. Then at 4:00 AM someone dropped a pot and woke us up. So much for a relaxing getaway. Cool little spot but our experience trying to get a good night sleep was less than what we expected considering how pricey the room is. If you're considering this place bring earplugs & request a room away from the Main Street.

Yelp
We stayed here for our anniversary a couple years ago. I love the fact that each room is a stand alone cabin with a small private patio and an outdoor shower. The interior of each unit is nicely appointed. We had couples massages in the premises. The pool area is a great place to hang out with a cabana with full bar and food service. We really enjoyed our stay.
