This hotel is hard to beat on price, location and the included breakfast.
Syntagma square/train station is a 5 minute walk, the acropolis 10-15 minutes and lots of shops/ restaurants starting a block away.
The rooms are small, but if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and spend most of the day out and about, it’s fine.
Bed was comfortable but the pillows where very flat.
Breakfast was great, wide selection of American and European foods.
We spoke with 5 different staff members and only one was particularly helpful. I didn’t get her name, she worked nights while we were there and was the youngest woman employee we saw. She was excellent, had great recommendations on places to eat, suggestions to alter our itinerary to make things easier and was just over all helpful.
My wife and I got bit by something every single night we were here. We checked the bed and saw no evidence of bed bugs and the bites were not indicative either (we’ve dealt with bed bugs in the past and know what to look for). However when we brought the bites up to the staff we were met with resistance. They said it was a reaction to a food allergy (neither of us have any food allergies), they said we got bit while we were outside and had a reaction hours later, my wife was told she was lying about seeing, photographing and squishing a bug in our room. I understand they can’t really do anything about spider/mosquito bites but I did not like being told it was a food allergy and to not worry about it.
