28 Best Places for Shopping in Paris | Condé Nast Traveler

"Refreshed and reopened in 2018, I noticed this Hermès boutique in the Golden Triangle spans three levels and about 5,900 square feet, distinguished outside by a beautifully restored wood-paneled façade and gilded lettering; inside the design balances airy, contemporary touches (gray-blue marble, mosaic floors) with traditional details and the brand’s signature orange, making the space as much a draw as the merchandise." - Lindsey Tramuta

I recently got the Hermès Apple Watch, and overall I’ve been very impressed. The build quality feels premium — the casing is solid, and it gives that luxury finish you expect from a high-end timepiece. The Hermès band is surprisingly comfortable: whether it’s the woven or leather version, it hugs the wrist nicely without feeling rigid or scratchy, making it great for all-day wear. On the health front, the watch delivers everything I need: accurate heart rate monitoring, excellent fitness-tracking capabilities, and seamless integration with Apple’s health ecosystem. The health functions are just as capable as a standard Apple Watch, but you get that Hermès elegance too. That said, at its price point, you’re definitely paying for the Hermès name — but if you value both style and substance, this is a very comp

I walked into the FSH flagship on a bustling Saturday—its busiest day, beloved by local Parisians who shop with family in true Hermès tradition. Amid the stylish chaos, I was guided by the poised and intuitive Mel, who quickly oriented me to the store’s layout and arranged personalized appointments across departments. Her grace set the tone for an exceptional experience. In the jewelry salon, I met Nuttie, a seasoned expert whose warmth, candor, and deep understanding of Hermès made the visit unforgettable. She thoughtfully addressed my sizing challenges, offered insight into future collections, and secured a hard-to-find ring in my size with effortless elegance. Truly, she is the Jewelry Queen of FSH. Next, I was introduced to Dexter in Men’s Ready-to-Wear. With a luxury hospitality background, Dexter brought unmatched professionalism and taste. He curated options tailored to my style and body type with sensitivity and zero pressure. We spent over three hours together, and not once did I feel rushed. Even when I interrupted his lunch, he graciously continued with care and charm. I returned days later to check on my ring and was greeted by Raphaëlle, who was calmly handling a demanding crowd at the leather appointment desk. Her poise and kindness were remarkable, and she generously extended me a walk-in appointment. That led me to Victoria, a tenured leather expert of over 20 years. She offered thoughtful insights on bags and colorways, and though I was offered a quota bag, the color wasn’t for me. Still, Victoria’s empathy and expertise made the moment feel deeply personal. ⸻ Final Thoughts Despite arriving on the busiest day, my experience felt intimate and luxurious. The seamless care from Mel, Nuttie, Dexter, Raphaëlle, and Victoria transformed my visit into something extraordinary. This wasn’t just shopping—it was a masterclass in Parisian elegance. Rating: 1,000,000 out of 5 stars. — Dr. Gabriel J. Martinez-Diaz

A beautiful place full of history (and people! Beware!) to visit. Hermès is THE oldest french luxury brand still in activity. This historic flagship is a place to admire as much as browse. Lots of old paintings, collector's artefacts decorate the shop. Admire the old elevators, the ceilings... Everything ! You won't be disappointed by your visit.

What an experience! I honestly had very very low expectations. Having had bad experiences at the Dubai store and many other stores where from the get go I was told there is nothing they can sell me. I still tried my luck at the rue du Faubourg Paris store. Initially, the lady told me that I had to have an appt so again I thought she was just going to show me how to get one. Then she asked for my profile and I informed her that I only bought bracelets online and perfume and make up but in Dubai so I don’t think I am registered. I wasn’t at least not in France. She asked me to wait and I still thought I am waiting to be given an appt at another date. Then a lovely person named Axel came and asked me what I would like. I confidently asked for the bag I wanted and he said he will be checking the stock. Of course, at this stage I was sure he would come back and say they have nothing left except yellow color 🤣🤣 but no he came back with multiple options and what followed was even more impressive. He took the time to show me the colors and the different bags one by one. I was being indecisive but did not feel one time that he was annoyed. He could see I was genuinely torn but wanted to buy the bag so he did the real role of an advisor. I loved the experience and came back the next day for bracelets. Hermes is an experience but the stores outside France have forgotten that unfortunately. I recommend going to Paris and to this store in particular and ask for Axel !!! He is a gem. I hope he continues working there until my next visit ;)

Shopping at Hermès is consistently a disappointing experience. The staff behave as though they’re doing you a favor. They’re rarely friendly or welcoming—considering that people are spending serious money here. During my visit, I was left waiting far too long and I had to speak up to finally get help. The store feels overly busy and impersonal, stripping away any sense of luxury. Honestly, I ask myself why I even bother giving my money to a company that treats customers this way when there are countless skilled leather makers offering more attentive service and better experiences? At this point, I’d rather pay extra for custom-made pieces than deal with the Hermès attitude. At least at other stores they provide you with a sales person as you enter, otherwise the attitude is the same worldwide. They are definitely losing their sense of exclusivity and luxury.

The shopping experience at FSH is truly one of a kind. Aside from the world's largest selection of clothing, accessories, and jewellery, every visit we make is an unforgettable experience due to the exceptional level of customer service at this boutique. I am incredibly grateful to all the store staff, from the security guards to the sales assistants, and even the people serving drinks. All staff members exhibit an extremely high level of personal culture, they are attentive to customers' needs, and possess extensive knowledge of the brand. I particularly appreciate the work of Louis, who, as a Customer Care Specialist, took care of us from the moment we entered the store. His dedication, knowledge, and personal manner deserve a 10-star rating on a five-star scale. I truly appreciate the time he spent with us, sharing his knowledge of the Hermes brand, and assisting with my purchases. I would also like to thank Ludovik for making my shopping experience exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to FSH to experience the unique atmosphere of the Hermes brand.

I understand that the product I ordered does not come in their signature orange boxes, but I was still extremely disappointed. I requested gift wrapping, yet the item arrived packed very poorly — in a way I would expect from low-cost stores, not a premium brand. The presentation was unacceptable 😅 and not suitable as a gift. I truly hope the brand improves its packaging standards, as this experience did not reflect the quality I previously associated with them.
