The Best Shopping in Paris: 21 Places Not to Miss | Condé Nast Traveler

"Inaugurated in 2018, the Hermès flagship in the Golden Triangle was renovated with great detail over two years. The shop now spans three levels and has 5,900 square feet of retail space. But what makes this particular location special are the wood-paneled façade and the gilded lettering on its unmistakable sign—both now beautifully restored. Inside, the design mixes airy and contemporary touches (gray-blue marble, mosaic floors) with traditional details and, of course, the brand's signature orange." - Lindsey Tramuta

Was assisted by a friendly SA. Requested for a Kelly belt and she brought out a black Kelly belt with RGH. Exactly what I was looking for! Asked to take a look at the other customisable belts, and had a good experience being able to compare them before making a purchase. Was able to try on some shoes too! As usual, was unable to get a leather appointment and it’s expected. Always a lovely experience at Hermes George V.

My first experience being misled by a Hermès sales associate: While shopping two days ago, I told the sales associate that I had been unable to successfully book an appointment with the bag department. He said we could first browse the other sections, and then he would help arrange it for me. After we finished browsing, he told me that since the store was about to close, he had scheduled an appointment for me with the bag department the following day, and asked me to come back. I told him I couldn’t come the next day because I was planning to visit Mont Saint-Michel, and asked if I could come the day after instead. He said that was fine and even asked me which bags I was hoping to get. However, when I showed up today, they initially denied that any appointment had been made. It wasn’t until I showed a photo of the business card I had taken that they finally admitted it — only to then say that I could wait and see if there were any bags left over after other clients had finished shopping. If they couldn’t arrange something for me in the first place, they could’ve just been honest about it. There was no need to lie and waste my time. The whole experience made me feel disrespected and deceived. It was truly a disappointing shopping experience. It ruined the good mood I had for my trip to Paris.

As a long-standing Hermès devotee and seasoned global shopper across both European and American flagship boutiques, I can confidently say that my experience at the 17 Rue de Sèvres location reaffirmed the maison’s legacy of excellence, savoir-faire, and discreet luxury. Catherine, a distinguished artisan with over seven years in the Jewelry department, was an exceptional guide. Her encyclopedic knowledge of Hermès history and the evolution of its fine jewelry collections made our exchange truly memorable. She exuded kindness, humility, and grace—effortlessly blending professionalism with warmth. Catherine even offered local Parisian recommendations that reflected the same thoughtful precision as the pieces she curated for me. During my visit, I also had the pleasure of working with Nathan, a promising intern whose attentiveness and dedication were evident in how he helped track down elusive jewelry items and two sandal styles that have proven nearly impossible to source in the United States. His quiet efficiency and respectful enthusiasm made for a seamless continuation of the experience. My visit culminated with Emmanuel, a seasoned Hermès expert whose discerning eye and personalized attention earned him a well-deserved gold medal in my book. He located two rare shirts I had been searching for across multiple Hermès stores in the U.S. and suggested a private custom fitting—a sophisticated offering aligned with the house’s enduring emphasis on craftsmanship. Although the tailor was unavailable that day, I fully intend to return for a bespoke session that reflects the maison’s commitment to timeless elegance. While I was unable to secure a leather walk-in appointment during this visit, I must commend the elegant and composed check-in associate, whose polished demeanor and professionalism exemplified the refined ethos of Hermès. In all, this boutique delivers not just a transaction but an elevated journey into the world of French luxury. For a seasoned Hermès collector like myself, this Parisian temple remains a benchmark for service, heritage, and style.

My first experience purchasing in Hermès in Paris~there was no line so seemed meant to be. After a short wait during which time no less than 4 people checked on me, I was paired with Ya Chong (forgive my spelling) and purchased a passport holder, scarf and scarf ring. She was kind and lovely and went right to my colors. Thank you for making my last evening in Paris memorable!

Cool store. Not so great service. We were looking for something from a previous collection. But it turns out theres no way to get anything from the stores unless it’s a new release.

I wish I remembered the names of the Client Advisors I worked with at this store as both were very helpful and seemed very genuine in wanted to assist me in choosing the right items. I visited the store on March 12 at 5pm, with my main goal being to pick up my custom Calvi cardholder that I had ordered online a few weeks back and also to purchase a twilly to outfit my labubu with. My first Client Advisor really took her time to help me pick out a twilly that would match both the colour of my labubu as well as the colour of my purse I was to hang it on. She didn’t hesitate to pull out every design in every colour, but also wasn’t pushy and let me take my time choosing. The second Client Advisor I worked with during my leather appointment was patient and attentive and was able to get the bag in the size, colourway, and hardware I had requested. When I also asked for a Birkin, instead of shrugging me off like I expected her to, she seemed apologetic and said that they didn’t have any more stock that late in the evening. Whether this was the truth or not, I’m not sure, but the fact that she said sorry about not having anymore was sufficient for me. When I visited, the store was not busy at all, and perhaps because of this my experience differed from the other reviews. But I had a very pleasant shopping experience.

This was my first time to a Hermes store. We were helped by Gary and Julia. They were both very kind and professional. Overall, a great experience and I would return again if visiting Paris.

Exceptional Service at Hermès Geoge V – Thank You, Andrea! I had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by Andrea at the Hermès George V boutique, and I cannot express enough how outstanding my experience was. From the moment I walked in, Andrea welcomed me with such warmth, elegance, and professionalism that made my visit truly memorable. Her knowledge of the collections, attention to detail, and ability to understand exactly what I was looking for made the shopping experience effortless and enjoyable. She took the time to offer thoughtful recommendations, ensuring that every piece matched my style and preferences perfectly. Her patience, kindness, and impeccable sense of luxury service set her apart as a truly exceptional sales associate. Andrea embodies the essence of Hermès excellence—graceful, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing a personalized experience that goes beyond expectations. If you ever visit Hermès George V, I highly recommend asking for Andrea—she will undoubtedly make your experience as magical as mine.

Yelp
Where do I start. I went in and ask for a specialist, I got Cecile, she represent the brand well, elegant, patient, customer service oriented. Cecile helps me choose my pieces and make sure that I am comfortable with my selection. The store has a variety of choice for all tastes. I went to faubourg Saint-Honore. Cecile was with me the whole time until transaction complete. I will definitely coming back and make more purchase. I pay for quality and unique pieces.

Yelp
For a luxury brand, Hermes does not have class when treating their clients. Sales associates (SAs) are smug because they think everyone wants their bag. Popped into the flagship store to look for another scarf for my second trip to Paris this year. Got a new SA (Chinese, I think her name is Yuhan) who was very nice and respectful but did not know too much about the brand. Asked her to show us several techniques to tie the scarf in which she was unfamiliar with. But she was very nice and I have no complaints about her. What FSH Hermes store did fail during this visit was in the shoe department. My elderly mom felt that the lead SA here was discriminatory and racist against us bc our original SA brought out the Chypre sandals for me to try when it's only reserved for "ViP clients" or not ready for sale to the public. They spoke in French to each other and did not bother to explain or translate to me their conversation. My mom was very upset at her treatment with us that I had to speak to the manager Katie to let her know of the vile service we received. What a fail of a brand who markets itself as offering world class experience.

Yelp
Service is horrible, they act like they are doing you a favor by letting you shop there!!! Need an appointment to look at bags!!! I did buy a scarf, and they woman who helped me was somewhat helpful

Yelp
My wife tells me that this is the original Hermes location and that all fashionistas must make a pilgrimage to this holy site before returning to the dust. It's a really large store with several floors and sections and it gets ALOT of traffic in it. I think for that reason though the service is less personalized than whatever local Hermes store you my frequent. Don't get me wrong though, the service is still top notch and the staff is very attentive. Reading to assist you in shopping while serving you with coffee, tra, champagne or any other beverage of your choice along with fine chocolates and a snacks. Many people frequent this store in hopes of increasing their chances at an opportunity to purchase a Birkin bag. Where as I totally don't understand that concept, I guess it's normal that successful women putting on some display of obsequiousness in order to obtain this status symbol? Anyways, we got a bunch of stuff for my wife and I in order to demonstrate what serious clients we were. And in the end after dropping 25K in one afternoon we still didn't get an extra Birken bag. Cie la vie! So that's just a bit of insight for you there. Regardless the current strength of the dollar and the VAT refund didn't make it an entirely wasted trip.

Andrea S.

Yelp
I read a few of the reviews, and wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't have an appointment and walked right in. I wasn't sure what I was shopping for so I meandered around for about 20 minutes. No one asked if I needed help, however once I knew what I was looking for the service was wonderful. And I didn't even buy a super high end item. So, don't follow the reviews regarding service. While they didn't jump out to help me, they were very engaged once they did.

Yelp
Pretty cool to shop at the flagship store. I was in Paris in April, and it was 40°F and windy, so I decided to stop by the store and get a scarf. It was a pretty long wait before I was able to be seen (35 minutes), however they were able to meet my needs and find a scarf that matched my outfit and would be something I would wear with multiple pieces.

Yelp
Such a letdown for us. The store was over crowded and it felt like a toy store around Christmas time (we didn't go during busy hours). I appreciated the other designer stores that made you queue up to wait to go inside so it wasn't so crowded. I overheard from someone else that you also need to make an appointment to buy a bag, but that they weren't currently accepting appointments. I personally don't get the hype, but everyone has their own opinions. (Our friends had a very similar experience as well on a different day)

Yelp
Always such a treat and great customer service experience at Hermes UES!! They keep their staff abs the staff get to know you, your taste, and are so very helpful!!

Adriana E.

Yelp
Rude staff, over crowded tourist trap. "Can't help you, it is fashion week". Loving this brand less and less with experiences like this. Better walk a few block to 31 rue du cambon and shop until you drop at Chanel or better brands!

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Rude staff. I felt like the character in Pretty Woman - nobody would help me at the Hermes flagship store in Paris. I went in to buy a scarf to go with my new Burberry coat I had just purchased in London. I was greeted in the store, and told to follow a woman who would help me. I followed her in and she then started talking with 3 other sales ladies who were chatting to each other in French. No one would look at me. So I went back up to the greeter and said what happened. She told me to go back to that area and somebody would help me. Then I approached a sales clerk playing on her phone who would not make eye contact with me. Finally, a salesman approached me- a tall man who looked a lot like the love interest in Emily in Paris said to me, "We will help you anyone who breathes and has a big credit card." I left and bought my scarf elsewhere.

Yelp
Poor attitudes. Noses up in the air all the time, especially with their bag appointments. This place is like a flea market with so many people walking around. They have bags and they have appointments but they will pick and choose who they let to even see and then buy. They want to be exclusive but then resellers go and then make thousands on the purchase price - not sure that's really how to stay exclusive. Terrible experience here and leaves a poor taste in your mouth.

Yelp
This is the flagship store In Paris France. The store is located next to the US embassy so the area is safeguard with military personnel and French soldiers. Plus the location is within a large shopping area and pretty close to other big brands including Cartier, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and many more. I also decided to try my luck and ask for a leather appointment but unfortunately they were really booked up for the day. Getting an online appointment is very difficult so the more spending history you have established at the store, the greater your chances are. The customer service here is okay, I felt like the folks at the Sèvres store was much more helpful and friendlier. I get that they are busy but I was standing at the shoes department looking for another oasis sandal and it took a while before someone approach me and offer for some assistance. Also there are no refund policy only exchanges or store credit. Even though I wasn't able to get an online leather appointment this time, I hope by establishing a spending history will establish a rapport with the store :)

Yelp
I was looking to purchase a pair of shoes, waited 45 minutes and no one served us. We ended up just left. I really don't think service is their first priority. We will never go back there again.

L T.

Yelp
Place is like a bazaar, with poor service for old customers. Very crowded, people waving scarves and shoes, it just made me (Hermes lover collector) like the brand less and it was a poor experience and dis's appointment. Stick to your local boutique.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by this location while on vacation. The staff was pretentious and rude. We were looking for a handbag and were told to sign up online and we "may" get the opportunity to come talk to someone. Really a ridiculous process. We signed up and got a notice they could not accommodate us. We found another Hermès and got in later in day....and we got the bag she was looking for. DO NOT darken the doorstep of this location. By the way...I make more in a day than the sales associates at Hermès make in a month but we are not rude and arrogant. So don't try to be a snob to me and my wife.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience here. I had looked on the website and found 2 ties I wanted to purchase as gifts. My friend and I came by towards closing and had no problems getting in. The man who helped me was very helpful in finding my ties, which turned out to be the last 2 of the designs I wanted! Everyone in the store was lovely. I also visited the large store on the left bank and the staff there was lovely too.

Yelp
When I did my research on Paris before my first trip in May 2019, knew I wanted to shop on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore. This is the location where all the luxury fashion brands have a store. I saved all of my shopping to do at Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore because I wanted something that screamed Paris. And what screams Paris more than Hermès. When I entered the store I had no idea what to expect other than luxury and beauty. This store did not disappoint. I am not certain if it is always this crowded but there were a large number of Asian clients in the store that day. Not sure if it was a tour or if this is where the Asian elite shop on a regular basis. All I know is they were shopping fast and furious. It was AMAZING and I loved every moment of it! Had to wait patiently for service but when the sales lady arrived she was pleasant and helpful. I was looking for a famous Hermès scarf and she kindly showed me several. She took the time to find a pattern and shade that she knew I would like and would compliment my skin tone. I made my choice and the check out was fairly painless. The sales staff were incredibly sweet to my son and gave him a little Hermès pencil set that MOMMA will cherish, lol. Giving it a 4 star only because I forgot my passport that day and was told I could come back. However, no one mentioned they were closed on Sunday so I was unable to get a VAT. No matter it was still a great experience and 1 I will do again on my next trip to Paris!

Yelp
A favourite shop for many years. Went to see if they would sort out a new watch battery...normally I go to New Bond Street, but that means 2 visits as they send it away somewhere and it takes 2+ weeks...so not only the £35 to do, but 2 train fares = £50+ more Anyway, they took me up stairs, sat me down, took the watch away and 30 minutes later all done..€45 Excellent service - apparently they have 2 horlogiers on site

Yelp
I normally shop at the location on Sevres because it's close to the hotel I usually book. However, they were in the process of renovating and it felt a little chaotic to me, so I decided to try the mothership on Faubourg St. Honore. I had been planning to buy a Constance belt kit to celebrate a recent weight loss. I was directed to the second floor and found a young man in the belt department, in the middle of packing a whole bunch of orders. He eventually greeted me and told me he'd be with me in a few minutes. Well, that stretched into about 15 minutes and I was just starting to wonder if I should come back later when a very sweet woman appeared to help me. I told her what I wanted and after congratulating me on my weight loss (!) she measured me. I had brought another leather belt with me with the holes I use for dress pants and jeans marked. We compared her measurements to my old belt and they lined up perfectly. I selected a hammered finish Constance buckle because I know they get scratched pretty easily. Then it was time to choose the belt. My SA was super patient with me because I knew the colors I wanted, but changed my mind when I saw them on. I ended up with two reversible straps. I am really happy this SA helped me, I am not sure I would have had a 5* experience with the young man.

Yelp
Love this Hermes! Always efficient and they usually have enough staff to help you. I had a great experience!
google avatar

Audrey C.

Yelp
Was so excited to come to this flagship location but it's my least favorite location in Paris. It was overcrowded and to me, the SA's weren't as friendly/helpful/attentive as Sevres or George V. I didn't care for it at all.
google avatar

Eric L.

Yelp
Professional SA staff. Most well known Hermés store in the world to obtain the coveted styles, Birkens and Kellys. Wife always makes her stop here when in Paris, usually makes out very well. Has everything Hermés, from saddles to off the rack clothing, leather goods, home goods. Only downside is that some patrons are a bit obnoxious, just not necessary, but the SAs are usually polite. Recommend highly, since this store provides the most reliable method for one to obtain a Birkin directly. Bon chance!
google avatar

Neda S.

Yelp
This store is absolutely stunning and definitely has the best selection of everything in the world. I have not tried buying leather goods YET but have purchased other items and had a good experience. SA's don't go out of their way to help but if you ask for help, the staff is polite and will get you an SA to help. The downfall of this store is that it's extremely busy regardless of when you go there so you might have to fight other people to look at goods. Regardless, don't miss if you're in Paris and have a passion for the brand. I can't wait to go back again soon.
google avatar

Angel Y.

Yelp
Absolutely baffled over such bad attitude from the SA, and I wish I got her name. When she met with us, no introduction, no "how are you", just "what do you want, give me your passport." Did not bother to check whether there were appts and gave us a "no" and brought out an ugly bag instead. However, she did bring out a Gris Kelly, so keep in mind there are Kellys at FSH right now. Expected much more from a luxury brand, no matter who the customer is. My brother manages to get an appointment, but Hermes made us wait only to tell us no at the meeting. Why make the appointment at all then? Let's just say we bought from Chanel instead.
google avatar

Maria B.

Yelp
Honestly. Who doesn't love Hermes? The luxury. Quality. Beauty. Unparalleled. One of my earliest memories is my mother getting dressed to go out with a fabulous scarf with balloons on it. The colors! The pattern! Gorgeous. I learned in my teens this was Hermes. We still have the scarf. They are so well made they last forever. This flagship store is impressive. Large. Spacious. They have so many scarves to choose from. Every type of Hermes cuff available. Shoes galore. And everything else. The salespeople here speak many languages too. So they can help the non french speaking Russian to your right and the American to your left. But of course they are happy to speak French too. The prices will leave you breathless. I always stop here when in Paris, but I can't buy here, used to be too poor, then when I had more money I wasn't in Paris for a decade, and now I'm poor again. So I can only enjoy from afar.

Yelp
In my past travels to Paris, France with my former love, I ventured to Galeries Lafayette where I was enticed with Hermes's "Kelly Calèche" for women. I love Hermes' classic pink and brown logo colors. Oui, ooh la la!! Kelly Calèche has a sleek yet simple design for the bottle and the scent is not entirely overpowering yet a man who has bears observation and attentive skill would dutifully acknowledge. A hint of passion with seduction for the weapon of the day!! Oui, s'il vous plaît...

Yelp
Probably the most snob hob place you should not go to in Paris ( all locations).....terrible fakea-- people on this planet .... as a regular customer in s.f and having history of buying H.. it's sucks we as customers must bow down to these snob sales as-h----....the only good out of all the time we waited was to get a appointment the next day where we don't need to stand in line early to watch people cut the line and the fuc--- H staff do nothing...2:00pm we showed up early and was told sales as----- is still at lunch .. 2:45.. fuc--- shows up.. straight cold face ... "what you need"...... as long time customers I recommend try your luck in the states , pay a few bucks more to get your purses and accessories...

Yelp
It really pains me to give even one star to this "establishment." I really want to give it a negative star or five. I've been on various sides of the fashion/retail spectrum from sales to owning/running my own boutique and customer service is 101. I guess this Hermes location didn't get the memo. Just this last Saturday, I encountered the rudest, most pretentious salesperson working at Hermes-AMY. Let me preface by saying that I have been visiting Paris for many years and have done my share of damage at shops in the realm of Hermes and NEVER have I encountered someone who attempted to make me feel inferior by (not only) walking by and ignoring me after I politely asked her a question/direction for help (given that the shop was complete chaos), but instead stared me down and thumbed her nose at me as she walked away. Nice try, Amy. I'm from Hell's Kitchen so Amy was going to get addressed. And she did. Don't think it made a difference as it was evident that bitterness and nastiness was part of her DNA and the undercurrent that runs through Hermes, St. Honore. I've shopped at other Hermes locations before but this particular one is a Petrie dish of disgusting snobs in dire need of a refresher course in customer service. First on that list should be AMY (she worked the appointment desk on Saturday, May 13th). Dear Management: take a walk to your local Chanel on Rue Cambon and take good note--or Louis Vuitton on Champs Elysees, where its always crazy and hectic and yet they never seem to lose their cool-professionalism and courteousness. Chanel and Louis Vuitton have the nicest staff - probably why I purchase more there. Not rocket science. I don't know Hermes, I get that in some people's eyes you're creme de la creme. But-let's put things in perspective here, you're selling luxury goods not saving lives. Come down to earth and bring your people down with you- especially AMY.

Yelp
Overall my experience at HERMES-FSH was flawless! From staff to selection I grew to love Hermes even more. I was fortunate to get an appointment on my birthday. I got to the store before my appointment time to shop for other items. I checked in and was introduced to an amazing SA. From the moment I met my SA I was out with a handbag in less than 45mins. You would have thought he had been my SA for years knowing what I would LOVE if they didn't have what I wanted. Thankful for the great experience and my amazing new bag!

Yelp
Great experience at the Hermes Paris store. All the staff are impeccably and fashionably dressed and oh so helpful. It was crowded, especially by the leather bag section, so not even bothered to wait in line for help. Of course had to stop at the scarf section for the famous Hermes' scarfs. So many selections, colors, and designs... difficult to choose. But, the staff was very helpful and assisted us in selecting the right scarf. Stopped by the man's section for a nice leather belt and Hermes' famous "H" buckle. Decided to purchase the 32mm belt and buckle. Thought about purchasing the 42mm Constance belt and buckle, but the sales staff told me it's really for woman, but is popular with American men. Expect a crowd and a bit of wait to be serviced. Or, you could always try the smaller, boutique Hermes store with no crowd, but slightly less selection of products. It just depends on the experience you are looking for. Had a nice glass of champagne while shopping, so don't be shy to ask for one. If champagne is not your thing, ask for a glass of water or cup of expresso or anything else.

Yelp
I was happy to enter this flagship store even without an appointment. Due to lack of time I wasn't able to enjoy the store but still managed to get a nice souvenir of my latest Paris visit. Will definitely be back to this store on my next Paris trip!

Yelp
Saw several bad reviews and I had the exact opposite experience. I was greeted by a saleswoman who helped me choose a belt and buckle. Then she escorted me to the accessories to help me choose a bracelet. There was a bag that I was searching for and she looked to see if they had it and when she saw they didn't she brought me alternatives. Then she escorted me up to the fine jewelry because I expressed an interest in a ring she was wearing. This was some of the best customer service I've ever received. I highly recommend this location. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the salesperson, but she was working in the ready to wear department on the morning of June 6th.

Yelp
I really still don't know what all the fuss is about Hermés. I came here for Thanksgiving weekend of 2016 and it's supposedly the "Slow Time" here in Paris. However, THAT was not the case. Prior to coming, I did my research and watched numerous videos and read articles as I was on the hunt for the famous Kelly bag (or Birkin as a plan B) for my mom's 65th birthday gift. Basically, you have to get here super early as the store opens at 10:30am. Which MEANS you'll have to get there by 8am to wait so you can be served right away. If you wait at 10am there is a good chance you'll be turned away at some point in the line queue and that they have no more appointments for the day. I did this for two days and had no luck of a Kelly or Birkin. They'll ask you for your passport and I think this is a way to track your purchases. With Hermés, you're only allowed one of these bags every 6 months or so I read. So if they track that based on your passport or some form of ID, I'm sure they track your purchases (not sure if US stores do that). While I was told these bags were "sold out" or they "didn't get a shipment", I have a strong inkling it's a game to earn a bag. So from what I've read, basically when they take you a "private room" with a box, it means you've scored a bag (Be it a Constance, Kelly or Birkin). I believe they do this so other's won't see and that they can use the lines of "No we didn't get shipment". So on the first morning, I asked for the Kelly, and if they didn't have a Kelly, a Birkin was a Plan B. I was told they were sold out. While my SA was checking for other things on the wish list, I saw someone next to me ASK for a Birkin or Kelly as well...their SA came back with a few boxes and took the bigger box and the couple into a side private room. I'm almost positive that it was a Birkin or Kelly but can't confirm as I didn't want to be nosy. But per the reviews and video's I've watched, it surely sounded like the couple scored a famed bag. Obviously, you have to be a fan of the brand to own an Hermés so although i did drop $8K on 2 wallets and a clutch, that apparently was still not enough to score me one on the second day I visited. Overall, I'm giving this experience 2 stars. While my SA's were nice I can't justify how Hermés can get away with that. While it is a beautiful leather bag, I'm not a fan of how they control it's "Supply and Demand". It's smart business wise but as a customer, I'm not a fan of the waiting game either. If you're a CS snob, check out Louis Vuitton. 2 Stars to Hermes from me, I mean seriously, they don't even offer champagne or water like Louis did.

Yelp
I went in to buy a scarf, I was in and out in less than twenty minutes, I had great service, not one issue. That said, I was interested in looking at the Evelyn handbag, "too busy" was what they said, which might be ok in that it saved me money. Everything works out for a reason.

Yelp
How come 98% customers are from China??? Where is the rest of the world? The store staffs offered drinks only after I was waiting to pay for the bag. My experience coming to this store in 2016 were quiet ugly. 1st visit - fashion week. Bad customer service. They only cared for the VIP customers. 2nd visti - Polo week. All Hermes staffs were too focus on their special event. Bought a bag. It was a whatever. They delivered it to my hotel. 3rd visit - holiday/vacation - most of staffs are off because summer is their vacation/holidays. 4th visit - waited in line then I found out it was just to receive an appointment which scheduled in 3 hours. 5th visit - my appointment schedule (2 hours late). I just bought another whatever....too tired. 6th visit - waited in the rain 1.5 hour then the store opened. Got the bag! this is a beauty!

Yelp
An amazing boutique. Fascinating to watch the clientele & their amazing ability to cater to all kinds. Love the subtlety of their style.

Yelp
Erected in 1880 by Charles-Émile Hermès, this shop remains the oldest original boutique standing by the esteemed company that had its humble beginnings producing fine bridles and harnesses for the carriage trade. With that in mind, regardless of which Hermès store you purchase your merchandise from the orange shopping bag will always read 24,Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris. Ok, that was my obligatory tidbit of mindless trivia, now onto the frivolous shopping shall we? Now if you're a fan of all things Hermès, this will undoubtedly be your Mecca. It boasts two impressive floors of wall to wall lavish Hermès products. From personalized equestrian fashions to the iconic Birkin and Kelly bags, they pretty much have it all here. Speaking of the Birkin and Kelly, they're less likely to hide them here, as well. A little tidbit i'm sure the ladies will appreciate. So if you're in the market to blow some major cash on these elusive handbags, this would be the place. I was offered a few but they were too large or not quite the right color for the person I had in mind. Luckily my sales associate found me the Kelly wallet in beige, which I knew she would like. I grabbed a few ties for myself and I was on my way with orange bags in tow. On a side note, the prices, especially on the leather products, are curiously lower than those in the states. Tack on the VAT tax refund and it's a no brainer if you're looking to burn some cash on these luxury items. Bear in mind, even with the discounts, the prices can still seem exorbitant. It's all a matter of perspective I guess. Regardless, it may be a kick just to peruse the shop and chuckle at how wealthy people burn their money. Happy Shopping!

Yelp
Dont buy anything from this brand. They have the worst customer returns policy and just out to scam you. Last ever purchase from this poor brand.

Yelp
I believe this is the store that famously turned away Oprah. I mean damn. I've visited twice, once with my mother who actually bought a bag, and once with my boyfriend, to gawk like a proper tourist should. The place is gigantic and loaded with some of the most expensive designer goods in existence. After a minute or two in Hermes, you start looking at the cute little leather animal keychains and being like, "Wow, only three digits on that price tag? Not bad!" The bags and wallets are absurdly priced, and other than the timeless Birkins and Kellys, of which there are very few, mostly very boring. If I had a billion dollars I wouldn't shell out for most of the bland designs. My mom bought a brown Birkin, which was a nice find. She hardly wears it, though - it's pretty heavy-handed, as status symbols go. The Hermes store isn't just purses, though, and not just clothes and shoes and jewelry either. If you do some wandering you can find things like golf bags and saddles and all manner of frivolities stamped with the Hermes name and the Hermes price. It's definitely worth a browse, no matter what's in your wallet. It's also worth checking out other patrons - there's a healthy mix of buyers and gaspers, many of them Asian. Customer service is very good when needed, but if you're not interested in buying anything, the staff will leave you well alone. I'm sure they're used to casual browsers. Oprah, I would assume, did not fall into that camp.

Yelp
All women dying for their stuff. All women dying to give them their money. Begging them to sell them their goods. It is such a bless for them to give you a few minutes of their time to "serve" you and even you had to wait for 30mins+ for their service. No! You can see two colors of the same bag at the same time. You have to show them your original passport for them to sell you their goods. Photo of the passport will not be accepted even though it is a acceptable by other Hermes store. They almost had to beg you not to go there waste their time. Their products are too good for human being.

Yelp
I had the best experience! Benjamin was the best! I was always intimidated to go into a Hermès boutique, but the customer service I had was excellent. This was in my Paris trip bucket list and they did not disappoint. Merci beacoup Benjamin!

Yelp
This "flagship" store is going to be the store that will also be recognized as the store that began the process of "brand suicide" for Hermès. The brand that screams exclusivity trains their staff to be experts at deception. We have been clients of Hermès for a long time and even purchased items today. We were asked to go back at a certain time which we did and after a whole hour of sitting with an associate, he walked out and said "we've reached our daily limit of handbag sales." I specifically told them we have purchased before and understand the game but they took it too far today. I was insulted and ignored by stiffs pretending to be brand representatives. These people are not trained to sell. They are trained to deceive and be dishonest. The manager looked straight in our face and lied. They don't care about your time or money because there are so many people begging to spend money. I am a car collector and I spend more money servicing a car that would cover ten handbags so I understand the word exclusivity. Client recognition is ZERO. The collector car community is massive in the US and they are all aware of the brand but I will make it a personal project to diminish this peasant behavior. A few black suits with no personality will NOT capitalize on my family's time. Shame on whoever accepts this type of behavior for their brand. Brand suicide begins with this type of practice. Can't wait to get back to Los Angeles and make some phone calls. Thank you "flagship" for all your unnecessary "bullshit". Feel free to contact me I'm not anonymous.

Yelp
I came here during my time in Paris hoping to get a belt or bag, they were sold out of every color in my size for belts unfortunately and they didn't have any bag I was looking for. They said I wear a common size for belts. Everyone was nice and attentive even though they didn't have anything I was looking for. I made sure I asked more than one sales assistant to confirm inventory. I was disappointed but the customer service was decent with the store being so crowded.

Yelp
Creating a FALSE sense of exclusivity by stating "appointments are required for bags", and are "fully booked for the day", while more than a DOZEN associates are just standing around...is simply ridiculous and just annoying.

Yelp
For all of you that love Hermes this is a must visit store. The staff there are super friendly and all professional dressed. I felt like I was in Hermes heaven. The flagship store is like eye candy for me. The store opens at 10:30am but there was a line before then on the side. For those that are trying their luck at a Birkin or Kelly stand in line to speak with a SA. Not sure if they deliver morning, noon or afternoon; it is all random. Came here a few times to try my luck. It can be a wait to talk to a SA but he was super sweet and patient. They really know how to treat you well. Now that I have been here I can't imagine shopping at other locations. So much selection here. Love love love it here.

Yelp
This place was like a museum for shoppers. There was a large group of Chinese shoppers all having orgasms as they were handed their pumpkin colored shopping bags. They "ooh"d and "ahh"d over the diamond buckled Birkin that was handled by the sales rep wearing white gloves. Wearing sneakers and slacks, I felt a bit underdressed. Every other shopper was wearing a suit. Some patron looked me up and down almost as to say that I was some bum that crawled out from the gutters. Seriously? At least I have all of my teeth! Despite how busy it was, we were able to manage to get some eager gentleman to help us. It was an epic experience...for the wifey.

Yelp
This boutique is the World headquarters of Hermès, and the largest store of the brand. Two expansive levels allow you to meander through the different departments of merchandise and carefully select your luxury purchases, and all the while admire the décor and the building which is a classified monument. Hermès has been at this location since the 19th century, and this is where they used to make all of their merchandise, but they now have ateliers outside of Paris as production has grown quite a bit since then! ;) You can find the classic and emblematic items such as their hand bags and silk scarves, but you can also find what the French call fantasy jewelry, or the real stuff, perfume, agendas and small leather goods, belts, gloves, and shoes (designed by Pierre Hardy), a womens' prête-à-porter collection designed by Christophe Lemaire since the Fall collection of 2011 (before it was designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier for about 10 years), there's also a mens' department with a clothing line designed by Véronique Nichanian; silk ties and mens accessories, you can also find home goods such as linens, table ware, silver ware, furniture, items for home décor and of course you can find everything you need for equestrian activities, this being the first area of expertise of the "maison". This "house" represents a quintessentially French style and puts much emphasis on the quality of their products, the nobility of excellent workmanship, the idea of a search for inspiration through travel, design and a great love for long-lasting products that you can keep for years and pass on to those who come after you. It is a family run business, one of the few remaining large family enterprises in France. For a truly chic shopping experience come and explore this magnificent store.

Yelp
This place has the widest selection of goods than any of the locations in Paris. That being said, it is tourist central. Let me clarify. It is tourists from mainland China central. Because it is so crowded with all sorts of tourists (who are not just gawking but making purchases; and this is during the Holiday season mind you), service was hit or miss. I felt rushed and felt like I wasn't given priority because I wasn't looking for a birkin but for a scarf. FYI, estimated prices on scarves (which are not posted online): 320 euros for Silk 90 (traditional, more patterns) 245 euros for Silk 70 (smaller, fewer patterns) 150 euros for Silk Twilly VAT savings are 10% for Hermes. This location was out of Birkins and Kellys during the holidays. Not sure if that's just the stock answer to the general public.

Yelp
"Je n'en reviens pas!" I am in love. I walk into this place and literally fall into a trance when I visit the handbag section. I already have too many Birkins, but I can never leave the Paris store without another tote for my arm. This store also has fantastic finds in their jewelry department, and the scarves and shoes are to die for. Very good salespeople, I always leave with something when I am here. Probably my favorite Hermes store.
