Herm's Inn

Such a great spot! We stopped here on our way up to Bear Lake and it was a great experience. The food was delicious, the portions were huge, and the price was very reasonable. Service was also really good! Thanks, Herm’s Inn!

Came for my sister in laws birthday. We stood at the door to be seated for 15 min and no signs of someone coming to greet or seat us. There was no line. People came in after us and waited. When we finally got our food, it was barely warm. I got a meat lovers skillet. Our server was nice.

A great place to go whether that's early breakfast or a late brunch. Extremely friendly staff. Great portion sizes! Hard to leave here hungry with a very wide selection of choices for breakfast or lunch. It is very popular with the locals so you might have to be prepared to sit and enjoy some of the scenery while waiting for a table. The aircraft picture hanging on the wall in the basement is a must see for the aviation enthusiast in all of us. I have a picture of the picture but as we all know that never does it justice. Thanks again for a wonderful breakfast!

We got on the wait list so we only waited a few minutes with a party of 7. We waited quite a while for our food, over half hour, but it was very good. I had the Egg Benedict Florentine. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros. Both were good. I'm not much for skillet potatoes. The pancakes are very good. We shared a 12" among the 7 of us.

The food was incredible!! 5 out of 5! The staff were great and patient with us, and the food came out pretty fast for a restaurant and came out to be beautiful. And the atmosphere was just fun and old timely, love it by the way! But just note, they serve humongous portions here, so you can share all plates here. And note that I would’ve taken a picture of my food, the give up, which I recommend trying. I would’ve taken a picture, but I ate it all.

We've been twice now. Food was excellent both times. My wife and I had different items each time. The atmosphere is very cool. You'll wait to get a seat but it's worth it. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back

Came into town for a huge wedding and the couple had catered delicious food with a very thorough and effective staff. I noted this because the couple said such high compliments about the owner of the catering company, Jeremy. Before leaving town the following day, we stopped at the highest rated breakfast restaurant in the city, which is Herm’s Inn. When we walked in, we started recognizing the staff and realized they were who catered the wedding. Jeremy appeared, and recognized us from the wedding. He was so friendly and kind, and immediately ran to get us a table. We felt welcome, cared for, and by the time we left, full! He obviously cares deeply about the experience of his customers and the food he serves. Will definitely be stopping by when we come back into town.

Well, that was worth the hype and 30 minute wait. I asked my sister-in-law, 'why do you love this place' while we waited. She said it was all the usual diner food, but elevated, with consistent service and food. And I think that's the best explanation. I ordered a veggie omelet with egg whites and a pancake. Dude. So MANY POTATOES. Don't eat all the potatoes. I so full for so long and only had half of those and half the pancake. My brother had the eggs Benedict which he loves and frequently orders and my sister-in-law had the chicken and biscuit which she loves and always takes half home--IT WAS HUGE!!! I noticed they were smothered in gravy which I would get on the side, but to each their own. It has a mountain diner vibe in that the decor is diner, but there are also wood accents and beams and has some low key "lodge" vibes. I can't wait to go back!

Honestly, One of the coolest and most delicious breakfast locations I've been to in a long time. The ambiance is top notch with much attention to detail and it is located in an amazing area. Service with a smile... and a mustache. A marvelous mustache. The server checked in with us several times and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was sooo good. The serving sizes were very large. We brought food home for a second round. I will return next time I'm in town visiting my family. Enjoy!!! #jsho @jshoeat

We have visited Logan at least twice a year for the better part of a decade and just discovered this place. It was wonderful. Delicious food. Amazing service. Fun atmosphere. We went on a Saturday morning and it was super busy. About a 30 minute wait to get our family a table. Totally worth the wait. Everyone loved their meal. Talking with our server, it sounds like weekdays are less busy. If you go on a Saturday, call ahead and get your name on the waiting list.

My son recommended this his spot for breakfast and it was a winner! So close to lunch that I ordered a club sandwich with a garden salad. The house salad was loaded with veggies that made it better than most. My son and his future, er uh, his girlfriend ordered the chicken fried steak. I'm not the best critic of food but I can say that it was fresh, hot, and delicious! Service was also 5 star. Cool atmosphere and great location to go for a walk afterward if you are in the mood. This place is away from downtown and at the entrance to a breathtaking canyon of rock, tree, river and more! I really liked this place. Wait time was a solid 50 minutes but that wait time says a lot. We waited on the patio sitting in the sun, enjoying the crisp, fresh air. I loved eating at Herm's!

Went for breakfast to experience it see if it lived up to the hype. While it met our expectations it did not exceed them by any means. I ordered the Herms hash and unfortunately the hash was extremely dry and over cooked. The potatoes on the other hand were excellent and a huge portion. The cinnamon roll was also very good. I do want to go back and try their lunch. Staff was amazing. Very well done interior.

The French toast was lacking in fluff and one slice was too hard to cut. I used the reserve table and was on the list for an hour still. Avoid going on Saturday mornings. Our service was also lacking.

We went on a busy morning and were seated at the Bar, first time visiting and the place has a good feel, everyone smiling and eating. Our waitress was very helpful and I Could not finish my plate of chicken and bisquit in gravy with country Potatos. It was very large and filling with a glass of fresh OJ. The wall Art is Incredible. I want that Bike for Christmas ! Santa. .......

Herm's Inn is hopping on a weekend, but if you're only two people, you can easily walk in and get a seat at the counter bar. I believe there are ten bar seats available. We were seated immediately, but there were parties of two who waited for a booth or table for the entire duration of our visit. That's commitment! My husband got the biggest pancake that he'd ever seen, and my classic breakfast was predictably tasty. My husband's only suggestion for improvement is having real maple syrup available. We received quick and pleasant service. We felt like we were going to a Logan staple, and we had a great experience. People are voting with their feet, and they are coming here!

Herm's Inn was a fun place to go eat. It has a cool atmosphere and the place was packed on a Wednesday morning. I was surprised at how fast they were able to cook our meals. I got the croissant breakfast sandwich which had very generous portions. Next time I'm there I would love to try the cinnamon swirl pancake. You will not regret eating here.

Best breakfast best staff best vibe in cache valley. We always visit when we come back to the valley, never disappoints and is worth the wait.

Had the veggie omelette. It looked great. Tasted not so good! Way too much cheese and the potatoes were old and smelled greasy. Service is slow but it's to be expected . Sat outside. Atmosphere was nice and casual.

It was a busy morning and wait was a little longer than usual. But the service was amazing and the food was delicious. We got the stuffed French toast and the biscuits and gravy. I highly recommend them! Especially the biscuits and gravy. Portion sizes are extremely big. Loved the atmosphere too. They sell cinnamon rolls on the weekends and the photo is one I got.

TL;DR Large portions Super cool location Good food Friendly service Moderately priced Modern feel in a sleepy town There is a lot of stuff in Logan that feels a little run down and dated, but not this place. It has a very new and modern feel. It's located at the mouth of the canyon and has a beautiful patio to the sit on if you like eating outside. We arrived around 10am on a Sunday and the wait was about 20ish minutes but they had plenty of lawn chairs to sit on outside while you wait. The portions are pretty huge and some of their items like the cinnamon roll and pancakes are absolutely massive. We saw a pancake walk past our table that was the size of a large pizza. They also offer their pancakes smothered in cinnamon and sugar which is what I got. It was very sweet, but I definitely enjoyed the portion of it in was able to eat! The cost of each meal ranges between $10-$25 dollars, which for some might be a little spendy for breakfast. For two people (including tip) we were over $50 for breakfast. That being said, my partner ordered steak and eggs which was $25 on its own. The bacon is really good and the house potatoes are awesome. Overall we very much enjoyed our first experience. Will definitely return again whenever we come back to Logan.

Bear Lake for summer vacation but still wanted to try some good food. My Nephew and his spouse, who both went to Utah State, suggested Herm's Inn in Logan. It gets great reviews so we gave it a try and it did not disappoint. Nice little spot at the entrance to Logan canyon, past the lower pond. We sat out on a little patio with an out door fireplace and lawn area, so relaxing and peaceful. Everything on the menu looked good and I couldn't decide, so I ordered the "I give up" breakfast which comes with a little of everything. It was way too much food and could definitely be shared. I chose the buttermilk waffles with "the works" whipped cream, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, bananas and it was so good. Came with some lemon butter and a big bottle of syrup that stays on the table. Choice of eggs, I upgraded to an omelet with cream cheese, peppers and jalapeños. It was very good. With breakfast potatoes and gravy. Oh and toast if you're still hungry, and bacon, lol. It was all so good 5/5. My wife had a hard time deciding what to order, as it all looked good, but went with the Florentino eggs Benedict with spinach and it was amazing. She loves a good gravy and asked if she could get a side for her potatoes which they brought out and it was one of the best gravies she's had. 5/5 She took the rest of the gravy with us to pour over eggs the next day, she's very excited about this. Jeremy the owner, or cook, or something was so nice and stopped by a couple of times to check on us and you could really tell he took pride in the food. We bonded over gravy and said we'd definitely be back. Well done Herms Inn, I now have a favorite restaurant in Logan. Only downside is they're only open from 8:00am until 2:00pm so go early.

Best breakfast of 2023! Herms is a gem, so are it's Cinnamon Cream Cheese Pancakes! For those unfamiliar with or new to Logan, absolutely stop by before yourSummer drive up the canyon towards bear lake. We had planned our brunch outing before heading up to porcupine reservoir for some paddleboarding, It was a Herms first time for some of our friends- and the whole experience was a hit! We were also happily surprised by the fun (pride) colored cream cheese on the pancakes. They were so bomb!

My favorite food of all time is Herm's Hash. Ever. Herms hash and a biscuit with gravy is TO DIE FOR!!! The service is always really good, the servers have a lot of people to take care of but they're always keeping an eye on you. Really pretty area that's always clean!! My favorite restaurant in Logan, I wish they stayed open later than 2. 10/10

It was really busy this weekend due to graduation but we only had to wait 30 minutes which wasn't terrible. Our waiter was great, he put our order in fast and kept our drinks full. The burrito was pretty tasty especially with the salsa. The cinnamon roll was also pretty good but overhyped for $9.

We were just passing through and our friends who live her suggested we come for breakfast. I am so glad we followed their advice. First of all, what an absolutely cool place. The ambiance is fun and so many things to look at and discover. The service was impeccable from hostess to servers and runners. Everyone happy to be there and so professional. It was a very enjoyable experience. The food is AMAZING, so really delicious. I wish I had a warning about serving sizes, none of us were able to finish our plate. Everything was delicious, and I wish I lived in Utah so we could come back more often. Absolutely will be coming back when we come to visit our friends again.

Great Food! Great Service! Reasonable Priced. Amazing huevos rancheros! The Greek skillet with chicken was also awesome. The pancake and stuffed French toast looked amazing and everyone raves about it.

We happened upon this restaurant while looking on Yelp for breakfast places while in Logan. We were seated immediately and sat on the outdoor patio area which was perfect this time of year. The waitress was great and was at our table super quick with waters and ready for our drink order. We both decided on the Mexican scrambler which was delicious but enough to feed us both so we should have shared. It had chicken and chorizo scrambled eggs with breakfast potatoes, black beans, pico de gallo and an avocado. It also came with a pancake on the side with the most wonderful lemon butter. Overall, the food was great, the location was perfect and the staff were delightful. 10/10.

Delicious and quick. The patio is adorable and service very responsive. As a vegetarian, I appreciate their variety and publishing ingredients. We'll definitely come back!

My family has been here dozens of times and only ever had 1 less than satisfactory visit. The food is fresh and delicious. I love their breakfast dishes, their biscuits and gravy are excellent.

Local friends kept telling me I had to go to Herm's for breakfast. I wish I had listened sooner. I enjoyed everything from the delicious food to sitting on the patio to the friendly and attentive service. I had the veggie omelet. It was loaded with fresh veggies, and came with nicely done potatoes. Instead of toast, I went with the pancake. It was big -- plate-sized large. It had real butter and lemon zest on top. There were so many tempting menu choices, so I know I'll be back. Herm's is only open for breakfast and lunch.

This place is a MUST if you are in the Logan area. I've never been for lunch, but their breakfast is AMAZING. The staff have always been so kind, never any issues with the food. Be prepared to wait an hour (especially on weekends), but it's worth it I promise!! They are really efficient and it's usually shorter than they estimate, so don't let the long wait scare you away.

Super tasty breakfast! We waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday, which wasn't terrible. After we ordered we waited another 45 minutes (too long). We enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, veggie omelette with sausage, chicken and biscuits and pancakes. We didn't love the cinnamon roll pancake - too much cream cheese. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and fresh.

I LOVE Herm's! The only bad thing is that it's only open for breakfast and lunch. The cinnamon pancakes are amazing.

This place is Amazing All of the waiter/waitresses work their tails off. It doesn't matter who took your order; everyone works together. The food is delicious, they have special homemade jam-to die for. We come here every Sunday for brunch ‼

Very cute place in beautiful location. Only wish it was warm enough to sit on the patio. We were sat quickly on a Tuesday about noon. Just a two top. They have cute half booths with round tables for two tops. Service was quick and portions large. Food piping hot. Pay at the register out front. We will for sure come again!

Adorable local breakfast spot we kept hearing we needed to visit & we finally made it! Could not believe how fast the food came out after we ordered! There seems to typically be a wait, so be prepared for that, or find a spot at the bar like we did! Everything was super tasty & staff was great! Definitely will be back! It's popular for good reason!

My kids absolutely love coming here for breakfast. The giant pancake with the amazing sauce on it is just incredible. The restaurant is pretty cool, it's clean, and has some fun things to look at. The service is hot and miss as most restaurants in college towns are. We've never had bad service but maybe distracted servers. Which is fine, I was that age once and I understand.

It has okay food, the service is decent, they have recently changed some recipes but the ambiance is awesome especially if your rich you can get a whole room with nobody else in the room to have food they did change the recipes and it's okay now.

If you like hipster vibe you'll enjoy. I can't stand it personally, bunch of clowns, but the food is decent and the wife likes it so.

Came here once on a day trip to Logan. Very beautiful place. It really has the "Inn" kind of feeling, you know? Nothing manufactured-feeling. Environment was warm, and they had doodles and drawings from past guests all over the place. We had to wait a minute to get in (very popular), but I felt it was worth it. Food was hearty and delicious. Servers, as I recall, were attentive but busy. Little more expensive, but I didn't mind it too much. I'd go again if I had the chance.

One website said they were open at 7am but when we got there the hours were actually open at 8. Ashley F was as sweet as the cinnamon swirl pancake and took good care of us. The Parisian crêpes were delicious. I'm not usually a cream cheese fan but I still enjoyed the pancake. The breakfast burrito was average but the breakfast potatoes that accompanied were crispy and savory.

Every time I have been to Herm's it has been extremely busy but for good reason! The food is amazing and the location and building are so fun. Even with the crowds the service has always been great.

Fairly new to the area and we've eaten here twice. Great breakfast and lunch options! The inside out grilled cheese was so different and amazing! Love the lunch combo of half a sandwich with soup. Cute historic building, good service, and clean, will definitely keep coming here!

I have started using Yelp to find the top rated restaurants when I am not in my normal town and it did not disappoint!! My kids are already begging to go back but we live two hours away! We got the popular cinnamon waffle and my kid ate the whole thing in under 5 minutes! Great prices, great portions! We did have to wait an hour to get in, but it was worth the wait!

If I could give zero stars I would. I found a long hair cooked into my food, when we tried to inform our waitress she ignored us and walked away from our table. We then had to inform the other waitress that came to fill up our drinks, when we kindly informed her she responded with attitude. For the remainder of our visit the waitresses glared at us and treated us with attitude. At the end of our visit when we headed to the restroom we could see into the kitchen, all of the cooks didn't have hairnets on and we saw one cook with his long hair not even fully tied back. The waitress told us that we would have a discount on our meal which was only $4 off of the $16 dollar menu item that had the hair in it, that we were unable to even finish half of. From my experience in the food industry this restaurants cleanliness and customer service is such a disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant.
