I feel compelled to write a review because my experience didn't line up with others. One person was covering both rental locations in Treasure Island (Derek) for my reservation and pickup--both went smoothly. Nothing earth-shattering, but he was patient with my questions, competent, and got us just what we needed. Cars were in stock, no pushy upselling, no issues with the vehicle. Return was smooth (I used the after hours drop-box next to the rental car spots in the garage), and no surprise charges. I wouldn't 100% rely on ANY rental car company without a backup plan (we've been burned by all of them before), but this experience was smooth and uneventful. And being right in the hotel was a big plus for us.

Despite the very low rating here, we went to to office (no other options at the time) and are 100% happy. Very clean and undamaged Jeep we had for a day. Including some free tips for our day trip to Death Valley. Think it’s worth sharing too, I would come back another time.

When we got to the Hertz office at 10:30am it was closed. The sign said their computers didn’t work. They sent us to the dollar rental location and said they will give us a car. At the dollar rental they told us they don’t have a car they could give us and deal with Hertz to cancel the reservation.

I wish I had checked the reviews beforehand. This company is a scam. I was charged a $150 fuel fee even though I returned the car with a full tank. Save yourself the trouble and rent from a more reputable company.

Return your car to Hotel Self-Parking level 6, Treasure Island. Hertz should have made the sign more visible to drivers.

If I could, I would have rated Hertz with 0 stars. Hertz ruined our opportunity to explore round Las Vegas. We booked a vehicle at Treasure Island on the Vegas strip. After being reassured that a vehicle would be available for us, we booked our excursions. Upon showing up the next day to pick up our vehicle, we were met with an empty office and a note on the door. They had our cell number and could have texted us about the change. Totally frustrated, we followed their poor instructions to another Hertz rental that was 30 minutes away. BTW, there is no Mirage tram! Upon arriving at the hotel, we were misdirected several times only to find out that there was no connection between the 2 offices. While the Hertz guy at the Venetian tried his best to help us, it was to no avail. No car and no outing. We are out our non refundable excursions (+$100) due to the incompetence of this company. We rent cars in multiple cities. But unless Hertz stands behind their company and does something for us, we won't even consider them on our next trip. So, Hertz - what are you going to do for us for me to change my rating?
