We had a great time at the winery during a cooking class. Chef Andrew Scott was fantastic, and the food was delicious. The wine pairing was wonderful! We will definitely be back.

We came here as reccomended by several other wineries so our expectations were raised, but the tasting itself fell short. Maybe it's because the tasting was complimentary, but the experienced felt very detached and rushed, as if he was waiting for us to quickly finish each sip so we could move on. We ended up buying some bottles so we definitely enjoyed the wine! Just not so much the tasting experience. They have a beautiful space outside where you can sit, sip, and enjoy a boardgame or two.

We had a reservation at another winery and found them to be closed on arrival. Upon deciding to reroute to Hester Creek, we told them of our situation and they found time to fit us into a private tasting in their Garland room. The hospitality, professionalism and knowledge of the team was absolutely stellar. Shoutout to Susan for being a legendary host. The wines here are fantastic, there is something for everyone. I personally always come back for the Judge and Garland.

My husband and I toured the area and stayed at the villa for one night. Upon arrival, Melissa greeted us and showed us the room as well as how to use the satellite TV. She left us with our choice of wine. The room was very quiet and the views of the valley were beautiful. There was an electric fireplace in the room and the beds were very soft and the pillows were the best. The rooms were updated recently, and the radiant flooring in the bathroom was great. In the morning, we were given a delicious homemade breakfast of eggs and fresh fruit and potato chunks and delicious coffee. Would definitely go again.

Recently enjoyed a 2 day stay at the Villas on the property and experienced a premium tasting with Brett. The wines are superb, our service was so excellent and the vibe is incredible. Sincere thanks to the entire Hester Creek winery team from Rob and me 🥂😃

What a fantastic experience! Hester Creek is not just a winery or a restaurant or overnight accommodations, it is an experience. The views are simply stunning and from the moment we arrived we were treated so well. Usually you'd be lucky to have one memorable interaction but between Melissa's warm welcome at the Villa, Susan's knowledge and personality shining through at our tasting, and Kristi's attentive service at dinner at Terrafina, the whole place is obviously staffed up with gems. What an absolute rockstar Kristi is, calmly motoring around the restaurant with a smile on her face the whole time. The food was excellent at both the restaurant and breakfast on our peaceful patio in the morning. So classy but not at all pretentious. We are delighted to be here and we will be back!

Yelp
This is an outstanding winery located between Oliver and Osoyoos. Terrafina is the restaurant on site-their food is outstanding. If you are looking for a traditional Italian meal, you must try Terrafina at Hester Creek. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. We truly enjoy every meal here. This is a busy restaurant in the summer and reservations are a must. The wine tasting room is in a separate building. Inside it is traditional Italian with several seating areas to choose from. There is a great, equally large summer patio. The wines are outstanding. This is a must visit restaurant if you are in the area.

Yelp
Fantastic setting. Fantastic wine with reasonable prices and a good range of prices. Our host was Jim and he was fantastic. The setting was so beautiful that we have booked to go for lunch tomorrow. One of our favorite wineries and I would recommend that you do not miss it.

Yelp
One of my fav wineries in Osoyoos. Try the judge and all the old vine wines. Also Eda is the best host in the tasting room. She made our day. We love you Eda!!!!

Yelp
Our fourth stop was at Hester Creek Estate Winery. The employee serving us was very friendly and patiently answered our questions about the wine, and the tasting room and grounds were beautiful. I sampled the Pinot Blanc, Trebbiano, Reserve Cabernet Franc, and Late Harvest Pinot Blanc. Nice wines, however I did not feel compelled to purchase anything. [Yelp collections: Wine Time!]

Yelp
Hester Creek Estate Winery provides outstanding service combined with a variety of wine options and simply tasty dishes. All servers were upbeat which made for a welcoming environment. We had the artisan bread to start, kale and salmon salad, summer primavera pasta, three glasses of wine, tiramisu, and coffee. The pasta was fresh and light, and the salmon was cooked a perfect medium, with the dessert an excellent balance of texture and sweetness. The pricing was reasonable and overall made for a wonderful night out.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this disclaimer. That's sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. We ended the trip with 120 bottles acquired.... including one called The Judge. Can you believe the hosts behind the counters at wineries are not allowed to drink? Wouldn't that be the first and most obvious reward? Rules dictate that each bottle be opened and tested to ensure samples given meet the quality necessary to sell said bottles. Makes sense, but unbelievably, the hosts are not allowed to swallow. No swallowing. Who would spit? Wouldn't the whole point be that you swallow? ...cough... Wait, no, I'm being serious. The host at Hester Creek that served my samples totally agreed as we discussed this trivia nugget. I repeat, this was a serious topic at the counter this day. We concurred that it was colossal waste of wine. And as we talked, such opportunity emerged; the host was required to open a new bottle. She pulled the cork, poured a glass, swirled, and took a sip. She swished, bent over the wine spittoon, glanced around the room, and swallowed. I caught that! And I'll never expose which host it was. I imagine more hosts do such and don't admit it, and said host immediately got my request. Hester Creek is an amazing winery featuring both a villa and a restaurant (Terrafina), the latter of which we also took in. The winery is one of the larger ones, traditional, with a large shopping area and an even larger tasting bar meant to accommodate dozens of people. As such, the time of day/ year may greatly affect your enjoyment, as even in August, I had to wait almost ten minutes before finding a space by the counter. But it is worth it. Admittedly, the wine shop is well-organized, but lacks personality. The interior doesn't look too different than most of the others in the region not built to resemble a castle. The wines offered are broad selection with many memorable tastes, with their flagship at the time, The Judge, taking top honors. Topped tables and standing vinyl signs punctuated the wide expanse of a tasting lounge, impressive though ultimately compromising panache in favor of advertising. It's a damn shame given how amazing the building and surrounding vistas are. I mean we're there already, travelling obviously long distances--you don't have to treat your tasting lounge like an upmarket Save-On. Terrafina, on the other hand, is a beautiful restaurant with serving areas in both the blistering Arrakis-like sun and in the air-conditions interior, the latter we selected. The only issue we had was entirely personal, as we had drunk too much at Road 13 not one hour earlier. The $29 antipasto platter tempted me, but opted for the calzone instead. Our dishes were astounding, and I respect the waiting staff for tolerating our attention span, that of a ferret on a double espresso. This is the kind of restaurant I wanted badly in my home town, and only recently and thankfully received. The reason Hester Creek tops the list of locations in the region is not so much just Hester Creek or its villa (which we may return to in 2017 depending on schedule and/or finances) but the fact that Gehringer Brother is walking distance across the street. In an expanse of rolling vineyards, there are no other two wineries that are as close. So yeah, this is place to go. Worth it. And always respects a host who swallows.

Yelp
Very enjoyable. On the weekends there is music. Nothing better than sitting on the patio enjoying a bottle of their amazing wine, the view and snacks.

Yelp
Very cool place to visit. Was a slow day when we went but it wasn't the best tasting experience I've had. Lack of hosting skills. This was Jan 2017 But it was good wine and a cool looking place.

Yelp
I called today to make reservations for 10 for 12:30 and they were able to accommodate on short notice. The location is superb. On a huge estate with views of the vineyard. We ordered pizza and appetizers and the veggie pasta. The food was very good and totally vegetarian friendly. The service was ok, but I think the common theme is that people take there time. There is no rush in the Okanagon. I would come back again!

Yelp
We've done wine tours in the Okanagan before, and even been to Hester Creek in the past for lunch and tasting, but regrettably we won't be back. When arriving on our tour yesterday we weren't greeted with a friendly hello - instead a "Did you call ahead!?" from the lovely Jacqueline. When the tour operator advise that yes, it was prearranged, we were given a huff and a grunt before heading inside. The tasting was forced and we were repeatedly reminded of how many we each had sampled as if her main goal was scorekeeping instead of showcasing the beautiful wines. No information, no pizzazz, just distain. And when her co-worker fellow graciously asked if she was okay, Jacqueline replied only with "Yeah, but I don't want to be here.". Sorry miss, I didn't realize we were such an inconvenience. We'll be sure not to tie you up in the future.

Yelp
Rude! We live in the area and went for a wine tasting. We walked in (it was busy, which is to be expected) and when a spot at the tasting counter opened up we stepped up to the bar. NO ONE acknowledged we were standing there. At one point a man came from the back room, stood in front of us, looked right at us, saw that no one was helping us, that we had no glasses and then asked another employee who was next. She pointed to people who had just come in an said, "I think they are," which is odd because she also saw us come up to the counter and never even said hi. At that point we left. To demonstrate the contrast, we next went to Burrowing Owl. When we walked in there it was also busy. The difference: as soon as we opened the door and entered someone looked over and said, "welcome," which is exactly how we felt. Oh, did I say the staff at Hester Creek is rude?

Yelp
Some tasty wine especially the Syrah-Viogner blend & their Merlot. Can't say enough good things about this winery & tasting room. They even have a culinary kitchen & pairing area for a group event and a totally separate Tuscany style private event tasting room complete with huge table that prob seats about 25 guests. A must try when you're in the Osoyoos & Oliver wine areas of southern Okanagan Valley.

Yelp
The food here used to be unbeatable and excellent value. Not anymore. We have been coming here every year for five years as a 'must stop' place for lunch in the Okanagan. The antipasti platter used to be great, and a good mix of goods at a reasonable price. But today it was over twice the price at half the quality. We won't be going back unfortunately.

Yelp
Today we were wonderfully surprised by an inaugural cheese and wine pairing event! 10/10 would recommend! My husband, myself and 4 other friends were welcomed into the little kitchen for an intimate wine tasting paired with perfect cheeses to bring out the true character of each wine. For a very reasonable price (less than $15), we were spoiled rotten. What a wonderful way to learn about Hester Wines!

Yelp
The Hester Creek Villas are a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are lovely with a beautiful view. There are only six Villas so it is quiet and quaint. Breakfast was delicious and included. Melissa was very accommodating and helpful. Ate at Terrafina restaurant, loved every bite!
