Hey Joe's Burgers + Beer

Stopped in for an appetizer snack. The macho nachos. They were pretty good. These came with grilled Chicken, over house made chips, with queso, BBQ sauce and jalapeños. The serving was smaller than expected. The nachos may be macho, but they are not mucho. Have previously had a burger and they are known for that. They’re good. Looks like it would be a happening place for nightlife. The inside bar at Hey Joes has plenty of beers, but you have to go to the adjoining bar for Daiquiris.

Stopped by here on our way to Vicksburg. Really cool vibe. It's exactly what it says it is, delicious burgers and a good variety of beers. We had really great service from Aston! If you're in the area, definitely give it a shot!

In search of a good dinner or in search of having a good time, I found this restaurant which has a quite authentic atmosphere, very Chill music, the Host quite pleasant as well as the Server offering its craft beers, which are Super good and the Chicken Wings, which I like are quite juicy and have a good flavor. It's a pity that I can't say the same about our main dish, which was the hamburger of the month. It's super dry meat, overcooked, tasteless, it They offer with Chorizo ​​and the least that they brought than the hamburger was the chorizo. It's an insult to cook the meat like that, that way, besides that it's not homemade (like the beers) they come from the boxes that SYSCO provides.

Burger was alright, but I could have saved money and been equally satisfied with a Krystal. I asked the bartender if all the burgers were smashed. He said they were, this was not. Standard frozen burger tossed on a flattop (taste would suggest it’s time to re-season or clean), but that was my mistake. Barkeep had about as much personality as the floor he was standing on. The kicker was the menu advertised “5 or 10” for wings, I ordered 5. Afterwards the receipt reads “1/2 pound” 🤣🤣. (HEY JOE, hush. Quit yer lie’n, son.) If I had known beforehand, I would have grabbed a photo of these hummingbird wings. Refer the photo and imagine that bone trying to support 1oz of meat (considering the bone is .4 oz). I am writing this review 5 minutes down the road and 5 minutes after leaving Hey Joe’s where I am eating again because that half pound of wings and 27.00 dollars later, I am still hungry.

I walked over from hotel as I’m from out of town. I originally placed an order for a 10-piece wing (made extra crispy) with the sauce on the side and small side salad (no tomatoes). They got my order wrong, thankfully I checked. They remade them and gave me the same exact wings that were previously sauces and put them back in the deep fryer. They are very much burned. I called back and the employee that I talked to apologized and told me they would issue me a refund. However, called me back and reneged on the refund. They told I would need to come back and give them the burnt food back—despite me being at an inconvenience. 1) I’m the customer and was put an inconvenience 2) I shouldn’t have to walk back because you burnt my food 3) you don’t offer a refund of someone’s money and then take it back

Hey Joe's Burgers + Beer is a great place to eat. They have a nice menu and can substitute a burger with a mushroom if you are vegan or veggie.

Didn't know the Mosquito Burrito had become neighbors to Hey Joe's and this is when I found out. SO, the review is kinda for both! Ordered the bowl with chicken and my favorites from the available fixings! Loved that it came with a side of queso because that's my fav. Sat in the outside (shared by both restaurants)area which I absolutely loved!! It was clean, had the utensils and Napkins on each table. Nice decor and good atmosphere. I haven't been to Hey Joe's in a couple of years so I'll have to visit when I'm back in town.

They have an excellent covered patio (that was playing the Women's college basketball tournament on the big screen — bonus points for that guys!) and terrific burgers. You order at the window, and then grab a table and they run your food to you when it's done. I went with the Nirvana burger, got a side of tater sticks (really long tater tots), and went with the local Amber ale that was on tap. Great choices all around.

Service was horrible. Management staff was not accommodating to simple requests. As a former employee years ago I'm absolutely shocked about how downhill this place has gone. This used to be the regular hangout. $15 dollars for a simple burger is insane. I can go get the same quality burger or better from McDonalds down the street. Do not go here!!!

I was visiting from out of town and wanted to try something local for lunch. This was one of the only restaurants I could find that was open during the day on a Friday. It has a cool atmosphere and the service was fine. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the mozzarella sticks for an app and they were the same as any frozen ones you get at the grocery store. Next we ordered the smash burger with waffle fries. The burger was bland. It needed more seasoning. The only way we got it down was by dipping it in ranch. The waffle fries were the best thing we had but nothing special. I would not eat here again.

There is bar seating and tables on the inside. Be sure to see the host to be seated on the inside.. Patio outside upstairs and down stairs on the outside. If you are sitting outside you can order at the window. There's a drink machine outside to get your refills, if u have tea you will need to call refill at the window bc the fountain doesn't have tea... A table on the inside will 8-10 ppl anything larger would have to be outside. Food is cooked when ordered and bought out in a timely manner! The macho nacho is my favorite appetizer. My group of 30 stopped here for dinner. It was truly representative of the Mississippi Delta. It had a honky tonk vibe with American fare. The wings were seasoned and cooked crispy- just how I like them. We ordered an array of burgers, nachos and appetizers. Everyone was pleased with their meal. The staff was friendly and attentive. They also have Trivia night on Wednesdays. If you are visiting the Cleveland area, give this place a try.

If you ever go to Hey Joes you've GOT to request Ryan Speth! I have had Hey Joes multiple upon multiple times, while my dish is ALWAYS absolutely scrumptious, whenever Ryan Speth brought it out I swear he put magic into that burger. Whenever he told me the ranch was out, he went all the way to his car to fetch me the bottle he keeps inside. I swear the aura he brought to the bar made my trivia game better, thank you for your service. Actually, let me keep going, his knowledge on all the craft beers was SUPERB I've never met someone who has tried so many beers in their life. If he wasn't such a chill dude I'd be concerned. Anywho go to Hey Joes before you miss the chance at service of a lifetime!

Very much like Chili's. The food was good and the atmosphere was good. Our water took good care of us, but there were only 5 people in the restaurant. I would go back.

Enjoyed the atmosphere. Went in right as they opened before it got busy. Was able to go next door to mosquito for food and enjoyed a beer and the quiet before the rush.

If I could give a title to this review, it would be "We should have gone to Jack's." I was very disappointed in this place, but I'll start with the positives. Hey Joe's has a nice informal atmosphere that doesn't seem forced. It was a big open space inside and a large patio outside. There's a chandelier with Christmas lights and concert posters all over. The service was also good; our server was very helpful. I was very pleased. The food though was a huge disappointed. My wife got chicken tenders, and they were literally premade chicken tenders like you would get in a school cafeteria. I got a Chicken Bacon Ranch Club Ranch Wrap. It was ok, but I didn't really taste the chicken or bacon (the only reason I knew the wrap has bacon in it was that the bacon was very crispy.) I think the ranch dressing overwhelmed everything else. I got "tater sticks" as a side. They are like a long tater tot. They were ok. My wife said the fries were good. We also got fried dill pickles as a side, and we enjoyed them, but they were nothing spectacular. Maybe it was a bad day, but since I don't think I'll be coming to Cleveland often, I doubt I'll come here again. (If I was given

The prices are kind of ridiculous here for what you get. The atmosphere is nice, and I love the outdoor area. There is a very limited menu to choose from, but it does have a decent variety. A lot of the servers are nice, but I have been told they are underpaid. They are charged for any to-go orders placed that are not picked up which I find to be a pretty terrible practice

This was mine and my girlfriend's first visit to this establishment, and I must say that we were impressed. I typically do not like waffle fries; however, they have seasoned waffle fries which were delicious. They offer alternative sides such as chips, side salad or pita/hummus. Since I was a kid, I've always enjoyed a good, sloppy burger. When I say the nostalgia was REAL! We both got the Joe's burger with their signature sauce and American cheese (they have Swiss and Cheddar options as well). PHENOMENAL. I had never tried a burger with egg so I did try that. Just isn't my cup of tea, but I'm certain it was me and not them. Definitely have to stop by and try their donuts next time!

You can experience Cleveland's number one business on Yelp. Opened in 2009, they have special events like trivia night and live bands that play here. I eat here every time I go on vacation to see my parents here in Cleveland, ms. I usually go to the bar when I am by myself. They have a good beer selection too including a magnolia beer that is made in Mississippi. I would get a sandwich here or a burger of your choice. There is another restaurant beside this one called the warehouse. However, service is better here and they are lot nicer and friendly. It doesn't matter who waits on me, they always have a smile. They have plenty of TVs in here too. There is a total of 6 TVs above the bar area. I like to come on Wednesdays as they have trivia night where you can win a $30 gift certificate to Hey Joes which can be used for anything here. Trivia starts at 8pm but I recommend getting here earlier.

Great atmosphere for a little small town burger joint. Verified venue on Untappd with a good selection of local draft beer. Food was delicious! I had the Kevin Bacon with Swiss cheese. The burger was very flavorful and juicy and the seasoned waffle fries were excellent. So you're wondering why I only gave it four stars? I'm glad you asked. The menu was underwhelming in my opinion. I was expecting more burger options and maybe a create your own. I know some people love a simple menu, but it left me wanting more. I was also disappointed that pepper jack wasn't a choice of cheese for my burger. Overall a great little place with indoor and outdoor seating and a great place to eat, drink, and watch football.

Server was great. Food awful. Husband ordered Miss March and only got fish and bun. We ordered cheese sticks and they were out of marinara. I ordered chicken bacon wrap, no bacon, no Swiss, just chicken, lettuce, tomato and ranch. French fries were horrible.

Cool downtown vibes, My group and I went on a Tribia Night( every Wednesday at 8:00 p.m ) and it was very cute and fun, food was great, service was immaculate!! Definitely consider going there if your ever in Cleveland!

We just left. We were not treated with respect. We were seated and then ignored until we asked for a waiter. People who came after we arrived were waited on. Then the waiter came and again waited on two more tables before he came to us. He came back with a hostile demeanor and reluctantly attempted to take our order. We politely asked for the ticket and left. In this day and age, nobody should be treated with such disrespect.

Delicious burgers with a really nice tasty special sauce. I asked for mine well done which was perfect and husband wanted his rare which it was also done perfectly. Nice friendly staff. The French fries and thick cut chips are awesome. Parking right outside.

I like this restaurant. It's almost on the rail road tracks. Nice, friendly waitresses and bartenders to wait on me every time I come in here. I can tell the bartender really likes her job as she is always smiling. There sandwiches are pretty good too but I got me a hey Joes hot dog called the mad dog. They also have the gonzo dog and it is really good too. It comes with every thing on it. They have beers on tap too. Most people around me seem to come here for the craft beers. I recommend coming here on Wednesdays for trivia night. They also have bands that play here sometimes. Of course they have TVs in here for sports.

I lived in Leland for a while so I sometimes drove to Hey Joe's for Wednesday night trivia. If you like beer, you will like Hey Joe's because they have a whole lot on tap. They do not, however, sell liquor. They have one cider that is pretty good. I am not a beer person but I like the chocolate beer that they have. In terms of food, their wings are very good. I have no idea what they season them with but they're excellent. They also have monthly specials. One month they had duck sliders with garlic aioli which were the bomb! I wish they added those to the menu. Their homemade chips are also very good. As are the nachos. I am not a huge fan of their fried hot tamales. They drown them in queso which is just unnecessary. In terms of trivia, it's fun some nights. It starts at 8 PM and usually lasts 1.5 or so hours. My biggest point of contempt is that the categories can often be *super duper* white. If you are not overly in tune with white (sometimes popular) culture, you will not be good at trivia. This is not exclusive to trivia at Hey Joe's but is just something to note if you are a person of color.

Most popular bar in town, especially among the college students, and has a great location - the first visible establishment when driving to downtown or delta state. Pretty good food, good draught beer selection. Not the best service, no liquor. I went in last Friday trying to order a burger at 9:06 but the waitress was quick to tell us that the kitchen closed at 9... so we sat at the bar to get a quick beer before going to Airport Grocery for food (their kitchen open until 10 and flexible with that time), and it took the bartender at Hey Joe's about 15 minutes to speak to us; we nearly walked out. They just added a very nice covered back patio set up with a stage, an upstairs deck, cornhole, and giant jenga. Quizo (bar trivia) on Wednesdays is always fun. Food is solid, they have a rotating burger of the month that donates proceeds to charity. Burgers are tasty. Get a double patty for only $1 more. Crowd is very trendy/hipster though, which isn't my preferred scene.

So...my teenage daughter went out tonight with her friends to enjoy a nice evening at Hey Joe's in Cleveland. She was dressed very nice and excited to be out of the house. This very rude waiter who she described as a fat white male turned a drink over on her. He never apologized and even had the audacity to chuckle at her. This was very embarrasing for her. On Monday, I will be reaching out to the management of Hey Joe's in Cleveland. What a disappointment...I was so happy she could get out and see her friends on tonight.

It's a bar that has subpar bar food. I'm not sure why I expected anything better. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive, the decor was a fun college pub style with a musical slant, the beer selection looked to be good but I did not imbibe. We ordered hummus appetizer; it was meh. The pita was over-crispy and the hummus was bland. I'd bet it was purchased and portioned. Don't bother asking for olive oil to go with it; the kitchen has none. The cheeseburger was hot but extra greasy, the chips seemed to be homemade but were stale like they were fried a few days ago. I asked if I could substitute the bun for a tortilla or pita bread but The kitchen has a no substitution policy for buns even though pitas and tortillas are on the menu. I offered to pay an up charge. It seemed like an easy request to fulfill but after checking with the kitchen the manager told me they would not make "what would amount to a new menu item for me." He did offer to sell me the "deconstructed" sandwich and another hummus and pita and I could put it together myself. No thanks; that is absurd. After two grease filled bites of the burger we checked out. So yeah probably a cool place for the college crowd to hang late night and drink but hard pass on the lunch date. For the Joes kitchen staff maybe try to be a bit more customer centric to the lunch crowd. Finally to end on a positive note, the Background music was A+: Pumpkins, Weezer, etc.

Got the Nirvana and fries. Yum! Appetizer of fried pickles was so fresh and yummy. Went next door to mosquito burrito and got daquiris. The live music was fun. The waitress was adorable and sweet!

This was a spontaneous choice on a work trip. I was pleased. I had a nice portobello veggie wrap. It was hot and fresh. They offer fries that are similar to Steak and Shake in shape, but these are seasoned. I bought a record on the way out.. X - more fun in the new word. Who knew that you could find a LA punk classic in a Mississippi burger shack! Cool place to find away from home.. easy living in the south.

Beer and Burgers. And there both really good. I had the Hey Joe last night and it was good, but the Kevin Bacon was the best. Onion ring are special, fires are good but the rings are better. Desert is more the the beer.

We went to Merigold last night at 7:30 after a ballgame specifically to eat at Crawdad's. We had a group of 3 families and the hostess there turned us away and wouldn't seat us. Luckily, one of the customers leaving overheard and kindly suggested Hey Joe's across the street. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed by the very sweet lady behind the counter. From what I saw there was a staff of 3 and they very quickly waited on us and got us our food, which was excellent! I highly recommend the Kevin Bacon and the Do-nots! Not one complaint in the group! Loved the atmosphere too!

The food here was pretty standard bar food, but it had great taste and good portion size. Not too greasy. Limited vegetarian options. Great service. One guy was working the front and was incredible. Didn't miss a beat. We got the fried moon pie for dessert, great take on a childhood classic.

My wife and I were visiting Indianola for Christmas and decided to drive up to Cleveland to check this spot out. I always loved Cleveland, and Hey Joe's was definitely worth the drive. The bartenders and waitresses were amazing and very knowledgeable about the beers on tap. The food was great and the beer selection was diverse. We'll definitely come back when I'm in Indianola again.

I had the turkey burger and it was great. My friend had the club and it was good as well. Service was good also. I will definitely eat here again.
