Great location, friendly staff, and thoughtful touches!
The location of this hostel is excellent, with plenty of free street parking nearby. It’s just a short 10-minute walk to Peake’s Quay Marina, where you’ll find Cows Ice Cream, local tourist shops, and a charming gazebo that had live music every day during our stay. Close to Victoria Street and many more historical sites.
The hostel itself was clean, welcoming, and full of thoughtful touches—like complimentary shampoo and feminine hygiene products, which were a lifesaver if you happened to forget anything.
Breakfast included apples, bananas, toast with jam and peanut butter, and a slice of homemade banana bread—thin but absolutely delicious!
The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think the experience would be greatly improved by adding privacy curtains to the bottom bunks in the dorm rooms. Even in the smaller 4-person dorms, this small addition would make a big difference for comfort and privacy.
That said, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I would definitely recommend this hostel to others. Thanks for a great stay!
