Stayed in two bedroom suite for 2 nights. It has a room with 1 large bed and the other room with 2 single beds. Very good room for 3 to 4 people. It has 2 bathrooms, each with own toilet and shower separated by glass screen. Also both rooms with own TV, desk and balcony. Location is great, walking distance to bus station, night bazaar, clock tower and plenty of nearby good food places. Clean place with comfortable beds and quiet environment.

The location is good - It is within the city center, walking distance to the night market was a huge plus. The breakfast was good - 200 Bhat per person. The room is clean & simple decor with a little balcony. 2 bottles of water provided. The reasons for the 4 stars are the following: The room has a very tiny TV, but nothing on it or may not work. I don't see the reason for TV being there. It is nice that they have a small refrigerator, but the freezer is also not working. Overall, it was a nice stay for the price, but things need to be improved.

Best feature of hotel is the location. Very close to the night market, bus station and clocktower. Rooms were clean and comfortable with everything you need. Staff were helpful , especially with supplying tours of the area. Breakfast was good with a decent selection. Pool was a slight disappointment but we never had the opportunity to use it anyway as we were always on the go.

The staff here are friendly and somewhat welcoming but don’t have a clue. Let’s start with an email we sent to them a week before our stay trying to confirm whether they have a free shuttle to and from the airport. At first they confirmed they do if we didn’t mind going as a group and not a private taxi. We didn’t have a problem with that and confirmed our arrival details with them. The next day we get an email saying that this shuttle is now 500 baht. The second instance of this is we get to the hotel early as our flight was an early one and they tell us we can’t check in until 1400. That’s fine even though on check out day there were people checking in at noon but that is justified. What I don’t get is when we inquired about the bikes that they have in the front of the lobby. We asked them if we could rent them as there were six there at the time and the two receptions look at each other and say rented already. Ok cool, so my wife and I go explore the city and take a grab to the mall. When we come back a few hours later ALL the bikes are still there and sitting in the same position as when we first arrived. The staff didn’t at anytime give us a time frame as to when they would be free. They also give you 1 key card so don’t buy anything that needs to be kept refrigerated or frozen cuz the key card is needed to operate the electric in the room. I get it you don’t want people keeping the AC on while they are out but after a long day of walking in the hot sun, I would like to drink cold water but that isn’t possible. The location was good only walking distance from the night markets, bus station and clock towers(new and old). The bed was very comfortable, I’ll give them that and the balcony got is very convenient if your planning to do laundry on site. The breakfast was ok. There wasn’t that great of a selection not like the other hotels I’ve visited in Thailand. Finally their pool is indoor and very small.

New hotel and state of the art. Excellent lighting, clean, comfortable, awesome location in town but off the Main Street so super quiet. Indoor pool, safe, even a washer and dryer to use.

The hotel is centrally located. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The pool is perfect after a day of exploring chiang rai. The shower is very hot and the water pressure is excellent. Perhaps the best shower I have found so far in Thailand. Very friendly staff.

The location is fantastic, close to the bus terminal. The bath towels are white and plush. My room was spacious and clean. My only misgivings were the soundproofing (muffled noise can be heard from adjacent rooms) and the lack of English language channels on the TV.

Unfortunately, I was not able to stay at Hi Chiang Rai as a cockroach came out of the drain before I had been in the room 10 minutes. I let the front desk know and asked to switch rooms, I was told housekeeping was informed but I’m guessing they were fully booked as I was not offered a new room or any sort of additional cleaning measures. The staff here genuinely seem like they want to help but if they’re fully booked it’s out of their hands. The cockroach did scurry back into the drain after a few minutes but the lack of action or surprise from the front desk was too concerning for me to stay. I checked out immediately and into another hotel. I give it 2 stars because the staff are very friendly, seem very nice and the location is perfect. Unfortunately, just not a winner for me this time.
